SELECT A "DATE WITHIN" THEN SELECT THE LOOK BACK DATE FROM THE LITTLE CALANDER THAT POPS UP (This will mark previous emails with your label) I believe you can only look as far back as 1 year. I was having the same issue, hope this helps🙂(Can also select options like, 'Always star email,' and 'Mark as important,' as well as a variety of other options.)

@@qida2937 If you create a filter for a label in one of the steps you have a check box in the bottom of the screen to move all existing emails fitting the rule to the label. Maybe 2dn or 3rd step.
How do we format the filter in an organisational context that we want to label multiple emails in the [From:] instead of just one? I tried putting spaces between emails but it doesnt seem to do anything. Thanks in advance
Create a filter with your needs, after pressing “Create Filter” you can configure what you want to happen to filter. Either label and archive(emails still show in label folder) or forward and delete.
Used your filter and label method to the T. unfortunately it worked on three filters and the ones that were created afterwards or not working at all. Would it be out of the question to ask for some advice?
when i create a filter to label a sender, my existing opened emails don't get labelled, are they meant to or is it just new/unopened emails that will get labelled?
I have labels that even when I hit the plus arrow do not show. Currently I am trying to update what use to be called group lists but now labels in gmail and I can't scroll down as far as I need to. Therefore I can't add the names into the labels. When I close everything out I can see them it is just the scrolling part that is stopping this. Even when I got to the manage labels on the right of my contact list it does not let me scroll down to the end of the labels. Currently it will not go past the "Q" and even though I have labels made in R, S, T, U, V, W there is no way that I can get to see them.
I followed this video but the emails I have marked with a certain labels with their corresponding colour do not show up as such in my inbox. Or is it only for future received mails (which does not help me with all the emails I currently have).
How can your organize your email when it is a group email. I get many emails from a group that I'm in but it's hard for me to find the newest email from the group.
What I really want is stop seeing those e-mails I tagged (as if I moved them to a new folder, like in all the other (normal) regular e-mail clients)....

Yes you can. During creating the label for example GMAIL ask you if want move existing emails to this label.

Putting comma in between emails seems set the condition as (emails from from A AND B), instead of emails from A OR B)
This does not help. I still have hundreds of emails in my inbox and I want to see them moved to a Folder. This does not suit me at all.
