Nice video, I like this a lot & I would like to buy one at a reasonable price if you please.
@@efrainrodriguez9550 That's actually a damn good price for new. But if you need to go cheaper, you can undoubtedly get something second hand for less - although you'll also have to spend some money and time putting everything right again before you fly. When people sell, it's usually for a reason.
Just watched your video on the "Taking Off" yt channel and came here, liked and subbed! Would be amazing learning to fly amd owning one of these. I wonder how much one fully built might cost. I'll have to check his website out! Thanks, great video!
Signature 😉👍, this is the dream of a lifetime, l wonder how much such plane costs if you order it?
How can I talk or chat with your company to discuss about how I can buy one of the aircraft?
Thank you for being the ONLY video on RUclips actually demonstrating the wing turn in its entirety.
I really like this fellow at STOLIT. He didn't talk smack and gave realistic answers to all your questions. Best of all, he flew a great demo flight. Really appreciated the way he does business.
Kris is a great guy, but...he was over late last week and forgot to mention to me that he'd been interviewed and the video was up. :-P
But the planes are great, and he's a solid pilot - no ego bs, he just does the job right. (I had a great joyflight with him a couple of years back, but I tend to get airsick in really small aircraft, so that was probably my last flight.)
@@aussiebloke609 He seems like a great solid guy! Would live to be able to own a plane like that! I need to find his website
Why use 4130 for the frame and aluminum for the wings?
I'd love to have one. I'm impressed by the little modifications that make such a large impact on the flight characteristics.
@4:39 nice shot of a cold case of Natty Light in the fridge
We are trying to copy this amazing property here! Thanks so much for sharing this place!!!
I'm told....IT'S FOR SALE if you are interested. It's in Fair Play SC.
What a great little airplane with some amazing features and characteristics!
It was a very informative, useful and nice video. Greetings from Turkey to all aviation and aircraft enthusiasts.
WOW!!! I continue to find these delightful videos on EAC channel!! I am too old and poor to ever have my own plane, bu I enjoy watching what othes are doing.. That little airplane was a blast to fly...it almost looked like a model airplane it was stable. .It is very exciting!! Have you ever done anything with the Mike and Mark Patey? Those guys are brillian!
Thank You for your support! I enjoyed this EPISODE as well. Lot's of fun in the making. Regarding Mike and Mark Patey... we have spoken a few times and trying to work out a schedule to visit. :-)
Nunca se es viejo para comenzar, yo también estoy viejo y quiero hacer mi propio avión experimental, lo importante es tener muchas ganas de hacerlo y echar a volar los sueños, cuente conmigo.
I just love how you go to all these places do all these interviews you just really impress me on your channel. God bless you and your family keep up the great work.
@Charles L. Brown THANK YOU very much for your support. Trying to do something different more more "personal" by actually being there. :-)
Lost contact for a minute. Damn Bryan you have created a great job for yourself. What a life getting to tour all these factories and fly some great aircraft too! That takeoff has to get your adrenaline running the first time you thread that needle through the trees? Your eyes were as wide open as they get when you were spotting the trees on both sides of the aircraft going through the eyelet! Yea baby that’s flying!! I made a paint booth out of a 21’ party tent I bough for $375 with metal polls to keep it up. Then pressurized it with a large blower fan and filters for exhausting the airflow. My neighbors complained to our township because they can. I used water base paints and was inside of EPA guidelines but it didn’t matter. I finished the paint job anyway. I told them to bring me up on charges but they had none. Sometimes neighbors can be asses because they want to be. But I recommend checking with local ordinances before taking on a paint booth but in my opinion using a collapsible paint booth is the way to go with metal poll structures because you can ground the metal polls and you will buildup a good amount of static charge when moving a large amount of air over the plastic woven coverings. You want to prevent the aircraft surfaces from attracting any foreign debris so keep the buildup charges as low as possible.
YES... I was Eyes Wide Open for that take off for sure! First time personally off of such a short strip AND trees at the end. As you can see we had to make an "S-Turn" at the end to clear the trees! Not to mention there was a house and a tree on either side of the runway. I don't hide my emotions well I guess! Hah! Thanks for watching and supporting here! :-)
Another good one! Love the Just Aircraft SUPERSTOL-XL. This is on my short list.
Thank You Ms. Randi! I appreciate you showing up and supporting here! :-)
This channel is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Thanks for the entertaining content sir!
Finaly someone nice answering all the questios,I will talk to my boss to get into stoll planes since he is a helicopter pilot.....see you soon!!!
I already have too many expensive hobbies and now i want a STOL
Bryan another great job. Help assist building what nice deal. Super S.T.O.L. Highlander nearly floats down for landings. Impressive! Keep up the great work your channel is catching on.
Thank you Randall. It was a great experience both on the ground and in the air. Thank you for you support here. I appreciate you.
