I too love On The Beach... Great great movie! And recently I watched and loved Shenandoah... Hope you love it too... Being a Jimmy Stewart fan, I am sure you will!
That’s great to hear you also enjoy On the Beach. I’m really looking forward to watching it. A person can never have too much Jimmy Stewart in their collection. Ha ha! I’m so glad Kino has released so many of his films. Thanks for checking out this video!
Excellent video as usual, many of these films I have. never heard as I am delving more into the classics and Kino Lorber does a great job. I own one of their more popular titles The Apartment in 4k, a superb Billy Wilder film and just a beautiful 4k presentation.
The Apartment is such a fantastic film! I have the Blu-ray edition and have not seen the 4K edition, but I bet it looks absolutely beautiful. Black and white films in 4K are gorgeous. Thanks so much for checking out this video, I really appreciate it.
I really enjoyed Scarlet Street, Human Desire, On the Beach, And Odds against Tomorrow. Overall, that's a great looking haul. I need to give Stalag 17 another look some time. It is the only Billy Wilder movie I've seen that I really just can't get into. Have fun watching all your classic Hollywood.
Gotta love that classic Hollywood! I am very much looking forward to diving into these titles. I’ve had so many of them recommended to me by friends that I’m sure I’m going to love them. I am especially looking forward to the James Stewart films. Thanks so much for checking out this video!
Outstanding pickups a lot of great classics. The cat & the Canary was originally a silent film and then a remake with Bob Hope This is Bob’s 1st starring role. Everything he did before that he was just part of an ensemble cast. I just recently rewatched this movie it’s fantastic.
That’s cool! Yeah, I’m looking forward to giving it a watch. I don’t have a ton of his films, but this one looked good. Thanks for checking out this video!
Ha ha! I sold a few titles to reinvest into my Kino collection. I am always happy to add more older films into the collection. Thanks for checking out this video!
Scarlet Street is the only one I own, thought it was pretty solid. Stalag 17 was solid as well, one of Wilder's more underrated titles. I think I saw Human Desire but never ended up grabbing it but love Glenn Ford.
Nice haul! A bunch of classics westerns.
Heard nothing but great things on Scarlet Street. Nice, you got Bend of the River as well. Great pickups!
I can’t wait to watch them both! Thanks so much for checking out this video.
