I don’t know, man, still waiting for the Mat vs. Yanni foot drag race
@@ioioccc this is a must
12.2 in the old Viper is booking, especially back then. 13.8 for the Ferrari is pretty weak, but the driver appears to be babying it.
Oh completely. You could tell he was babying it from the beginning of the video when he didn’t even rev it fully.
He is - when you look at the cockpit shots, he is shifting at 5500rpm.
It's a 2 million dollars car.. I would be afraid to drive it aggressively too
Who care which comes out first. This is poetry in motion. I would watch this on loop...
Broke my heart when the EB110 had to retire. Love that car.
Keep up the great work and keep ‘em coming!
Hey Matt, you should also add the power to weight ratio in the stats just so we can see how close the cars are
What about adding close gear ratio on those cars man?
The F40 is the quickest of 3. A little bit more than 21,7 sec on 1000 meters. As quick as bikes back in 90's. The MCLaren F1 was the very first car to do a 1000 meters below 20 sec ...19,7 sec if I remember right.
I am impressed by the F40’s final finish lmao, the EB110 did get that start but the F40 caught up lmao, love that
When the F40 turbos kick in it becomes a rocket. It's one of the reasons why it's so hard to drive, it's difficult to predict when the turbos power kick in, and so a lot of unexperienced drivers get hurt.
The old Dodge with the truck block is still my favorite childhood dream car. But that F40 is so beautiful and the sounds it makes when shifting 🤤. Great races
Man. Gotta appreciate the subtlety of old supercars sounds. They don't sound too loud, too mean, but it rips so hard. ❤
the blow off valve noise from he F40 Is just Insane! man what a timeless car
Yeah first time I've heard an original going through the gears
Im so glad this video was created. Thank you !
I remember the F40 looking so amazing back in the day. it still looks great now when some of it's competitors are looking dated. Lovely car.
Wow. Get that EB fixed up and bring it back! Awesome video. Nothing really beats a 90s super car race. I wish a modern video game take of period 90s super cars would make a return, would be epic. Need For Speed 2 vibes all the way.
Drag races keep getting crazier, well done Mat
wow, this is one of the greatest drag's I've ever seen. No to mention their ability to drive these cars, without traction control, nor abs, etc :) thanks for bringing it. and for the provider to let these awesome machines to be driven the way it is supposed to :)
As kid i was so much charmed to the F40,... what a car!!
The broad & flat tail 0:10 , the flat front with the deep headlight position, and this gorgeous, compact side profile 9:51 ... I still lovin it!
Keeping history alive, thanks Mat & the carwow team.
These are absolutely legendary cars. Nice to see them rolling and not catching dust in museums. Good work Matt!
Matt running museum pieces like they just came out the dealer. Love this historic drag races!
Carwow never disappoints ❤❤
I would Like to see more drag races like this with old cars . Keep it going!
One of the most expensive and rare races maybe.Mat showing Levels 🔥🔥🔥🔥, respect for the cars and who lent them
I waited 30 years for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This video is the perfect evidence of why the Viper received so much attention and praise, when it was first introduced. Can you imagine all this performance power, back in 1992??
Those 1st generation Vipers can still stand toe-to-toe with a lot of modern day sports cars. They're amazing machines.
It was/is a murderous psychopath and man oh man, do I want one!! 😅
At least on a straight line. Anyway a legendary cool vehicle
WRONG!

@@poislockthe GTS version had a great chassis and was very good on the track.
Sure
Great to see these awesome cars moving. Shame that no one felt brave enough to actually send it though, except maybe Mat in the Viper. I'm sure the F40 would have loved to get nearer to the redline a few times.
IDK, the dude driving it was the owner. Based on what I saw, he doesn't take it out too often. Repairing the F40 could easily cost more than the full price of the Viper. I was thinking this about the EB110. Maybe even worse than the F40 since it has less of a following.
@@darrellm4794 Yeah, I hear you. The car is literally a museum piece so the reticence to drive it hard is understandable. Still would have liked to see it though.
@@darrellm4794Another "investment" owner rather than a real car enthusiast sadly.
@@gazman9468nobody drives an F40 like crazy its an ancient piece of art at this point
@@jamied931Chris Harris does
Please more of these 90's supercars❤
Thank you Mat , we really enjoyed your work
Matt is a fricking legend for getting these cars to drag race each other
Mat is nothing of the sort. You need to credit Carwow's team for that.
I love these classic drag races, you guys and TFL Classics. I'd love to see a 90s ZR-1 drag, and maybe a Diablo, or Countache too.
They should put the zr1 against these
Thats cool. What about Corvette C2 Coupe vs Viper GTS 06 vs Lancer Evo X Engine Swap?
EB110 and F40 are my two favourite non Lamborghini exotics, so this was awesome. That Viper was impressive!
I visited the Petersen Museum in 2021 with my son. We're both die hard enthusiasts. I've got a picture of him standing next to this EB110 (wearing a face mask, unfortunately). we definitely love the EB110 and F40!
Oh. My. God. Now, that’s a bloody dream drag race 😳
If I would have the money and I would be starting a collection an F40 would be the first car on my shopping list. I just love how that car looks.
Most expensive clutches in a drag race 😂 respect matt and carwow for making this happen
Also respect you can break an EB10 and still be given another museum quality vehicle 😂
Would love to see a drag race with the Vector W8 Twin Turbo they also have on display at the Peterson Museum..
F40 was THE car when I was young... and its still so beautiful!
That roll race with the viper is def not the fastest but the most fun, intense, and interesting one we’ve seen for a long time
This guy know he broke the Bugatti and continued racing what a legend 😂
OH MY GOD watching a red Viper and a red F40 going at it gave me goosebumps. What a thing to watch!
Can't get enough of the F40! But the Viper put up a good fight!
Staged.
Matt has skills for sure! Launching a Viper that has no traction control is really sketchy business. Just like braking that hard without ABS to rescue you. Impressive!
Ferrari F40 0-60 in 3.8 sec 470 BHP
Dodge Viper 0-60 in 4.4 sec 400BHP. Either the F40 was sandbagging badly, its driver became clueless or the race was fixed intentionally. No way the Viper would win especially with that gap.
This man always does the most legendary drag races!