Experimental Aircraft Channel put this one on your bucket list Bryan, Mike Patey’s super mancave of hangar/ build shop/home from home! Maybe some day right. I bet Cory Robin could hook ya up. LOL 😆
@@randallharmsen5802 Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Fingers crossed! :-)
Love and lust for the thrill of STOL TAKE OFF AND LANDINGS that plane is absolutely 💯 % sick
Glad you made it down to these guys. They are local to me. A few of my engineer friends have been trying to figure out how to meet these guys.
Super video! Probably watched more STOL videos than any other type! Beautiful designs! I fly a VANS RV9A that is currently getting a panel upgrade with the Garmin G3X. Cheers and blue skies from The Flight Level!
I enjoyed every second of the video. God watch you always bro
Bryan, another very well done video. You’re are getting better with each one. Thanks for the content.
Looks like so much fun.
Who noticed the natural light in the refrigerated tool box? Definitely a good workshop. Equipped with beer. 🍺🍺🍺
yeah but it's natty light, that's barely beer
@@SAVikingSA I agree totally. I drink Guinness or Sam Adams
Nice clean shop. I appreciate that.
Very nice! Did you happen to catch the small little carpets at the front of the hangar to wipe your feet on? A little OCD? Love it! Keep it clean! Thank you for taking to time to watch today and to leave a comment. I appreciate YOU.
@@ExperimentalAircraftChannel I also like the long carpets he often has at the hanger door, so the aircraft can also wipe their "feet." It keeps the dust and much down inside, which is always a plus.
Cool video and cool guy thanks for sharing. Looks awesome and fun.
This is one super cool airplane. Great video: extremely entertaining and informative. I loved the s-turning departures and approaches! Truly an awesome demo, and my hat's off to the pilot and camera crew. Best regards from Brasilia, Brazil.
Catfish belly looks perfect for amphibious setup too.
Love the automatic slats. More small plane should have them!
Man, would I love to have one of those to launch out of the backyard here! Looked like a blast! One of these days I'll make it happen. Very impressive wing on that thing! Thanks for sharing, Bryan! 👍🍻
Boy I like that white fixed prop!
Natural Light in the fridge....my kinda shop 👍🏾
Well,ummmm, I loved this.
Another great video! You've been knocking out some great content. Thanks
@KGFlyer55 Thank You. Very much appreciated. I need your support here! :-) Thanks for watching.
Big box o Natty for all your building needs!
Эпично смотрится процесс подъема двери авиационного ангара под русскую народную песню: "Хазбулат удалой" :)
Love the beer fridge!
Nice Job on a well and overbuilt safe plane.
That is a great little kite. Fantastic.
I hit subscribed long ago, I give ya a thumbs up too, really like the shop views ( stuff hanging, things in build, the smell of fresh, unpainted super flight etc.)........ 23-4 mph and it just flies along.... hmmmm... I've stuck my hand out the window of my car at 20-30 mph and that's not a lot of wind ......... need more info........... but I kinda like it.... could I paint one in Crush Orange with checkered flag tail fathers ? ( lol)............... GREAT video... and smile when your in a stall on landing next time, looked a bit nervous !
Nervous you say? Did it show...much?? Hah! YES! Absolutely! This honestly was my first flight every in a Super STOL and off such a short runway with obstructions at every turn! :-) I was watching the house on the right (and big tree limb hanging over the runway) and a tree to the left and then kick the rudder and S-Turn to the left to clear the trees! So that smile went to concern in 2.5 seconds for certain! Father of 3 here remember. It honestly was a blast. I will do better to be more "Alive" on camera and talk about what is going on in the future. Truth is... I completely forgot the GoPro was running and with audio. So what we captured and what I was able to share from the cockpit was a "bonus." Catch you in the next one. THANK YOU for showing up today and watching and commenting!
@@ExperimentalAircraftChannel Heh, I don't blame you for being nervous! Amazing how slow those can fly and then plunk it down on the off road suspension.
Gostei da estrutura fuselagem e flaps dessa aeronave ,bem elaborado, uma ótima sustentação.👏👏👏👏👍
Greating from Poland !! Nice plane
Flying at 24mph! That's awesome
Awesome!!!!
Orville, loves those wings ⬆️
From Los Angeles California USA 🇺🇸 Thumbs up 👍
Hello from CA! Thanks for chiming in here and taking the time to watch today!
For modern and kit this is no frills and to the point build I like it .
Very Cool 😎! I have just one question:
Will STOL IT supply my temporary Ritalin drip, or do I get that separately?
Very very very good job guys, Hi from Costa Rica!
Très très joli .......👍💌🇩🇿
Good concept
Got that s turn at the end of the strip!
Excellent stuff bro
MAGISTRAL SUPER STALL PLANE GREAT!
Great video ! Andrés from Santiago, Chile.
