Only people who don't know cars will think Mercedes has great built quality. BMW has a way better fit and finish compared to Mercedes but some people are not ready for that convo

I’m Beamer fan, and if I were to buy a C Class, I’d buy a 2018 - 2020 used one because that’s the last of the C Class that actually has great built in quality and strong engines. I’m still shocked and appalled by the lack of quality in the interior you just displayed! 😮
That C Class isn't great either. Most have cracking cerntre armrests and the centre console is flimsy.
@@SDav21 normal wear and tear but i get your point. I find them a bit more solid than this one but overall, Mercedes has been sneaking in low quality material into their interiors in the last few years. Taking advantage of South Africa's brand snobs.
@@lesediseemela9856 No not even. These are 3 year old C Classes with cracking armrests. It's not wear and tear. It shouldn't be cracking if the quality was good. My dad's 20 year old 2004 C220 cdi doesn't have a cracking armrest and it has 330,000 kms on! And it doesn't rattle. They don't make them like those anymore.

I think the issue is Alcantara instead of Leather. Benz loves Alcantara which may be the reason why armrests easily crack.

The downside of every Mercedes is the interior build quality, you are so spot on, bought the previous c-class of this model and after 9 months of ownership, i sold it and kept my BMW with solid interior build quality, Mercedes is no match to BMWs interior build quality!!
Very true. And it used to be the other way around. But since the early 2010s to now, Mercedes has dropped the ball.
Sunroof is non negotiable hle especially vent/tilt mode 🤧Even if you don't use it, it just makes the car more luxurious and better looking
Best review mfanakithi. Siyabonga. I have a 2018 c200 model that has kept on delivering the goods for me on the performance. Inqondo (sunroof) is a non negotiable bakithi. Its high milage now but its always ready and willing.

I honestly think performance wise ,the BMW G20 is stil the best deal ,actually even financial wise ,I got my mzansi limited editionG20 a year ago and that car is still intact and will make you happy on the road trust me ,that thing handles corners like a sport bike😂😂

Hi Muzi I always come here to get some advice your opinion was helpful 3 years ago when I bought my Audi, please advise here. My Audi A3 35 TFSI maintenance plan has expired. So, I’m considering trading it in for a BMW G20. I’d be very happy to get a 330i, but what I'm seeing in the market are 235i xDrive models, both second hand. They only have a 20k to 30k difference, and in most cases, the 235i has lower mileage and is just slightly more expensive. Can you recommend between the two with a budget of 700k?

Build quality on Benz has become so bad that the asking price doesn't make sense anymore. It's just the brand name now. BMW has fantastic build quality.

Totally agree. I had a GLB for a week while my 2014 E350 was getting fixed. That GLB was 1.2 million. My friends bought a Chery Tiggo 8. The Chery has a better and more solid interior at half the price. I was so disgusted by the GLB.
@@SDav21 Lol, bro. It’s so sad. I saw another video, a whole GLS had panel gaps that were not the same size and the lines were not even aligning. There was a very visible mismatch of alignments. They are cutting corners in all the wrong places.

Nah I was like 😮 when heard the noice those things make in the Interior thank God no bmw does that solid built quality on all there models
That's true about sunroofs though. I've got one on my 2018 Opel Corsa sport and keep the shade closed on hot days, otherwise I get burnt. They're great for days where we have cool weather though. I've seen guys driving on highways, in 32+ degrees weather, and just shake my head 😂
Sunroofs are good for people who need that extra ventilation without having to open the windows while at high speed. It also for people with sweat issues/skin that is sensitive to hot temperatures. Otherwise, it is more of a novelty than a necessity for most motorists.

On the back armrest, press that part again partially in (not all the way) and cupholders come out. That slot is for phones apparently but it's thin and useless for most phones with a cover. I feel this C Class was designed and built my interns or something because eish.

It's bad. The window switches feel cheap. Some buttons are clicky, some are mushy, all very inconsistent.
