@angusmethane3802 . I put a 550 Pantera engine in a 3 wheeled Harley golfcart. Couldn't keep front end on ground. Sold it a few months after completion
As Steve Martin stated in one of his comic sketches ' We're a couple wild and crazy fellows!' It's awesome to see these great creative and fun projects you guys do! Great job and great entertainment! Thanks!
Missed opportunity to put a powered track in back with AWD trans. Also a suspension swingarm at the back with the trailing ski for comfort Oh well. Cool build
Do these 2, Zero cost, high impact improvements to drastically improve traction! 1. Weld the front differential to provide full time, 100% power to both tires 2. Add at least 300 kg weight on front bumper
Add dualies or even 6 drive wheels up front (3 wheels side-by-side like a truck per side) and lock the differential. Make 2 rear skids with suspension.
Build one with the motor in the back and seats and ski in front of the bumper. You could remove the fenders, weld the wheels straight and run large truck tires, add steering brakes👍
You should build yourself a removable rear wheel. Would mount up super easily into your ski mount. Would also help with transport and you could play all year.
With older Japanese cars, you need enough length to accelerate to third gear before it can climb up a hill in winter... You basically slam the gas pedal to the ground on third gear and it will continue going up even if it's just ice and no snow... Once you are about 3 quarters to the top, you slowly start to release the gas pedal or it will blow up the head gasket. Some newer and heavier European cars don't have enough momentum until 4th gear. You can really feel when accelerating on level surface as the torque kicks in.
Build it to be switchable to three-wheeler mode with a quick swap rear suspension. Also tidy up the extraneous car stuff & weather sensitive upholstery. Maybe some fiberglass racing buckets.
Guys make the Super Lada something you could take to a car show!! Go all out! Take as much time as it needs. Throw a V10 engine in it, really show off your fullest skills. Contact Lada, get them to send you guys interior materials, go next level with it! 👍👍
I remember seeing some maniacs rebuilding a Bentley into a all wheel drive and having tracks for winter use. The tracks were short enough you had one for each wheel so it retained the comfort of the Bentley. It shows that there are short tracks that could be suitable for this Mazda snowmobile. The point of that car was that their customer, a very rich man, wanted a terrain capable car, but not something as simple as a Jeep or Land Rover like the ones his friends had. No he wanted something real luxury and comfortable but still able to go off road when he went hunting. The tracks for winter was needed as he had some house way out in the wild somewhere in Scotland, and during the winter the road up to that estate was never cleared of snow. Hard to get hold of those tracks I would guess and not all that cheap so you might have to try to build them. If that is not an option then like many has said large, wide mud tires with exaggerated scoop like threads is probably the next best thing to try. Driving in snow is interesting. Wide tires are not always the best solution. My grandfather used to have an old Ford. We are talking sometime in the 1930's and it was old then. It had large wheels that were very narrow compared to what we use on cars today. But according to my father it was exceptional when driving during the winter. They lived in a small village with no more than at most 200 people, and during the winter there often were several feet of snow on the roads. the wheels on that old Ford would cut through the snow as they were so skinny and it would push through most any amount of snow on the roads. More modern cars however had more of a problem as the wider tires would not displace the snow as easily as those large skinny ones and they would slipp on the compacted snow. When looking at this Mazda snowmobile I think that wide tires with large paddle like tracks would be the best way of trying to get more traction.
This reminds me of the good top gear/Grand Tour since their departure. This Host is even reminiscent of all the hosts in one way or another, and in a good way!😘
Many years ago in high school auto tech we built a vw bug with super wide sand paddle tires on the back and skis on the front. I never got to find out how well it actually did in the snow.
Hi there guys do like a 6 × 6 But on the front not on the reer so It becomes a 4 wheel front and at the back of end only the same factory.. The all 4 wheel on the front should turn by steering wheel And you will get a 6×6. 4 front wheel punching 😊
I have a very cool experiment you should try, taking a regular engine let's say a lada engine and fitting it with big oil pump like a truck or big engine one, and see how it efact the oil pressure and the performance, that can be great video.
Now I want to see you convert a snowmobile into a Mazda.