Hello from Chile! Thank You for watching today and stopping by in the comments. I appreciate you!
How tough is that airframe compared to other bush planes? looks pretty thin
Excellent video and built...
I like it! Wing that works and really minimal construction.
Yes sir! Time for you to build something :-)
Whats the name of tail wheel friction lock, Could not catch it correctly, Gimcole?
Think he said the designer's naem was Jim Pacole (spelling may vary).
USA..A Flight Paradise.
VERY GOOD ! CONGRATULATIONs BRASIL
Great videos bud, very informative and helpful.
Love Just aircraft. I hope to own one some day.
Great looking and fun. Thanks
멋진 비행기네요 여기는 한국인데 기회되면 한대 구입하고 싶습니다 항상 안전비행하세요^^
Nice airplane my best regards from Tampico Mexico.
cool little plan
So cool I had no idea Big John Daily built planes
Dude great video thank you!
Those things are so sweet ! But i can't make up my mind between a highlander or a kitfox.
This is fantastic. I’m an instrument rated pilot. How much would cost the model that you flew with the owner ? Thank you.
The kit is $36k which gets you the airframe, wing, etc. Then you add engine, prop, and avionics.
So those costs will significantly impact your total build price. It is experimental so all of those costs are a fraction of what you would expect from certified aircraft. And if you find second-hand or used enginges, props, etc then you can really keep the price down. To go all brand-new will cost $75k-$100k to get wheels-up, depending on what options you decide for avionics and engine. But you can build for far less than $75k if you shop deals on the used market. I would guess the one they test-flew is in the $80k range.
@@JAlexanderCurtis Thank you very much for the information. The dream to own an airplane one day will probably come from a FAA certified aircraft such as a 4-seater Cessna or a Piper. I understand now how an experimental aircraft can go so high...price wise.
Does anyone know if there are plans out there for a scaled down STOL kit that can carry one person plus fuel (300lbs total)? Love this video and want to intern at the shop:) Cheers, D.
If you search for Badland Aircraft...you may find an option that meets this criteria. :-)
@@ExperimentalAircraftChannel Many thanks for the information. Can't wait to start the search. Love your work. I think I'll subscribe because of the quality therein. Thank you again. Cheers, D.
This is a great plane
14:00 THEY PUT WING SWEEP ON A STOL?
Amazing
Good explanation
Really enjoyed this. Nice aircraft and flying!
Ok your back!
Awesome video Bryan! I want a Super Stol now :)
Greetings,
Flies like a bird 👍👍👍.
35 MPH?
Can't fly with that speed. Min is 52 knots.
Excellent video.
Thanks all
How much for builder assist. Ball park amount
I dont know a lot, but I would love a Rans s-21 with the ROTAX
915 iS and these slats and flaps to drop the landing distance a good bit. Anyone that knows more could you tell me if this is reasonably posable to make? I am thinking of learning more and building a kit in 5 or 6 years.
Great work👍
Coooolll!
So how long does it take to get everything done at the company?
To order a kit and have it delivered from Just Aircraft I believe the lead time is just under a year at this moment but you should call them direct for a current quote. From Stol-It-Aircraft they are a Builder Assist so it is more a work at your pace situation. I believe we have links in the description for all if you would like to speak directly. Thanks for watching! :-)
Another great video, keep up the good work!!
Awesome video. Those are my favorite planes. I want to build one so bad.
NICE wr250r in the background !
Plenty of fields to go riding out there for sure! :-) Thank You for watching today!
When folding the wings do you need to do anything with the aileron cables?
Cooper Hart no, all the cables, fuel lines and electrical enter through the aft section of the wing so it just hinges.
try air pressurized up to inflated less rigid wings, should be lighter and the air pressure keeps them in form
should have metal mesh or similar main structure, however folding compacted form you wish, some frame structure like aluminium framing, somewhat loose, hinged, to the plane fuselage, then other other stuff loosely inflated-pressurized into its form, coated and hardened on the surface
не понятно, почему постоянно ручной тормоз пилот дёргает, заднее колесо же будет тормозить в воздухе?
I like it its minimal to the point build
Gotta have a STOL!
Muito legal construí muitos aeromodelo diponibiza o projeto e faço um igual.
No capstrip for rivits on the ribs?
that tailwheel locking mechanism is brilliant! Destroys the old saying that there are 2 types of tail dragger pilots - Those who have ground looped and those that will.
Beautiful plane!
It just does not get any better than that guys, I mean come on now. ( WOW )
Hah! Right?! Thank You for watching and coming back here to leave a comment. I appreciate you! Fun times here!
Now i see the slats!!!! Whoopeee
Hah this is a fantastic aircraft!!!
Great video, love it
Awesome video content! Liked & subscribed.
This would be a fantastic plane to own in South Africa. Not sure if there are any in the country.
