I could watch this instead of a movie. Something so natural about stick fighting.

Paul, thanks for another one of your excellent and informative videos. As so many people on You Tube are instructing people in fake martial arts it is really wonderful to have you and The Kali Center. I really enjoy practicing Kali and how you are able to integrate the didactical teachings of Kali as you parallel those teachings with the clinical aspect thru " Drills / Hand to Hand Combat / Weapons Training " in a real time scenario of workouts that you instill in me. Paul, please keep them coming along.

Hey Paul, I've been watching you for at least 2 years now. I don't always have time for every vid, or to always comment, but you've been doing an amazing job of sharing your craft and continuing to grow. So to that end I have finally gotten around to subscribing to become a RUclips member to support the channel that I feel deserves it the most and has deserved it for a long time! Keep up the great work. I will continue to watch from the shadows, and will try to poke my head in and participate with comments when I can. Thank you so much for all your hard work. You really did grow this out of passion and dedication, and it shows.

Thank you for this single stick practice upload. Very fluid movement close to pencak silat of Indonesian style. And btw, just bought your full videos and will be making time to practice every morning. ✌👍and hopefully can help reduce my low back pains.

I did this in the forest today. I was using both sticks in the KC set I purchased. I'll clear webs as I traverse to my primary hangout and back, but then Im using one stick and my cane in tandem. Sometimes I get incredible flows with power form and balance and even some speed. Eventually I lose control if I go too hard. Gotta make it out the chair at least. I got recovery move I do though which is powerful, and puts me back in the game for real instantly. Really digging this. Got so many ideas. I'm disabled some and all kinds permanent painful old injuries, yet I vot this going on for real, and its gotten me into better shape. Double sticks is enjoyable too. Dig getting into flow

I've been doing Fillipino arts since about 2001. I have trained with Chris Petrilli, James Keating, James Howell (Inosanto student), and John Holt (Inosanto Full instructor) . The Inosanto students showed me some cool stuff that some of the other practitioners don't really do or teach. These techniques were the Kilat and the Kawayan. I was wondering if you had any material on these particular stick techniques. They are pretty cool and flashy. Not sure how effective in a real situation or sparring. The Kawayan was done off the backhand posture and also off of an abanikio.

What does the leg lifting Footwork do? I notice sometimes you slide your feet, pop them, cross steps, can you describe the Footwork base in more verbal detail?

Nice Paul, but how does the "H" or any of the weapon strikes translate into empty hand strikes within the art? Do you have video on this?

@@Robert77-w6i I've definitely seen it written as all of the above at one point or another, but the pronunciation is always the same:
Ka-Ren-Za with an "e", and not "Ka-Ran-Za" with the "a"
