That was a very quick two hours!! I am knitting your Coorie In poncho with my very first advent from Chelsea Luxe!! I’m thinking advents will probably be on my radar from now on!! Your FOs are lovely…and so are you!
Parenting never ends, it just changes. Thank you for a wonderful catch-up episode with all your lovely knits. Such an inspiration! Can't wait to see which Goddess comes up - you've been spot on so far!!! Wishing you a peaceful holiday 😊
Just delightful, your knits, your yarn purchases/gifts, your future knitting plans and your very calming persona, exactly what is needed during this very busy month. Thank you for putting all of this together Amy. Enjoy Vogue Knitting Live with your mom. Wishing you a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year x
I am so glad to see you back, I get what you are saying about accompanying your kids through their tough times without overdoing it ... Have a good festive season with your loved ones !!!
Oh what a perfect timing, dear Amy! I’m home with a cold and have a pile of knitting and pot of tea and this is just exactly them most healing and delightful way to fill my day! So grateful for you!
So lovely to spend time with you today, Amy. It's always a pleasure! I love all of your knits and the colors for your Lapwing Collar are just stunning. Wishing you a wonderful and peaceful holiday season.
Dear Amy, I am always deeply moved by your spirituality which really speaks to me. Wishing you and your family much love and laughter this Christmas time. XX
You have been busy 😂 … so many beautiful knits. I especially love the Stephen West Ginormous sweater. I love how you attack many BIG projects! How wonderful that you are going to Bogue Knitting Live…. That will be a great experience and sharing it with your Mum is the icing on the 🧁 Pitlochry… such a magical word for me. When I was 16 I went to work in a restaurant over the summer months! First time away from home and had the time of my life. I also have a lovely friend in Linda, the wife of David of Moulin Yarns… what a small world it is. She is my mentor of Scotland 🏴 past and present.😊 Looking forward to seeing your Feathered collar…. Have a lovely Christmas xx
My goodness, you’ve been knitting like a maniac! Gorgeous FO’s! Your swan cardigan is going to be extraordinary, looking forward to your progress on that. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!🎉
Dear Amy! Thank you for this joyful episode. Wishing you and your family also a wonderful christmastime and a happy new year! Best wishes from Germany. Stephanie
Wow Amy your Stephen west go go is stunning the colour is glorious Ive just finished mine. I’m glad your on the mend being unwell with a cough is exhausting. Brightest blessings to you
Oh! I have the Lapwing Collar kit (also with reds - lol), but I changed my mind on the colors I want to do it in, so I've got to get or make different yarn. My love of crows means I want it in primarily black with aubergine, deep blue, evergreen, and a deep burgundy. I just need to figure out which one will be a paler color to get that pop. Meanwhile I tried making a feather to figure out gauge and Alice Starmore and I are very different knitters. I've had to go down 3-4 needle sizes to get her gauge. Someone said it was because she knits fast and on just the tips of her needles, whereas I'm much slower and stuff the needle further in for each stitch, which makes for a looser gauge. I'll be doing this thing on itty bitty lace needles. It might take me half of forever, but it will be worth it. Honestly, everything she and Jade design is pretty amazing. The Jane Seymour from Tudor Roses is also on my list of must haves :D I think your camera is trying too hard when you hold something up next to your face. Everything sort of swims on the screen. Perhaps there is a setting wonky in it for depth perception, because I don't remember it ever happening before in your podcast. Maybe? It might just be me. A very merry Christmas to you and yours! I hope Santa treats you beautifully.
Really looking forward to seeing your Alice Starmore project. After my trip to Scotland, I purchased the Witch Hare beret and mitten kit and I have been incredibly happy with it. Would love to see more designers offer a pattern card. Wishing you a happy Christmas.
Lovely to see everything you have been making. LOVE your Stephen West on you, spectacular colour! I made this from some Pirkalanka and it really is heavy, if I made another I think I would choose Letlopi. Your mention of the GFT took me back forty years (Oh, God!) to when I was a student, staying in the Deco Baird Hall a few minutes along the street. My room-mate and I went several times a week, usually when we had had enough of our engineering sums! 50p to get in. How lucky we were, and we took full advantage.
I used to go to the Cameo and the Filmhouse in Edinburgh all the time too. Very cheap tickets. Saw so many wonderful films. Now it's so expensive to go to the cinema!
O goodness your over sized jumper is absolutely gorgeous ,I just love it ,but I’ll never ever be able to knit it ,think it’s just tooo complicated for me but well done to you it’s absolutely stunning xxxx
Hello Amy. Je suis ravie de vous revoir. Comme toujours, si poétique. j'adore vos ouvrages, choix de la laines et leur couleurs. Je vous souhaite très joyeux Noël avec vos proches et encore beaucoup d'inspirations pour nouvelle année. 😊🌟🖐️
So, for the 1st sample I used all but 1.5g of 2 x 100g/400m skeins. For the 2nd sample, I used about 2 and half skeins of 100g/350m. I think I'm going to be recommending that meterage rather than the first as the possibility of yarn chicken was all too real!
Hi Amy, you had so many lovely projects to share (I'm lusting after the colour combo of your Go Go Dynamo shawl!), however I was unable to watch your video for very long because the side to side sloshing movement of the camera made me motion sick 🥴😢
Unfortunately, it was a little bit more complicated than that as it is knitted from the bottom up and it's a split hem. So you want the splits to be at either side and the seam in the centre. It took a bit of fiddling but I got there in the end.
Well, the pattern still only exists as a garbled mess in my notebook. But I will write it up at some point - especially knowing that there is someone out there who would love to knit one too.
What a lovely catch up Amy, I wish you a wonderful holiday and hopefully a lot of knitting time. Good to see your smiling face.

