- The Stinson and the Super STOL head out to the Pit a private gypsum quarry in north Michigan. This Pit has multiple runways and today we get to try a new one. As always fun times were had.

Absolutely LOVE your videos. The pit looks like a blast soon here I'll have a taylorcraft project done and I'll have to come check it out for myself. Hope to see you at some fly ins this summer!
Good luck on the Taylorcraft project. Which engine did you go with?
@@GreatMichiganBushCo Its an experimental center stick, single seat swick conversion with an o235. Shouldnt have any problem in the pit!
@@anac3652 100+ horsepower in the Taylorcaft. That should be a great little performer.
It looks great with those bigger tires!!
Im not sure I like them as much as the 850's but it sure looks good.
Goals 🥰 hope I can get some fat tires too. maybe one day ill be able to afford the super stinson upgrade!
When it comes time to overhaul it's really the way to go. Someone will want the firewall forward, overhaul a core and install. The fat tires might not help much but they sure look good.
Pretty sure I saw pics of blue suede shoes in WV, can't wait for that video!

The Lycoming O-360 conversion is perhaps the best compromise for the 108. Good HP with a CS prop, no extra weight, no CG shift, and the same fuel burn. Which STC are you going with? Very interested to see videos on this conversion!
I found the CS prop added quite a by it of weight so I decided on the solid crank and a ground adjustable prop. The plane should lose some weight and the CG should shift aft. Fingers crossed.

How do you get a Super Stinson?
First you pay the value of the plane in an STC so that you can have permission.
Second you pay twice the value of the plane to put a 540 and a new prop on the plane.
Or you just by a Maule! 😎
Well I think your "value" numbers are off by more than a factor of two. Speaking from first hand experience. Stay tuned and see what happens
