  • Binge eating during the holidays is discouraging and depressing. Words of encouragement can help. Be sure to listen to the end of the poem.
Christmas time is supposed to be joyful but can be a stressful time for people who have eating disorders because of the increased interaction with family and the large quantities of food that seem to be everywhere. This poem will, hopefully, provide you with hope if you are struggling this year.
The poem is an adaptation of The Night Before Christmas, a poem first published anonymously in 1823 and later attributed to Clement Clarke Moore, who claimed authorship in 1837.
The author of The Binge Before Christmas is Kim Lampson, PhD.
