I'd be totally down for a post apocalyptic England that looks similar to The Last of Us with some towns/metro areas effectively turned into QZs with the military remnants operating what's left
@@Swell-FilmsIt probably wouldn't fit, but my obsessed self would LOVE to see Daryl and Carol encounter the still dead but restored to sentience Partially Deceased Syndrome Sufferers of my personal favourite zombie media, BBC's In the Flesh. That universe had The Rising quelled by the invention of a serum. The protagonist Keiran Walker is actually named as a nod to The Walking Dead.
I cant be the only one that just wants Daryl to finally get home and reunite with Rick right? Like im enjoying this show, but like how long can they possibly make us wait for the interaction 😭
Yes we want Rick and Daryl not Daryl and Carol. We'd like the original gang back together. There also needs to be bigger stakes. The whole CRM arc was a bust.
I hope the french guy comes back next season ( legit don't know how to write his name ), i loved his arc this season and i hope that we get to see him soon, i enjoyed this season, i believe S1 was better, this season's biggest mistake was killing of Isabelle, she should've been on the plane with the kid, and once Daryl finally goes back to America, he gets to see Rick again and have a happy ending with her, and at the same time she doesn't ''steal'' the limelight from Carol going forward, besides that, it was a pretty decent season, i'd give it a 8/10. p.s: hate how they didn''t elaborate on the extra scene at the end of World Beyond, and that we didn't get more information on variants.
I love that there’s lots of ideas for environmental storytelling from this season. I can’t wait! 😃 I think when people just stand there and don’t scream when being ripped apart by walkers is because they kind of accept their fate. So although it’s a gruesome death, it’s also a quiet one. But acceptance or not, I’d still scream my head off. lol
Finale was ok. I just can't get over killing Isabelle, Genet and then reseting the whole plot without fleshing it out. They flopped with the variants and experiments storyline. Then completely trolled us with the WB post credit scene, and even worse the " -ick came back" scene from season one.
Good review, I feel the writer team should totally stop put promises and teasing regarding the world building in and let the people in charge doing what they want. It's always a disappointment when the promises something (the crm and pouvoir) they should just concentrate with a cool story each season instead of wrap it up this big storyline in the second season so fast. (Especially with how awsome the zombies look in that spin-off)
@Swell-Films it would have been great! When Norman Reedus said we're getting a crazy finale i was expecting the variants to over take France, or something to that effect
You always have to distrust strangers in the WD universe. Like the ladies in Greenland, seemingly normal exteriors hide all kinds of ptsd, sociopathy and wierd often deadly motivations. The ruthless cruel and petty tend to survive and prosper.
Well think about it, they said they came through the same tunnel they went through to get to France. So they had to know about the guano and the dead checkpoint. So clearly they were setting then up in order to get supplies from them.
What supplies? They only have the clothes on their back. The reason the scouts gave was they need the gas mask to save themselves. Daryl picked up a gas mask and the scouts took it from him knocking him out but if they looked around there's tons of gas masks on dead soldiers. How much work can it be to take one off a zombie.
So I think this group is setting up for a new main group now and I like that. I thought certain threats felt rushed but that’s gonna happen when you have only 6 episodes to bring carol and Daryl back together so hopefully now they have the get together hopefully they can get on with a better story
I feel like each episode gets worse and worse and by all means they’re not awful but They’re so lazy to write storylines i’m a bit worried. How does universe will go?
I agree. It's not as exciting as it should be. Not sure why. The story and characters are just the same as last of us which is critically acclaimed. Daryl is trying to save Laurent while Joel is saving Ellie and there's more action in this show than last of us but for some reason this show isn't as exciting. Not sure why.
TBH, I didn't watch this season, I watched through your Video's.👌 Thank you for the Reviews and Providing such Excellent Content, Well Done‼️ 🙌💎📽️🧟♂️🩸🖤
Honestly I think they rushed Izzy because the actress had other commitments. It seems like she's involved in several projects and could only return for a special scene in the finale that could try to bring closure (which didn't really do it for me). I think she couldn't leave her work in France (where all her current projects are located). I think without her, plotting out the rest of the season could only really culminate in getting Laurent to safety and giving Daryl a reason to continue fighting. So unfortunately her commitments to other projects pretty much means that either Daryl leaves her behind in France for some reason, while getting Laurent separated from her and leaving a giant plot hole, or killing her off. (Since they didn't show her turning, there is always the chance they find some insane way to bring her back in like 10 years, even if the current show runners say she's dead). I think that they will find Codron somewhere in the tunnel (either dead) or he made it through and they find he may have been taken, leading them to run into people while searching (and thus kicking off their time in England). From the teaser it doesn't seem that England is secure anymore which makes sense, as it's often the theme of TWD that the old ways to maintain order don't work anymore.
