is notable, he is using 70% or 80% of total power, if you know both cars you know very well that the f50 is still slower than always was when released. these modern videos are like brainwash and people are forgetting the real results

@@ege5804 I don't think the costs are a big deal. Where did the race take place? At the airport in St. Moritz? Anyone who owns such cars and takes them to the race (or even flies them in?) doesn't care about the few thousand dollars. Otherwise, these vehicles would only be moved for maintenance and upkeep. They then sit around in some bonded warehouse.
The 90s were the pinnacle of super cars.

Why is every comment section on supercar drag racing videos filled with “this guy can’t drive” or “those guys can’t drive their cars properly.” You obviously don’t understand how difficult cars like these can be to drive, and the costs that go into maintaining them. The owners won’t want to launch their cars as quickly as possible, and rightfully so. They don’t want to burn the clutch!
The Diablo kept starting early, on every race.

He's trying to keep from burning up his clutch with a "hard drop". Drag racing is especially hard on supercar clutches (pretty much all car clutches actually 😁). By slow rolling the start, he's taking a lot of the strain off of his drivetrain, especially the clutch.
I realize this is cheating in drag racing, bit when you have to spend $50k for an "engine out service" like a clutch, you tend to pamper your cars a little bit 😆.
And he lost every time
He also needs to learn how to shift.

If you offered to buy them new clutches that cost thousands of dollars to buy and change. They’d launch the cars as hard you want.

Matias Palmisano that’s easy to say when you’re not the one paying for them. Just because you’ve got the money doesn’t mean you should risk damaging something that you worked hard to buy and that you love. You rarely see supercars being launched hard and that’s for good reason.
@@aproductofboredom Ok, anyway it`s a very hard discussion because there are lot of reasons for buying a car like this one. You can buy it for pleasure, 4 racing or whatever you want, but if the clutch breaks, you can easily afford it. You know that you are buy a car of 250K, so a clutche could be 15K 20K ? maybe? I dont know... he may spend 15k on a dinner JAJAJA he also worked hard to spend 20K on a dinner. ;)
