Finally someone talks about the problems in the Transformers community. The arguing that they can age, have a gender or saying that they are straight. Even TFWiki is aware of all of this and have 2 pages about the community. I have whitnessed many comments complaining about age gaps, their genders, about male and male ships and about violence in the TF war. If they don't like any of this, they should choose a different fandom because Transformers is not the right Fandom for people that don't like gay ships and massive age gaps in fragging robots. (Like you said, their maturity is based on how much experience the have in life, not the age)
My best friend irl loves Transformers Prime for The action, plot and style, the death and lore made it better. However what truly sold him was he fact that we had the Predicons involved and or GIANT METAL DRAGONS THAT CAN TRANSFORM AND EVOLVE kinda, THAT is what made him a fan of Transformers, cuz it was different from G1. We can still love G1, we can still love Prime, we can still love the Live action movies cuz most of us grew up with those movies, and to some that is there only form of reference. Sad to the hard core fans, but it’s fine if one guy wants to see Optimas roof aces off and put them on his wall, or tos ee Optimas say no to drugs ERR no to violence and be peaceful all the way threw, and have allll of his friends die around him and be more upset with Megatron. Honestly after being in this fandom for around seven plus years I've come to accept how every different continuity is it's own thing, don't constantly try to compare it to another show just because you like it more,these charecters are constantly changing very few charecters remain consistant with their lore, relationships,personality etc you just got to embrace every series for what it is. Yeah this is why I stick more with the Toy Side of the community. Like the most complaining that side gets to from what I've seen is how bad the exclusivity of certain figures can get at times, and accuracy to the character the figure is trying to portray.
I can say my favorite transformers show is Prime, mainly because it’s the one I grew up with, BUT I can realize there are flaws like with every transformers show/story. One of my biggest issues with Prime is that they make it a big deal that Optimus and Megatron used to friends, yet never feels like it nor does the reason for their separation go any deeper than your wrong I’m right. That’s why I’m interested to see what One has to offer in their backstory. Just for fun let’s go through some shows and discuss their flaws and good aspects. G1 it’s a traditional 80’s kids show I guess with some cool characters that’s all I got. G2 literally like 30 or so slightly edited g1 episodes Beast wars, my actual favorite TF show, has amazing characters, plot, humor but it kills off Tigatron and Airazor when their relationship was just getting good, kills off characters who could make the show more interesting like Ravage and Transmutate. Also rampage and Transmutate second best relationship from the show in my opinion. AND ON THE TOPIC OF RELATIONSHIP I hate that the main relationship sub plot got shifted to Silverbolt and Blackarachnia, that story sucked Silverbolts a simp, they made cheetor so down bad and the only purpose it served to the show was terrible sex jokes. ALSO NOT TO MENTION THAT TIGATRON AND AIRAZOR GOT KILLED OFF ONLY TO RETURN AS TIGERHAWK IN THE LAST 4 EPISODES ONLY TO GET KILLED OFF THE LITERAL EPISODE AFTER HES INTRODUCED. Rid 2001 haven’t watched it Unicorn trilogy as a whole cool character designs interested concepts that were executed poorly and shitty dialogue. To sum up the trilogy in two words “wasted potential” Transformers animated I don’t have anything really negative or positive to say. For me it was an average really good show. Prime I’ve already spoke on. Rid 2015 lot of character new and old. To much in your face humor from what I remember but still being ok at worst. Prime war trilogy cool to see the characters get animated and introduced to new fans, but ultimately mid as hell Cyberverse first season and a half absolute dog shit feels confused like it’s trying to be G1 but not, BUT the last couple of season MAN does the story get good I love the concepts introduced and how they adapt characters and introduce new ones and it has THE BEST soundwave moments in my opinion, soundwave my favorite I have mini collection of like 6 soundwave. Also, transformer cuthulu WFC trilogy kinda mid haven’t watched much Transformers Earthspark amazingly likable characters amazing new introductions to new concepts and characters besides Nightshade, we can all agree the way they introduced nightshade being non binary was kinda ass, I love the character but their introduction was eh. Also i being a beast wars slut love transmetal tarantulas’ design and how they’ve adapted his character in such a different way. ✨Bonus✨ movies 07 decent transformers movie Rotf cool in concept with some cool events but goes on for to long Dotm amazing has a good pace and decent story. Also I love the dreads and think they should be adapted into new transformers media Aoe Just bluntly stupid in the story and characters yet i still love it. Definitely the Dino bots, hound, and lockdown TLK cool designs but dumb in a different way that makes it kinda boring, but robot dragon cool Bumblebee amazing story amazing characters. Also big red mommy Rotb fun story, action, and characters love the adaption of the heralds of unicron and as previously stated Beast wars slut love it. But it pains me to see that airazor can’t catch a break like no tigatron and she serves as exposition then gets killed off in an upsetting way. Atleast it was her death wasn’t how they originally planned it be with primal snapping her neck, like that just seem disrespectful. (Edit) also transformers the movie feels like an extended G1 episode in all the right ways and if it had actual plot. All around just an amazing transformers movie and it was also the first which is amazing in how well it holds up in my opinion.

I am all for people having their own creative ship of characters they can ship together. But at the same time, ain't nothing wrong with gay Transformer couples. Also, On the topic of Geewunners. They're the type to say Bayverse Prime's brutal methods "aren't justified" when you look at the context. They all are, meanwhile these same Geewunners fans will praise rotb Prime, even though he was being unset he didn't kill Battletrap (which someone who shows disappointment for not wanting to kill someone is literally psycho behavior in my opinion) & only accept it because Prime looks G1. They even pull this with Bayverse Soundwave. Claim he never has screen time, yet praises Travis Knight's Soundwave which only had seconds of screentime. From my experience in the Transformers community, while I like some things G1, it cannot always be used as how Transformers are supposed to look. Especially in Netflix's war for Cybertron. A major disappointment in my opinion, seriously wish they used the 2010 War for Cybertron game designs instead. But of course Geewunners will probably lose their marbles since they'll act like literal whining children if their precious G1 ain't given attention (when it has been given it too much, no room for other things.)

We only got a little bit of story from the second transformers one trailer. I wasn’t mad more just bugged that Orian doesn’t seem to be a librarian mainly because I can understand the difference in perspective for Orian and D-16. However I am still excited to see the new movie because I just got back into transformers.
In the end I'm just glad to see that all these people are just a noisy minority, I think that those who have a problem with Tailgate have the same problem as with the lollies (who are young girls in appearance but thousands of years old, which allows the authors to sexualize them to death, something I find repulsive) but as you said, he's a robot and his relationship with Cyclonus is treated in a completely normal way, since it's not the appearance of a cybertronian that counts, whereas for the lollies it's the simple fact that they're human in appearance that poses a problem Edit : my bad I said "she" for Tailgate, my brain is fucked up

@@fenixfelixx I am complaining about the people who are simple minded that stick with G1, and complain about the other Tf shows who don't follow the G1 formula. The actual show is solid. It is good for what it is, but other shows don't need to follow G1 to make a Tf show.
Even tho i am more of a g1 guy i do like other transformers shows but what makes g1 endless for me i can just go back and re watch it and enjoy new content on the side i also read the comics too of idw and skybound i cant believe starscream shot my favorite autobot first while unconscious lol

Homie, you are overthinking it. Optimus is just a good guy trying to make the world/ universe a better place for all walks of life. He is a humble, peaceful, and understanding robot guy. If you have seen My Hero Academia, he is like All Might. Trying to save people and preserving the peace, and goodness of people.