In my opinion this episode was good to me because I loved the fight scene and Kadron was such a badass as you were explaining fighting as he was injured. Idk why but that particular fight scene kind of reminded me of season 8 episode 16 Wrath idk why but it just did. Now Ash should have left Darly and Carol after what Carol did. I’m actually hoping in season 3 they go back to the United States and Darly can reunite with Ricky Dicky do da grimes. This season I will give it a 8/10.
@ thanks and hey that’s your opinion but there was some good things in the show like the variant walkers and fight scenes. Every time I see the walkers run it reminds me of the 28 days later zombies aka the infected. I’m hoping season 3 comes around summer time.
Do you think you will do a environmental storytelling? On the hallucination area. Now you know what I mean by the finale, having a huge environmental storytelling opportunity. 8:47. That being the euro tunnel. Obviously.
What too me completely out of the hallucination scene is both every character having visions of a loved one at the same time (very convenient huh), and the fact that even in darkness, I could see that it very much wasn't the same actress that played Sophia (wich I understand for obvious reasons). While I think they nailed her outfit that the time of her death, but her hair was very off lol. I just think that it's weird they couldn't get her look as close as they could to S2 Sophia, considering all the other characters having nice outfits and set pieces.
Yeah the comics called “the alien” but it takes place at the very start of the outbreak, I give my thoughts on how he could possibly be introduced in this video here ruclips.net/video/1L6zVeYf9Qc/видео.htmlsi=fr8AT9MG_TOZ1NPV
I agree that this season was not as compelling as the first and I really liked Genet until we got her ridiculous back story. I still don't see how the janitor lady became the most feared and powerful person in France. So many characters in this series have watched helplessly while a loved one is killed in front of them. I don't by that that was enough to push her in this direction. Some things are better left to the viewer to imagine I think. That said I am still liking this enough to be excited about season 3 whenever that happens.
Had hope for this finale and while I did enjoy it a bit still hella problematic. 1. Like why would yall do codron like that after he just found out Daryl didn’t kill his brother, the hallucinations seems to be something that brings regret to the forefront so while him leaving to chase his brother makes sense, him attacking Daryl does not. 2. wtf is up with every extra companions they encounter, they always end on trying to kill them. You’re telling me there were only two gas mask with all the people we saw and might I add, they easily found out everyone there killed eachother and that it was from the gas so why would Daryl just leave the mask sitting there and why wouldn’t yall search that camp area. The lights were working fairly well so come on.
Hi Ty Swell, as I hope you’ll see this comment. Are you gonna cover any of the telltale the walking dead game? Between of season one and four? With environmental stories and characters to impact on. I’d say it’s pretty good idea to put it into video format. Anyways keep up the good work and have a great day, Swell.
The whole 2nd season of Daryl Dixon kills everything that was building up in the 1st one. And it's...sad. Frustrating, as you say. We have whole lot of characters, places, society to tell the story of how this country could get through and it fails. It's not having a big progression from 1st season and most of the arcs just died out only having a beginning. 1st season felt like new beginning, new story and so on. But from the start of 2nd season it felt like it's 5-6th season of the original TWD with wars, groups and everything. It's not bad, but makes personal story of Daryl really small. Overall, it felt like after 1st season whole idea turned around on 180 degree because of someone's idea. It's hard to say that TWD have good and big story when most of the tropes are just come out of nowhere, with change of pace and whole philosphy in some way. Like killing 2 villains in two episodes which stand right next to each other and make a 3rd one in last episode and not make anything major. It would be better in my opinion to make a whole story a little longer. Isabelle and Daryl would decide to run away with Laurent in Spain making other groups chase after them, making contact with groups in Spain. In that case, Genet could show and use serum for trade/threat to get Laurent and others. What about Carol? Her story would be longer and much more intresting storyline with Ash and Stephane, which now helped find out where is Daryl and move to the Spain. Sorry, for that suggestion thing, but I'm disappointed in finale of this season. Want to believe that next one will be better, but you know...
Well the TWD season 1-4 was the best fighting zombies then the governor. After that it was fighting one human baddie after another Negan, whisperer, Commonwealth etc and zombies became a sideshow. It does get repetitive. Same with Daryl so far.
i was so disappointed in this episode given Norman said he thought it was some of the best TWDU has ever done .. I was expecting so much more. this season was a mess

No way darryl just said when Carol asked about codron he ran off😂 such a lame way for him to go i started to really like him i hope we see him again
codron
Codron disappears and reappears alot in both seasons. I think him running off again only means he'll pop up again in S3.
Yeah they got no room for him in the Daryl and Carol show so sent him packing.
Genet and Isabelle are wasted characters.. they could've just let Genet rule France and make the characters make a desperate escape..
Exactly! I truly thought they would have to flee France because she unleashed her "rage" walkers in the finale
I would’ve much preferred that. Like Daryl and Carol are “wanted” in France
@Swell-Films it would have been great! When Norman Reedus said we're getting a crazy finale i was expecting the variants to over take France, or something to that effect
They wanted to wrap up the Paris arc so killed everyone off so quickly. But you gotta admit she got a cool death with a taste of her own medicine.
