Always special. Thank you! Love your Saturday Shrug by the way. Maybe I’ll make it after all 😊 Ginger Twist has a special place in my heart. Love it when you mention it.
The scammers are hitting RUclips in all venues! The knitting bags are so very lovely to me as trees and the dragonfly are two of my favorites. And the fabric combinations, perfection! I am primarily a needleworker: sewing, counted cross stitch and I've become interested in blackwork and loom knitting these last few years. I would watch your podcasts just to see your colorwork, because it is surprising to me and stunning! But I really love listening to your philosophy of life, the card readings, the joy you bring to knitting and your gorgeous voice! So thank you for enriching my life Amy ❤ I was so excited about the color combination for your black, purple & grey but the addition of the stained glass makes it! That is exactly why I watch! The flamingo and turmeric scrunchie looks like a tequila sunrise 🌅 I so want to make a shrug! So I started watching tutorials! You are such a good sister in law❣ I feel hugs when you call us "love". I need that right now💕
All your FO’s are gorgeous and I love the addition of the Suri in Caitlin Hunter’s pullover and the purple is stunning! Can’t believe the yarn you find at the charity shops, wow! Thx for another great podcast Amy.
Hello dear Amy, thank you for another great episode! Yes, Close Knit by Laerke Bagger brings a lot of ideas! Love your scrunchies and shrug! Congratulations for your opera singer son!! Have a nice trip! 😘
What a nice episode! Thank you for the inspiration Amy!!! I think your bronze muskat will become a very nice sweater with some of your bright colours. Can't wait to see your combination.❣
I thought I recognised the name on your book. I was watching a Norwegian TV programme called Strikkedilla (unfortunately no English subs as far as I know) featuring Lærke Bagger and Christine Feldthaus. They go on trips in Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland to visit yarn stores, knitwear designers and things like that. They'd try to knit a garment in each location using local yarns and fibres (sometimes quite bizarre to me, such as horse hair or dog hair). It's really nice to see the traditional knitting practices in these places. Maybe we'll have to petition the Norwegian TV broadcaster to start putting English subs on their programmes!
Just delightful Amy, as always pure joy. Your voice is so lovely I could listen to you talk about garbage collection and I’m sure it would make me smile. Thanks for another wonderful episode filled with joy and inspiration 🥰
Knitting along to this lovely episode - whilst you chat, I'm currently using Ripples Craft's 'The Mistaken Thrift' 4ply BFL/nep yarn to make a jumper I hope to wear to The Scottish Wool Producer's Showcase. See if you can spot me!
I am so glad I’ve discovered your podcast. It’s refreshing to hear of the mess-up and fixes too. It’s easy to assume a project goes swimmingly when we just see a photo on instagram. Thanks so much for sharing your real journey to the FO. 🤗
As always, a lot of content with new and what's coming up that I enjoy listening. I also liked the end video of your harbor, a bit of insight to your neighborhood.
a friend recommended me your podcast today. What are the chances that I have found a podcast including knitting, intuition and even oracle cards. I’m am happy to be here 💕
Another wonderful episode. You are an inspiration and a terrible influence. LOL Trying to reduce my stash but oh those beautiful yarns and colours from Olann were just too beautiful to resist. I know I won't receive the same ones but I am sure whatever I receive will be gorgeous. One of my goals for 2023 is to read at least one book a month. January's book was Reincarnation Blues by Michael Poore. It is very unusual, humorous and makes you think. February was Black History month so I choose The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin, written in 1962-63 but still so meaningful today. Here in the US it is Women's History Month. I wasn't sure what I wanted to read next so I was thrilled with your selection. It ticks two boxes written by a woman and staring on the Spring Equinox. As I organize my plans for my Spring and Summer knits, your WIPs always produce a shift in my plans. I can't wait to see the finished Cardigan. Thank you for sharing your successes and challenges. I love learning new yarns, techniques and books.
I meant to add what a lovely palette of color surrounds you for inspiration! Even a pop of neon orange in the life ring against more subtle colors! Thanks and I love the music as well!
Has anyone ever told you your look can be a character out of Lord of the Rings? If you had pointy ears you could be an elf . This is a compliment in the best way!
I‘m always looking forward to watching your podcast, thanks a lot. There are so many beautiful knittings you made, and I especially like your version of the Ilya with the little wild part of your colours that makes the yoke looking so alive. A few days ago I watched your episodes of the shawl wall again and now I am so confused not knowing where to start. Knitting one as they are all so wonderful.
Thank you for including the pictures of your neighborhood. It was such a nice way to end the video for those of us who haven't been able to visit your part of the world.
Fantastic podcast! It’s such a joy to listen to you and see all your projects and what you are planning next. Brings me so much joy. The footage of the harbour at the end is fab. Thank you so much.
You sure had a productive knitting month ! Wow ! I just love the pop of color you added in your Ilya by Caitlin Hunter. I don't find it too wild ,quite the opposite, it really brigs life to the sweater. Thanks for showing your surrondings, it makes me dream ...
I very much enjoyed this podcast. I'm glad I stuck with it till the part where you mentioned "Grit", I really must get to see the Grit Orchestra performance live some time. It would be be so fantastic. Extra nice that your young man was in the chorus too. There are very few things that beat a fine, live, orchestral performance.
I just watched Falling for Figaro which was set in Scotland! It was delightful! So happy you were able to see your son perform❣ You give us the joy of being read to, each and every podcast, so I'm very happy for you to have that experience while knitting!
So much beauty and inspiration - thank you Amy! I think a sparkly something must be in my knitting future - in anticipation of next Christmas a Lento made of denim Holst supersoft with a strand of navy suri and then the silvery sparkles - all in my stash so yay!!
Amy I love your Saturday shrug ❤ Did you knit it in worsted or DK? Love the way it sits on your shoulders, what type of cast on did you use? Number of stitches? Just gorgeous!
First time watching your podcast, absolutely loved it. I love your outlook and will definitely be watching previous episodes and subscribe going forward
I’ve only just found you Amy and watched your previous podcast yesterday. Lovely! Wanted to comment on that one about Death in Paradise - yes I love it too after resisting for years (my husband has always enjoyed it) and now we have a routine where we shout “hooray there’s been a murder” and boogy along to the theme tune! Now I’ve written it down I’m not sure I should be confessing - too late now!
I loved seeing the harbour and other places you took us at the end of this episode. I also enjoyed the music playing with the footage - what and who was it please?
Love your podcast as usual. May I ask that fellow knitters send items to Syria and Turkey earthquake victims, in particular for children. You can find details online where to send the items. Thank you!
I was so hoping when I left that comment about the Ilya neck that you hadn't worked to far past that! I'm glad you found a way to fix it without ripping too much back though!
I’m so glad you caught what I’d done and left the comment pointing it out! Thank you! It gave me plenty time to strategise my fix. Truly most appreciated. 🙏🏻
Can you please tell me how many balls of Drops Flora you bought for the Lento you are knitting, thank you for your podcast, always looking forward to the next one, cheers from 🇨🇦
You Lento is lovely Amy, have you also added some stitches on the collar? It looks much wider that what I get, I also have done only 9 rows and did not fold it. Thanks!
Amy, are you from Newcastle? I lived in Newcastle for 1,5 years and enjoyed it a lot. As a Norwegian there I recognized quite a few traces of scandinavian culture and words. And I really got well on with the people there, good laughs and good people. As usual you make a lot of nice thnigs, I would very much like to go back to Newcastle, Tynemouth and Whitley Bay where we lived at the time and maybe find some nice yarns there. There were some small cosy shops there.
Baba Yaga is from Russian folk tales she lived in the forest in the old wooden house that had chicken legs and could run as well 😂 I’ve never been afraid of her 😂
Sure! I think I just did a yarn over, k1, sm, yarn over. To keep 1 stitch between the yarn overs. Alternatively you could do a yarn over, k1, sm, k1, and then your 2nd yarn over. Go with the look you like the best! But basically, you’re simply replacing the increase in the pattern with a yarn over, k1.
Just ordered 2 bags from your aunt; they’re gorgeous and I cannot wait for them to arrive. Thank you for introducing them.😊
Love love the speckled mohair!!
Wonderful early morning watch, thank you so much, yet again. Could not resist ordering one of the beautiful dragonfly project bags either 💕

