Ugh that game list... those games are the reason I got rid of my Mortal Kombat 30th.. but that control deck I find very interesting! With those led buttons, almost looks like a MAME cab, Just wish the game list was better
@@kevinpalardy8592 yeah I wish they did obviously silver strike golden tee or golden tee and Atari games something with more trackballs games making it have better controls.
well i just bought one at costco the other day and i just got done assembling it and when i went to put the knobs on the joy sticks and i noticed that the left joystick threaded top is smaller in diameter than the right joystick threaded top so both of the knobs are to big to thread on to the left joystick but both knobs thread onto the right joystick no problem. really bummed out and having problem right outta the box for 600 bucks.
@TheCornerCade I did and they sent me a new joystick, just arrived today. But its an enclosed unit where the track ball joy, sticks, and buttons are all enclosed so I have to tear it all apart to install the new joystick. Would I rather they send me a new enclosed unit But I guess it it beats a kick in the ass. Crappy thing is spending $600. And all this trouble right out of the box.
In fairness, the 49 way joystick would benefit one game. And that game can be played with a standard joystick, just not well. It's certainly true some of the control schemes are less than ideal, but at the end of the day this is the cabinet for super casual users who I really think won't care (other than perhaps for Paperboy).
@@scottboehmer1975 100 precent! Just the thing is that those super casual people who are buying this may not find this fun because they wouldn’t be able to play the games properly. Been waiting for a golden tee, this seems to be the one for me. XL. nice screen. bonus a few other games just for fun. For me, it's all about the GT. Stoked.
As an apartment dweller I only have room for one cabinet. No matter what cab I buy it's eventually going to end up with a conversion kit. I wish THIS cabinet had 6 buttons... An XL with 6 buttons and a trackball would be a great single cab, and I'd prob rip out player 2 for a spinner. But for people like me our options are limited without major modifications to a standard cabinet, or buying those ridiculous 32in monitor 4 player monstrosities.
Maybe at $299 😂 seriously dude you could barely make it for that 😭 Fair play tho. Possibly first “review” not off the JPEG image , at least you had it in hand 😜

Overall not a bad cabinet. But for 599.99 it’s a pass for me. I wish they could have tried harder on the side Art. And also watching gameplay on the second player side looks a little awkward. Not enough space. Man wish this could have been Ms Pac-Man XL or even MK XL.
Alot to take in visually. Agreed game selection could have been better. Art is a bit bland. Not a fan of all the game titles on the sides. Reminds me of the first gens. Yes, more artwork should have been focused on the characters of the game titles. The control deck gives me NFL Blitz vibes. On thing I noticed that I didn't take note of previously is all those switches for volume & on/off are on the player 2 side. Why? That kinda forces you to play on player 2 side especially if you're playing solo. Why not put those switches in the middle?? Lastly, The positioning of player 2 is not good. Why in Gods green earth can't we get YTers to play Gorf or Defender on this cab to see how it runs. We know golden tee works because it's a g.t. cabinet. You had one thing to do and you failed!!
@@TheCornerCade It's all about what you like 👍 Gorf is great for those of us who grew up with it and that's a huge letdown on Defender. I will stick with my partycade.
There was only one Arcade One Up cabinet (i think table top or wall mount version) that actually had the Defender button layout the way it was supposed to be, offered on QVC or something, but it's been sold out for a while now. If only that was re-released. Would be a MONEY maker for them for sure.
@@02xtera There appears to be a high demand for it and I think it would do well. I have one and got it from QVC or HSN about 2 years ago. Much better quality than it’s competitor.
Still the best golden tee cab they've put out so far.
So can you not use the joystick for games like paperboy and joust root beer tapper etc... like does it force you to use the trackball?

Doesn't get much better for a simple GT cabinet, those usually go for $1K+, Midway games are just gravy.