Excited for your Lampwing Collar!
I enjoyed every minute of your podcast. Thank you for showing all your FOs, WIPs, and new projects-to-be. Your podcasts are absolutely delightful!

Such sad news about New Lanark. I really enjoyed my visit there in 2017. Will miss the yarn.
Happy birthday xx and merry Christmas 💖

Well I’ll get my daughter to order the pattern and next year I’ll t try and see how I get on
Have a lovely festive time when it comes ❤xx

@@AmyPalko I'm astonished at the cost now. I enjoy hearing your descriptions of your visits, thanks.

Stephen's patterns are always so well written - very easy to follow. I think you could totally knit it!
Unfortunately most of what you showed us.... Books etc, were mostly out of the screen. Anyway it was a full and fun episode.
Ah - I'll try and do better next time.
Yes...and when you held up things it was llike the background was shaking (the camera trying to focus?)...like getting sea sick...🙈

Merci beaucoup!
Oooh, it looks like Ludwig will come to Britbox in the U.S. in 2025. It sounds great! I'm really taken with that Lapwing collar! Gorgeous.
Oh you're going to love Ludwig. It's brilliant. 2nd season cannot come quick enough!
Could be a new trend an emotional support swan! They are rather beautiful and somewhat mystical
Yes! An emotional support swan. I believe Anna Pavlova had one....
How many skeins did you use for glisk Amy just want to have enough yarn in stash ready to go whenever it’s ready to go
So, for the 1st sample I used all but 1.5g of 2 x 100g/400m skeins. For the 2nd sample, I used about 2 and half skeins of 100g/350m. I think I'm going to be recommending that meterage rather than the first as the possibility of yarn chicken was all too real!

I think that was just at one point, rather than the whole way through. But I'll strive for better next time.
Couldnt you just change your BOR to the center to achieve your center stitch to line up with your ribbing of Weekender?
Unfortunately, it was a little bit more complicated than that as it is knitted from the bottom up and it's a split hem. So you want the splits to be at either side and the seam in the centre. It took a bit of fiddling but I got there in the end.
I’d love to make your fiere w my advent yarn! Can i get the pattern somewhere? 😊
Well, the pattern still only exists as a garbled mess in my notebook. But I will write it up at some point - especially knowing that there is someone out there who would love to knit one too.
@ oh yes!!! Thats me!!! ❤️
Its beautiful
