    This was lovely. The main reason why I like fingerpicking over strumming. A big thank you, Bree.

      @@YouandBreeMusicTutorials I have owned the uke for sometime now, I do fingerpick songs following some major channels tutorials but it always felt forced and using my thumb mostly, trying what you taught in the video was exactly what I was looking for, learning the basic and can do my own thing :) thank you so much again 👍 wished I knew this earlier :) please do keep posting videos :) instant subscriber here :)

    • @YouandBreeMusicTutorials
      @YouandBreeMusicTutorials  4 года назад

      I’m so glad this is just what you needed. When I first learned I actually relied on my thumb for a long time too. Once I learned to use all of my fingers (even though that was tough at first) it completely transformed the way I played. I too enjoyed picking patterns much more. I also love that this way you can practice picking patterns by just moving your fingers even if you don’t have your uke with you. 😊

    Hello Bree,
    What's the difference between a picking pattern and a tab? At a certain it is written that "this is the picking pattern not the tab".
    Many thanks

    • @YouandBreeMusicTutorials
      @YouandBreeMusicTutorials  3 года назад +1

      Great question! Apologies I didn’t get back sooner.
      TAB shows which frets/notes you need to play. You’ll notice in this video I don’t show the numbers of frets, just ‘0’ for the string you play so that you can be creative and use whichever chord you want. I was aiming for keeping the focus on the strings rather than the notes. ☺️
      I hope this answers your question.
