This needs to be the ford muscle truck, but with a turbo LS engine.
IDK they made it to the tire shop cant tell build qulity based on that maybe it went another ten feet and died completely well never know becuase the show gets cut off what a shame

I am a swede with 35 years experience from american cars, love all your programs, i can relate to all , we have alot of amercan cars from 30 and up, we have access to parts or hand made.

Its not the fox body based mercury capri since that's what most Americans are familiar with. Its the mk1 european version. They are cheap in your country when they come up for sale..lots of parts needed

Ha!... That was one of my favorite Hotwheels too and I actually rediscovered mine a couple months ago! I have to give my mom credit for so nicely packing up my toys and storing em for me for the past twenty-five ish years.

Hate those "barn find, parked 30 years, will it run?" channels, for precisely that reason. They do more damage trying to hotwire the car than all the years parked ever did...

Long ago, I had a 54 Ford with the 239 OHV engine, the first Y block. It clearly had a long history of lack of oil to the top end cylinder heads. Glad you got it running.

I’m not going to lie really saddens me I’ve watched you guys since the first episode of roadkill and it just sucks seeing my idols getting older.
I just don’t understand how someone can own a vehicle as cool as this and let it sit still for over forty years without driving it.

My dad used to have a '56 Ford pickup in the early '80s. He did a frame-off restoration. It had a 390 Ford V8 with high-domed pistons, a C6 transmission, and no power steering. I don't know how much power it made, but it was enough to break the rear leafsprings.
I like watching all the old stuff, but seeing new or never seen episodes on RUclips is awesome👌🏼

Wow! Brings back memories of my 54 I had. Was my parents, handed down to me after they passed. Had big hopes for it, it sat for 20 years outside, was in decent shape, except for the bed wood! Lost it in a wild fire! Was torn up to see what was left of it!

Ford ignition switch has 2 hot leads to the coil. One while key is in cranking position and one for run position. They often burn out the run side. I bypassed mine by tying the two hot wires coming out of the ignition switch together.
That truck needs to be Chrome Yellow like God intended.

I always called it the WHY block because the intake holes are on top of one another instead of side by side. Creating an inherent flow rate issue.
By the way, Dave, the oil bath air filter, percolate the air in coming to the carburetor through the oil and the oil traps some of the dirt

Back in the day, my dad told me you could fill a crankcase with kerosene and run the engine to break loose sludge and muck. Never had the ba-s to try it.
Yup works we did that on Chevy c30. Swuarebody oil junked up soaked over nite. Drained oil change filters ran like top
