    I already watched a month or so ago and rewatched today to remind myself of the details! Thank you for such a detailed explanation! Excellent video! One thing that watching RUclips videos about crafting has taught me is that crafters are generally good people no matter where in the world we are! Let’s start a crafter’s country and everyone would love each other…wouldn’t that be nice?! Just a sweet dream. So glad to get to “know” some people around the world who are sweet and kind!! Good Luck you to you! 💕

    • @Saacibo
      @Saacibo  Год назад +1

      Oh, what a lovely comment Donna! I agree, crafter's country sounds awesome, I would move there right away. I'm also amazed how many lovely people are crafters from all over the world and I feel so lucky to get to know some of them, including yourself. Sometimes I feel that my channel and the videos I make are like a window into the world. Thank you so much for watching and for this wonderful comment 😊❤️

    When I learned book craft, I learned a corner fold that did not trim the corner. You simply bend the paper/cloth over the corner at a right angle - top, bottom then sides. I like the look of that corner much better and its so much easier than fussing with that tiny bit at the corner. I never see others use it though

    • @Saacibo
      @Saacibo  3 месяца назад

      I usually do the corner fold without the trim when I use thinner materials or paper. Thick upholstery fabrics that I like to use sometimes create a lot of bulk so I prefer to cut it off.
      You’re right, no trim corners are much easier to do and they look neat. Do you also round them before folding fabric over?

    Great revival of old bookbinding technique. The middle school I attended had a print shop from the late 1920s. Awesome. I had lots of sampel books that were gifted to me back in 2000. I worked so hard getting the glued papers on each piece. I got them wet and then scraped the paper and glue off of them wiith a butter knife. It was not easy. Now seeing your steamiron method, I'm astounded at how easy that is. Thank you so much for showing this. method.
    Wish I'd seen this last week as I cut the glued paper off when making bags for my rice heating pads. Lol
    I liked this so much that I saved it to my faviorites !!

    I recommend that everyone follows your instructions very carefully because I found out the hard way that if you glue the connecting papers incorrectly then the book will not fully open. That may be why you only put a thin line of glue on the inside of the paper that is glued to the inside of the cover (between that page and the book block ( the pages.) I will try again! I was able to fix it but it wasn’t as good as if I had done it correctly the first time. Thank you!

    I really enjoyed this video. These days, I have to speed up most videos because my attention won’t stay on the video otherwise. But I watched this video at regular speed because it was informative and moved at a good pace, and each step was shown and explained thoroughly. New subscriber! 😊
