“On The Waterfront” is such a great film. I hadn’t seen it either until a few years ago and Phil Rosenthal’s Criterion Closet video sold me on it.
I’ve only heard amazing this about it and that Brando is unbelievable in it. I really need to finally watch it. If only staying home and watching movies could be my job… Ha ha! Thanks so much for checking out this video!
Never seen Citizen Kane either. Didn't even know about it until I starting getting Criterions. Need to check out The Maltese Falcon & To Kill A Mockingbird as well. Some classics there.
I’ll eventually get to Citizen Kane, it’s one I feel like I “have to” watch at least once. Maybe if I love it I’ll pick up the Criterion edition. Thanks so much for checking out this video, I really appreciate it!

My *real* biggest embarrassment??? The fact that I just watched this video today! I am so sorry it took so long...but it was definitely worth it. First off, thanks so much for the kind words. I really appreciate your friendship over the years, and your kind words really mean a lot to me. Secondly, you have some great films ahead of you! I honestly found Citizen Kane to be a bit overrated until I learned more about its background. It's still one I respect more than enjoy, but I definitely should watch it again. A lot of these are ones I still need to see as well, so I'm right with you, haha! Again, thanks so much for the kind words, and I'm so happy that you did this video. Great idea for a video, I’ll have to check out Branden’s as well. I could probably come up with a good list as well. I think we all have movies that would surprise others that we haven’t seen.
Branden is awesome and I love his channel. Yeah, I had so much fun watching his video that I had to do a video of my own. There are just so many films out there it’s impossible to see it all. But I am looking forward to finally watching through these titles. Thanks for checking out this video!

Those are some heavy-hitters, John! I was definitely not expecting you to show a bunch of titles that I've already seen, lol. Don't worry, they're all good to great (except On the Waterfront, which I haven't seen).
I know man, I need to get on these. The funny thing is that the bulk of my collection is made up of films from this era and I’ve seen so many of them, but clearly I’ve dropped the ball on some big ones. This was fun and again, brave. I need to do this. I've tried to see most of the the popular classics but there are plenty I've missed for sure.
I showed Kelly Citizen Kane this year and she was kind of, meh. I get that. It's good but the hype, I think, far exceeds the actual story in spots. Still worth a watch though.
Truthfully, I would NEVER open that King Kong book. Just buy the Blu-ray. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ha ha! My bravest video yet. Yeah, Casablanca is the one I’m most ashamed about. There’s no excuse on that one. There are just too many incredible films out there to keep up with them all. That unopened King King just stares at me. Ha ha! I really want to see it and even flip through the digi-book, but the collector in me says “don’t open it!” I may buy the other Blu-ray option. That’s my fear with Citizen Kane, that I’ll be super underwhelmed with it. But I need to see it. Thanks so much for checking out this video Stephanie, I really appreciate it!

Ha ha ha! I know, I know. Of all the titles on the list that’s the one I’m most embarrassed about.
No judgement here Jon. I haven't seen Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon, the Conan movies, Citizen Kane or Frankenstein. Then if you count movies I don't have, I never saw Jaws, Halloween, The Exorcist or Gone With The Wind. I'm sure there is a pile more but this is just a sample. I didn't want to be in the confessional all day. And as you probably know, from your live trivia giveaway, I never saw My Cousin Vinny. Anyway, Great video Jon!

I've only seen part of On The Waterfront on TCM recently and what i saw i liked. I'll be picking up the Criterion.
Lou and i still haven't watched Maltese Falcon and Too Kill A Mockingbird either.. I see them on the shelf looking back at me😂
Citizen Kane i watched for 5 minutes and turned it off. Wasn't for me.

Not gonna judge you 😂 I, too have not seen Citizen Kane, on the waterfront and to kill a Mockingbird I do have all three so if I do want to see them at any time I can.
