I agree , the previous generation model still looks good and is worth considering for anyone interested in a C-Class.
To start with I'd like to say that Mercedes Benz is an extreme personal favourite car brand for me. Then the C Class is my favourite model in the entire Mercedes Benz lineup. Now I really like the new C Class (obviously) but the W205 has a special place in my heart so I'd take it (though as an AMG Line). The new C Class also has my heart cause the TV sized infotainment system has my heart + there's also the fact that it has rear wheel steering and all round technology for days. This car has cameras for cameras. I'm a sucker for Mercedes Benz technology😂🔥

I've decided to keep my 2016 C250d AMG. The new C class Mercs are ridiculously priced on top of that they have plastic leather. More money for real leather eish. All new cars with screens everywhere are just like cellphones way overpriced with a short life span when shiny bits start falling off
I dont like the new c, i was in one as a passenger with 8000 km on the clocks and both screens were rattling.
The exterior of d new one is disappointing especially wen u c it in flesh & it doesn't sell much but d precious generation is perfect, quality is there. The New one on gravel road mmmm no quality
They are already down to bo ma R740k. Buy the old one, wait-nyana boma 2-3 years and then get this new one in 2025-26

True in deed, cars are really expensive. For me the older 2019 Merc is still good but, I would go for a C200 with AMG kit, at least it's a bit affordable as compared to the new one.
The C200 with the AMG kit would be an excellent choice Moffat , especially with that panaromic sunroof…
By the previous generation not a fan of the huge tablet screen

I have to win the lottery to buy the new one, but the older model looks good. To me, it doesn't make sense to buy a used car for that amount, I rather look around I am sure with the other brands I can get myself a brand-new car.

I’d get myself a 2018 Lexus IS200t/IS350. Lexus as a Toyota brand I won’t worry about reliability issues.

Most options that you would pay for German cars comes standard on Lexuses.
To be honest I haven’t had a look at any Lexus models yet but since you’ve raised the point il start checking them out to see how they compare in terms of pricing and features.
In this class people don't care about reliability. They want style and to be wowed. That's what's wrong with lexus. Doesn't have a wow factor. Boring engines, lack of customization

At the time of this you could have gotten a Brand new Corolla XR sedan for the same money as the used Mercedes-Benz
As someone who likes to judge things more on Facts, Feature and Performance first, and status last, I cant make an argument for these cars (unless its really the car that you want) when options that cost less money exists that are just as good, but not carry the status of the German rivals.
But to answer your question, two cars is better than one.
