I belong to an AARP group called SCSEP. We watch a variety of videos daily (if we choose to log in) and get some pocket change for doing so. Most of the videos are about writing a resume, feeling good about yourself, etc..... They showed this video today and it was the most useful one to date, for me. I have a background with computers (school, personal, work) but this tutorial on Gmail tips was fantastic !!! I appreciate the basics on utilizing a system or email account. I'm over the top with BIOS, removing viruses, etc. I had to know certain things in the past for job related work but I'm not really interested in those type things anymore. Thanks for sharing some 'rabbit out of the hat' tricks!!! Best to you!!
I operate on the keep your Inbox empty, I can’t recommend it enough to keep your life simple. On receiving an email, I will either reply immediately, or delete it, if it is worthwhile keeping I’ll drag it to one of several appropriately named folders (like “Home”, “Social”, “Work”), if I want to reply to it later, then I’ll drag into 1 of 3 folders nested under a “Status” folder: “Action” (it has to be dealt with soon), or “Some Day” (it can wait), or “Waiting On” (so it is easy to give reminders to people who have omitted to respond).
Very helpful! One tip that I use frequently is to search for is:unread to just show unread emails. I'm surprised there isn't a simple button to click like there is in Outlook. You did cover how you can show unread emails first but is:unread shows just unread emails.
Kevin, you're the man! You're my go to now when I need help. I started with a company that uses only Google products and my ass feels stupid. Your videos have helped a great deal. Thanks!
Well done. I volunteer to teach Google tools to library patrons in my town. I like some of these that I don't use often, so thank you for showing me again.
Very helpful and well done video. I had given up on gmail allowing you to schedule when to send a message. Plus, I didn’t (and couldn’t) use a 3rd party app at my workplace. I like to delay send a message for the opposite reason that you supplied in your email. I didn’t want people to think I was working all night -we had far too many of those types of people in the office already and I didn’t want to add to people’s stress levels. Thanks for sharing this!
Good job Kevin. I have a question for you: I need to know how to send an email as important (urgent) with Gmail the same that can be done with Microsoft. I do not see how it can be done anywhere. Thanks
Thank You so much Kevin bro!!! I really don't know 90% of all these tips,,, you really gave a good information,,,, but I am not able to understand the 4th tip
So happy I encountered your videos. Were supposed to do an orientation om new tips and tricks on useful office sites and apps and your video is a big help
@5:49 inserting a period in your email address is also a good way to track an email. Say you suspect a sender to be supplying your email address to other 3rd parties. This can be verified when you get an unexpected email using the custom email address (with a a period) and not from the person you sent it to.
Befor i watch the video It been showing up in my feed for year and rvery time i goes like : o who need to watch video about gmail - after i watched it : o cool gmail have all these things 😍 Cool work bro 😘
Actually gmail and google drive shares space. So if I have save it in drive it uses the same amount of space. The advantage is the easiness to access it and elaborate the document

Kevin this is awesome! you making gmail easier to set up your own options. Question: I usually save some of your tips&tricks, but i don't see the ability to save this one; am i missing something or is it posted with this option (save) blocked?
I think it's being retired soon though.. stopped using it 2 years ago so not sure a lot of people would still want to use it. MS SQL should be a better alternative. Besides, Access isn't optimised for collaboration and most programs now, especially with O365 can be integrated.
Some useful tips, thank you. may I suggest a tutorial on how to add a link and a banner/gif to a signature. (I am sure you appreciate this is a little tricky!) but well worth the tutorial! Thankx.
These are great. I will plead ignorance here. While I'm trying to wrap my head about Tip #4 (5:03 Customize your address with . or +), what is the purpose of this anyway? Thanks.
Great tips! Thanks. I cannot discover how to mark multiple messages to delete them all at once. Do you know how? I also am not finding where I can sign out of Gmail. Thanks, Greg