Fun idea way more time consuming and far more challengeing.
I have heard there are rotary snowmobiles
How about a snowmobile engine 500cc in a golf cart weighing less than half a ton?
@angusmethane3802 You're thinking too small. Maybe a jet.engine from an F-16.
@angusmethane3802 . I put a 550 Pantera engine in a 3 wheeled Harley golfcart. Couldn't keep front end on ground. Sold it a few months after completion
Fun fact, if you chop the back wheels off of a FWD car, it becomes an AWD car.
What's even odder.. add a third wheel and it becomes a motorcycle
🤣🤣
What
😂
And all wheel steering. It's 2x2x2
You should use a RWD Lada and put tracks in the rear and ski's where the front wheels are. Then take on the hill.
You beat me to it. Lol
They may have, I can't remember
It would be like the "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" North Pole Mail Truck!
Paddle sand tires would've been icing on the cake .
Agriculture tires are also wicked good for snow
Was thinking the same thing
Gotta love these guys. Their imagination knows no bounds.👍👍
Brilliant! Roll cage, seat and harness, paddle tires, and put a shock absorber on the rear ski to make it more comfortable.
You need track adapters for the front and coil over's for the skee!!!!!!! Then it would be a good snowmobile!!!!!! Fun concept!!!!!!!
As Steve Martin stated in one of his comic sketches ' We're a couple wild and crazy fellows!' It's awesome to see these great creative and fun projects you guys do! Great job and great entertainment! Thanks!
I love the windshield!
Like the Lola-T !
Missed opportunity to put a powered track in back with AWD trans.
Also a suspension swingarm at the back with the trailing ski for comfort
Oh well. Cool build
So, a missed opportunity to do something 1000x more expensive and difficult
You have to love Garage 54. They give full credence to the old say. "Crazy Russians."
Do these 2, Zero cost, high impact improvements to drastically improve traction!

I was thinking duallies up front as well.
Then cut up the snowmachine's tread to cover the tires.
Or at least it needs some kind of paddle type tires.
Paddle tires or track system to improve traction
Love you guys ❤ great content as always
combine the snowmobile back half (track with motor) to the Mazda's front half. AWD Snowmobile!
С Новым Годом!
Словом Годом!! Thank you for all your great videos, and Happy New Year from the UK!
Build one with the motor in the back and seats and ski in front of the bumper. You could remove the fenders, weld the wheels straight and run large truck tires, add steering brakes👍
Bog/Mud paddle type tyres, or a mini tracktype setup up front... You'll have yourself a killer Snowmobile!!! 🤔😏🤣🤣🤣 😎🇬🇧
Now that is one hell of a snow buggy to rip around in the snow!👍👍 Fantastic!🙂👍
👌
Paddle (sand tires) or maybe put the track from snowmobile under the car and put the skis on the front hubs. 🤠
Haven't seen you and the guys have that much fun in awhile. Like a bunch of 20 year old kids. Happy new year to all of you and family's
Feliz ano novo Garagem 54 ✌🏻🕊️🌻
i think it will travel better in the snow if you weld the differential gear.
You guys are nuts
You should build yourself a removable rear wheel. Would mount up super easily into your ski mount. Would also help with transport and you could play all year.
*1 paddle tyres
*2 steering skid in a back
*3 compound steering, with wheels and skid
Very nice Fellas, now go Rally a Vibe.
That is amazing lmao. Happy New Year.
This is one "snowmobile" that will never get stolen. This could never get hidden and still ridden.

Greetings from El Salvador 🇸🇻
Hola desde Estados Unidos, feliz año nuevo.hello from US happy new year.

You guys have a lot of fun with your projects, its great to see

thank you for disregarding all safety measures . sometimes it seems i am the only one.
no ,, you are not 😉
This thing with tracks would be absolutely amazing.
fun project- maybe go for serious weight reduction, turbo, put skate on back and try on clean ice! maybe roll cage for the ice. Happy new year Vlad
im sitting here with a huge smile alone lol this is a great video.
longer spikes in the front tires, 2 ski's on the rear for rear steering too . . suspension on the ski's
You guys should have made the rear wheel assembly removable! Then just drive it to the lake and remove the rear wheel assembly. Great video. Peace!
