This is great. Definitely opened my eyes to what I've been doing wrong with my b roll shots of landscapes and why they always are soft.

This is helpful. Hey quick tip if you care for it- consider mastering and uploading these types of videos in 4k, even if some of it is shot in 1080. RUclips's compression on 4k uploads is much kinder than HD. For videos like this where detail and close observation is crucial to the theme of the video, it would be nice to have that extra bit of fidelity to the master by taking advantage of the smoother 4k youtube compression. Otherwise, great content as usual!

thanks for that, it's condensed knowledge, straight to the point. It helps me a lot becoming better videographer and photographer. Great content!
PS. I noticed a typo in 5:26 - it should be enviroNment. I'm not sure if you could fix that now and I only noticed it because I am making myself notes for later :)

The upcoming topic on focal length will be an important one. The aperture considerations become particularly important with a longer lens.

The presenting segments were shot with the BMPCC4K. The montage at the start was a mixture of the BMPCC6k and the Ursa Mini 4.6k. And the example/tutorial shots were also filmed with the BMPCC4k.

My rule, the wider the better. With HD/FHD/4K if you lower 👇 the aperture digital blur can't have a low quality effect, no matter what camera 🎥 you using, especially with nature elements but that also consider for city environments. Low apraure for stand out from the crowd portraits and low light 💡conditions. Maybe boring 💤 but functional approach.
