Finally Muzi you reviewed a car that most people should be driving. This is a great car to drive, fuel efficient and even if out of warranty, they're easy to get them fixed.
You're right. The Polo Sedan doesn't really get stolen that much, they consider them boring cars. I'd actually get the Polo Sedan trendline (2020 to 2022) they've a mileage of around 20 000 km and change the radio. I applaud that lady for buying her car cash. She's living stress free.
I currently own the Same car, 2019, 1.4 litre engine. Excellent fuel economy, zero issues so far, I service the car regularly, aircon icecold, all electric windows still working. Milaege is 190k...use the car as Uber. Most of my Uber friends have the same car and we have no issues.
The price is ridiculous but this car’s exterior design and reliability is unmatched, for a car that was 1st released about 10yrs ago it still looks great
My 2019 R line polo had an aircon condenser issue when it was new. Mine got hit by a rock (I think it’s one of the trucks because the roads I use have many trucks) and it punctured the metal. The dealer tried to charge me 6.5k and I refused that ridiculous amount (and I was angry because they told me things that are damaged by road conditions are not covered under warranty). I fixed it for half the price by buying a new one at Goldwagen and fixing it at an RMI approved garage. It’s been working ever since. I’m sitting on 125k km’s now.
No hate or defending VW ..but if your aircon condensor or radiator got hit by a stone or rock and is now leaking..you can not blame or be angry at VW for a rock demaging your condensor...its the same like complaining about an airbag light being on but your vehicke was in an accident...If the part itself failed, then its understandble but if accident damage or outside inteference happened.Warranty wil not cover..so far,for me..They have coveted every failure under warranty.
@@StormFlank6 I agree with everything that you're saying. I saw it more of a poor design issue because it's not like I'm in control of rocks coming at my car and I know the condenser is usually placed right in front of the radiator.
I'm driving this car but not to brag mine is in excellent condition, im on 155k kms, evrything functions pretty well, mine has a bigger screen no CDs, xenon lights etc... but it's a good car no regrets
My dad owns a vw amarok and it's over 500 000km now but the car still looks good and drives like it's still new, i guess mileage doesn't really matters at all
I am a bolt and takealot driver... I was actually shopping around for a polo sedan couldn't get one with the milage I wanted and under R200k.. I won't lie, that car is the best. I only work with polos...
As an ex VW Polo guy. I moved to a 2021 Toyota, no regrets whatsoever. So for R200k ain't no way I am spending it on a 2018-2019 VW Polo or any VW as a matter of fact.
Agreed, its more spacious, reliable and in this the 1.8 Quest is more powerful. Not to mention Corollas generrally hold their value more than the Polo.
Well Muzi, the only major Sedan you have left to cover is the Suzuki Dzire which you may have to approach differently as that little sedan is actually fun to drive in manual mode. On this, its a car, it gets you from point A to B, its about as noticeable , exciting and enticing as fresh out the box tofu with a side of sour cream. It exists.
@@bonketshwane98 the price is one barrier but I can tell you Accords dont age well inside and out, especially the ones with the big chrome grilles, those things peel off after a few years. But fine, for the thought experiment.
@@bonketshwane98 Swifts are reliable and actually fun to drive little hatches. Ive seen more of these used in good working order than the Polos. Other day I was in a parking lot with a lady next to me that drove one, she couldnt get it started, tried to help her but I couldnt get it started either. The problem it turns out was the key fob(not the battery in it) and the ignition failing at the same time as stated by a former VW technician who saved her the bomb VW was going to charge her to fix it. I havent seen Swifts with those kind of problems even after 8 years.
@@mindfreeze0838 A Dzire is a Swfit.. I'm saying he must do a review of an Accord, that's one Sedan we are not familiar with. or even a Tippo. A Dzire is just a Swift with a Booth, no need for a review of something we already familiar with
04:02 she needs to check her insurance documents because, many times even if you don’t want your insurer to fix you car… you are contractually bound to report the claim to them. That entails logging the claim and then withdrawing it.

Since her polo saden is a daily use I would advise her to do her oil service twice a year or every 10 00km which comes first, don't forget to use quality parts from VW OR goldwagen. My 2010 Polo 1.4 Comfortline is on 320 000 km. The aircorn is not working, I once took it to a Aircon place in Randburg and they said i need aircorn pump worth R4K, i left and went to some guy on the street at Pretoria who fixed it for R400, it worked for about 8 months. I cant find that guy now...
hawzut bro may you plz do riview on Suzuki ertiga vs Toyota rumion vs/ Renult Triber next time, besically i wanna know the best 7seater based on your opinion
Solid stuff as always my Guy. I am actually considering getting a low mileage sedan for my first car and I have shortlisted the Nissan Almera, Toyota Corolla and the Fiat Tipo Hatch. Please review the Tipo next. I don’t know much about the brand but the car looks great.
Fiat cars are ridiculously small, even their SUV's. Had the displeasure of being in one, they look big on the outside but are laughably small on the inside(the opposite of Suzuki's for reference)if your over 5'8" you will struggle. Even the boot is just ridiculously small, checked luggage or strollers are a no go. I would suggest you add the Ciaz to your list. They are hardy sedans that dont fall apart due to age and run pretty well. Plus the boot is big though the seats dont fold.
I have a 2007 Polo Trendline 1.4 Classic. Very low mileage (104k km) but it's been a champ. Dashboard has cracks now (common), door locks have been replaced, headliner is starting to save and it just had a clutch change together with some pipes that had become cracked after 16 years. The only other strange issue is the cubby hole door, the soft touch plastic became sticky but the rest of the soft touch is still fine. I think the best part is just that parts are cheap now that I don't have to deal with VW. 😂
My mom has the exact car and all i can say is that what a reliable car kodwa the break light bulbs? Weak i have seen 5 different polo sedans wiyh 1 break light working kanti at home we have the same issue

My windows weren’t working, my wipes wouldn’t stop wiping even when the key was out lol. My aircon also didn’t work. Iv had my car since 2015. It’s a 2014 polo tsi hatch back. The issues only started this year though sooooo yah hey. I spent R2200 to fix it all actually 🌚.. and 10k to service it mxm.

My 1 year old vivo is going for aircon repair this coming Monday (13 November), and it would be the 3rd visit in 2023 for the same issue.
Are the repairs covered by the warranty?
@@MuziSambo So far, yes.