Put a suspension on the back Ski and make it steer as well.
limited slip or locking differential would make a huge difference.
Weld the diff
Put two of those aftermarket three point Cat extensions on the front. You may have to "whittle out" the wheel well.
You guys do the best projects, I don't see anyone else who tries the crazy stuff you guys do. 👍👍 It would be nice to see Trax instead of wheels.
Studded square tires in front would make this work so much better. Hope we can see it next time. Great video as always.
Fantastic! You Crazy Guys
Many years ago in high school auto tech we built a vw bug with super wide sand paddle tires on the back and skis on the front. I never got to find out how well it actually did in the snow.
I would like to see it with a driven track at the rear, it would be unstoppable.
Need more of this with improvements
A track kit would be sweet!
I lol'ed when someone pulled the handbrake on 😀
I'm thinking you need some FAR (field and road) Traction tyres on that thing. You can certainly get them down to 12" rim size.
that looks like so much fun.
Damn I love Russia! Happy New Year Garage54 and BMI Russian have a great year!!
DOUBLE WIDE RIMS W STUDS FOR GRIP
Make your own bolt on tracks and the thing would be unstoppable, slow yes but solves traction problems
Brilliant ! 👍
A lot of us (on the other side of the camera) enjoy living vicariously through your gearhead brain storms (GBS). 2025 here we come!
This is the sled i need!!!
That looks fun!!!
...spoiler should've been in front to increase the grip on the wheels. Rear should have a wing to create the lift and decrease the friction...:P
Use a rear wheel drive Lada and build tracks under it and put skis under front end
Nice to see Vlad wearing a safety helmet.
Hi there guys do like a 6 × 6
But on the front not on the reer so It becomes a 4 wheel front and at the back of end only the same factory.. The all 4 wheel on the front should turn by steering wheel
And you will get a 6×6. 4 front wheel punching 😊
The heater works 😆
we need
Annual Snow drag race competition with car sleds!
Still waiting for the day we get English subtitles on the main channel I much prefer hearing Vlad’s own voice.
I would use the skies in the front and use the track drive in the rear!!!
You could use the welded steel track wheels on it, from the other project.
You guys should have hooked up the track to the beack of that car make it an AWD snowmobile!
What would be unique would be a motorcycle/sled combo.
Higher HP/weight ratio, although it would look mostly like a snomobile.
Absolutely love it!!😂
Weld the differential
Add tracks
Its the Davidsfarm Half-Car made from a red Pontiac 6000 with the multi port injected 2.8!!!
Now get a Mazda Rotary engine and install it on the snowmobile. You can then call it the Wankmobile
Make some tracks for the front and it will get up that hill no problem!
love the spoiler
Should have tried going backwards up the hill so the weight pushes down on the wheels as you're going up
Add tracks and is good
try converting the mazda to use the snowmobile track. Then put 2 ski in the front in place of the wheels.
The gopro on the wing is flopping everywhere 😂😂😂
I would love to see you make a cross plane inline 8 and mount it in a Lada 😁
Leaving the heater was inspired! I know strictly it wasn't removed, but hey!
Is That an itasha Subaru Impreza on the back????
That's unbelievable! wow. Now take 2 sleds, weld them next to each other and put a car body on them! LOL. Car-mobile?
You should do reverse tracks so put tracks on the front I bet that thing will climb any hill
Happy New Year!! all
"It might be a bit unsafe..." When has that ever stopped you?
Should have used tracks in the rear skis on the front
👌🤣👍Man that looks like a ton of fun!!
It needs a locking differential, or just weld the diff.
Put tracks on the front!
If the drivetrain from a snowmobile was added onto the back end, it'll have all the traction... :P
how about adding truck chains to the tiers to give them even more traction in the snow?
I have a very cool experiment you should try, taking a regular engine let's say a lada engine and fitting it with big oil pump like a truck or big engine one, and see how it efact the oil pressure and the performance, that can be great video.
