    • @ryanford5387
      @ryanford5387 3 года назад

      Nope, no sarcasm here. I genuinely believe that Lars' style is best for Metallica songs. It was very good to see more talented drummers play his songs, but Lars wrote them so he feels them more

    • @nathandrums0
      @nathandrums0 3 года назад

      @@ryanford5387 1) Lars can’t count. He counts off his songs with a 6 count when they’re in 4/4. 2) he puts fills in places they do not belong and it throws the whole band off. 3) he doesn’t practice and it shows. His drumming is lazy and sloppy. Has been since 1990.
      Lars is not the best fit for Metallica. He’s lazy and doesn’t care lmao. I stopped listening to them because of him. Jordison and Lombardo played those songs the way they should be played. Ulrich doesn’t respect anything he recorded or wrote on the albums, he just plays whatever random shit comes into his mind and changes the drums ENTIRELY during songs.

You have to have passion in life for music to understand what this moment means to a father. God bless you Mike for giving your son a space in time he will never forget. You're my idol for two reasons now.

    • @tommurrayGTR
      @tommurrayGTR 7 лет назад +2

      Isn't that the most important thing? I can imagine a lot of other drummers playing in Metallica and not being able to hold back and let the song breathe in the same way that Lars does. Yes, it's simple, but the best drummers are the one's that play(ed) for the song rather than for themselves or the other drummers or musicians that might listen. I'm watching a MP video so I obviously enjoy more involved drumming too, Rush etc.
      Also, 80s and 90s lars was incredible, I think he was probably at his best around 98 to 00... whatever happened from 03 'til now? I don't know, but the 80s and 90s Lars was great. Especially considering how basic he was in '83 compared to where he was by '88 or '91.
