What the hell?! I've been using labels 1 year and had no idea that the colour could be changed! 🤣 I'm also a 'visual' so this is way more helpful than non-visual people realise

What good teacher you are, kudos! I'm an old-time executive finally attempting to organize and streamline my Gmail. Question? When a person/subject is assigned to a label, does it automatically go into that label when received? Please don't tell me I have to do it manually?! Lol Sorry, old-guy confusion is setting in! That was great. Can I move multiple labels into one new label? I'm able to move them one at a time using edit but it's time consuming because it involves multiple selections and locating the target label by scrolling. is it possible to move multiple files all at once? Thanks!

Hi Tasia, thank you for your helpful tips! How do I access my labels (email distribution list) in gmail from my android phone? I can access no problem in regular gmail (desktop) by typing in the first letter of the label and the label appears in the action address window. But when I do the same on my android phone, the label does not appear so I have to manually input each individual contact address, very time consuming... Regards, Bill

i have saved emails in various labels and when I opened them today they were all missing ..... what happened and can I retrieve these messages
Pro tip for everyone that she didn't mention. Make sure you click "Also apply filter to matching conversations" when you make the filter so that it automatically labels any old or new emails from a chase robot or google robot for example. Also I'm not sure if it matters, but I added them to my contacts list just to be safe lol

I have a question about gmail. I'm very new to it and on the bar on the left hand side I have all the icons for inbox etc, but there is no text at all. And another issue is that I've created labels and they aren't showing, yet I've gone into settings and they are set as shown, so I'm struggling to find items I've put under certain labels. It's driving me nuts. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you for your help.
I like using emojis in the labels. In Windows 10, the hotkey is Windows + "." 😀

Didn't touch on what I am trying to do.
I have set-up labels for group contact for emails. Unfortunately I cannot find where to find all the labels. When I hit the label icon currently it does not show all the labels I have. If I go into Compose and type the label name it will bring it up. Unfortunately this does not let me edit the names in the mail list.
I can't even find where to do a search to find the labels. When I try a search it just tells me there is no mail associated with that label.

I think you can just add or remove labels to an email. I know on iPhone gmail app you can actually create, but I don’t think it’s the same for an Android table. If anyone knows, drop a comment!
I need help, my email (conversation) disappears once I put it on a label. It lasts about 30 days, and all my label conversations are deleted. What is wrong???

Deleting out of one folder deletes it out of all folders, How do you stop this from happening?
Outlook is so much better with organization. Gmail won't even filter emails from inbox, they just organize them through labels, but you still have read through all the emails in the inbox; such a garbage design. I don't need it in my label folder and inbox folder.
I do not want a 'label' I want a 'folder' ..... I want to be able to create a 'folder' , then select certain emails and place them into a 'folder' ..... How do I do that?
It's the same thing. Labels act as folders.
wow, it was this easy huh? I spent like 40 mins trying to figure out where to even add a label. Jesus Christ lol.
This is really cool. I just found this and am glad I did, my inbox is loaded with mail, and some of the folders are loaded with emails..... using this is going to take some time to use, create ongoing and organize, but will really help me...... I'm an ADHDer . Thank you Tasia for making this video.
