I'm a Chevy guy through and through, but old Ford's aren't too bad. Once they started putting in all the electrdodigicals, they went down hill.

YEE YEEEE! Im also a chevy guy and my goal with my 94 k1500 ratrod is to eventually be down to a 3 wire system lol or as close as I can and still keep the tbi because its so much more reliable then a carb if yr truck sits alot 100 like mine! but if its a daily Id go 4 barrel 650 cfm :D
She is starting to really come around. I love those Ford straight 6 engines. Got one in my Mustang. Very reliable and good low end torque.

I love the old gun rack in the back window. Growing up in rural Pennsylvania in the 60's & 70's, I'd say that most pick-ups had a gun rack in them.

Yes up hear to also in Ontario and Canada to SH and even when accident called out my mobile plus base setups to help out also (dead air) that get! I live near Trans Canada it 3 miles south of my home 10-20 location plus get lots miles in both setups and plus my home road is a Emergency Detour Route ! Plus my radios are Tech approved too and setups in CB and Ham radios!
CB was dying in the late 80's, and when cell phones became cheap, it was pretty much dead. You can still find some traffic if you're by a major interstate, but it's not like it used to be.
@@jballew2239 agree and so wild one radio station company in Ontario Canada it give traffic reports ever 10 to 15 mins by hour also does whole province and help out drivers like CB radio and Cellphone plus computer does ! It sure helpfull too and it does!
I love the 64! Right up my alley. The bluetooth shock adds 5 hp, easy,, and the tailgate delete gives it that streamline aerodynamical appearance. To top it off, air conditioned seat... no swamp butt in the summer..

Well Old Lucy is living well with her next owner after Puddin' it would seem. I couldn't believe it when I saw it roll up to a car show down here in Texas. I thought it was just a similar truck until I got up close and saw the "Keep Beef King" stickers, dual roof antennas and CB radio inside. She's got factory steel wheels and hubcaps all redone and put on her now. Although the 223 inline 6 is gone for a V8 Ford. I don't know if that was just preference or the 223 died. Altogether it's weird to see a truck featured like this in a video, then to randomly see it a full year later in person.
When you opened that first mysterious package your expression and poise about it was worth a million bucks. You get a gold 🌟 for putting a shit eaten grin on my face.

Great video and a great channel! That rod you found in the back of the truck is a sucker rod from a oil well pump, folks also use it on fences. I have a 66 ford f250 i'm working on currently.

Grew up with a 63, but it was a 1 ton with a 9 foot box. We ran it till the kingpins got so bad we couldn't keep tires on her, and then retired her because the body was about to fall off the frame(WI)
Pumpkin was enormous on that thing, same straight 6, manual. topped out at 50 in the wind and 55 with the wind. It would move loads that weighed in excess of 10 tons, but you couldn't go past second gear then. First gear at idle you could walk about twice as fast as the truck moved.
The truck was comfy. The distance for arm-to-window ratio was perfect, as was the height of said window. I learned to drive it when I was 10.

the last 65 Chevy truck I had. 1 gallon of Shiny Gloss Exterior house paint with that 20 year warranty n a fine wide brush. Painted mine Nutbutter Yellow. 1 of it's original colors. It lasted many years. Cost of paint job, $20.

In 1983 I bought a well worn 1964 Ford pickup that had belonged to a mechanic named Stubby who had passed away. He genuinely did not have fingers, but learned how to deal with it and made a living! Same color and style. The body was much better, but had become a flat bed. She was a little rough, but after some TLC and good detailing I made a couple hundred dollars when I had to sell her when my work took me back on the road.
RIP to stubby. Love his attitude and don’t even know him
Nice truck... should wire wheel the inside of the roof and hit the holes with seam sealer... From inside the cab so you don't mess up that nice patina..