So many joyful things for you to look forward to including the Wool Producers Showcase. Hope to see you there. 🐑🐏🧶
Lovely listening to you, your laughter is joyous and contagious. Great sweaters you've completed. Keep up the good work.
I love the way you’ve used a speckle mohair to get the interesting pattern on your lento xxx

Oh my your Saturday Shrug ❤
Thank you Amy. You are just what I needed today 😊
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your podcast. Just what I needed. I've taken lots of inspiration from this episode and was a joy to watch x

Nice to see what you've been knitting. I enjoyed your reading in this episode.
Seeing you in your Lento & matching Bisbis, I keep thinking you look like a sugarplum fairy. I love the gentle rosy colors, they really suit you!

What a true joy this new episode is 🥰 I am just a tiny bit jealous of all the acquisitions, though 😜
Some episodes there’s hardly any - this time there was a lot!!

Looking forward to it!!
Ha!!! You said the comment about them guessing your colors and I thought :purples/persimmon/golds/rose.!!!
Also totally my colours!! 😂😂😂
Can you please tell me how many balls of Drops Flora you bought for the Lento you are knitting, thank you for your podcast, always looking forward to the next one, cheers from 🇨🇦
I bought 4, but I think I only used 3. But then I was knitting size 1.
@@AmyPalko thank you Amy for your quick reply, it is helpful🧶🌷🇨🇦
You Lento is lovely Amy, have you also added some stitches on the collar? It looks much wider that what I get, I also have done only 9 rows and did not fold it. Thanks!
I cast on the number of stitches stated for sz 3 of the pattern using the German twisted cast on method.
Trains not planes - hooray!!

Nope - born and bred in Scotland, and lived here all my life. But Newcastle is not too far over the border - about 2hrs on the train, I think.
@@AmyPalko I took the train to Scotland and Edinborough once, also very nice.

Hi ! Would you mind explaining how to change the raglan increases to eyelet stitch ? Newbie here .. and learn everyday!
Sure! I think I just did a yarn over, k1, sm, yarn over. To keep 1 stitch between the yarn overs. Alternatively you could do a yarn over, k1, sm, k1, and then your 2nd yarn over.
