    This might honestly be a new low for The Walking Dead. The endless string of convenient plot points felt like Fear the Walking Dead at its worst, and I’m really struggling to come up with anything positive to say. The praise this episode is getting from some people just confuses me. It was a letdown - and I’ve never thought The Walking Dead was amazing to begin with, just pretty entertaining. This wasn't even that.

    the show is off the rails, it was actually pretty good until carol came into the mix so they decided to kill off issabelle and litteraly rush any story that was left in an episode. now theyre teasing with new actors for season 3. but really who cares they probably are gonna get a fear the walking dead season 8 script and die anyway... the last 3 episodes sucked out all my hope on the show. they could have made something amazing, something to remember. but when i think back at season 1 i feel salty cuz it feels like ive kind of been watching it for nothing.

      As soon as Marion took control of The Nest and Mont-Saint-Michel, Normandy, they freaking killed her off. The writers could've made almost a whole new story plot for the later episodes but they ripped the damn thing apart. Would have like to seen Daryl and Isabelle going back to get help from Montmartre Rooftop Community and Demimonde to try and inflitrate the place back against a new combined team of Marion, Losang, and Jacinta but no the writes had to pull a stupid twist near the end and ruined it. We didn't even need all the Carol is a badazz scenes like we have not seen enough of that crap in almost 5 seasons of the original Walking Dead she was not need in this series

    If it wasn’t for Daryl i wouldn’t even care about The Walking Dead anymore but anyway can you talk about the Terrifier franchise like honestly those movies are so gory and Art The Clown is the next horror slasher villain next to Jason, Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger

    Why the heck did they kill off Clemance Posey character like that. I guess adding Carol and giving her all the time in the spotlight has overthrown the series into not adding anymore good and cool characters who can be connected to Daryl. I was really hoping to finally see a relationship with the two but that's not even possible now.

    It's exactly the same story Laurent's mom was turned when he was born born from death to be the cure and in the last of us TV show Ellie was born after her mom got bitborn from death to be the cure They absolutely 100% copied the last of us Even going as far as Daryl with the guitar Ellie playing it's the same exact story

    Carol was amazing up to season 6, but then she started to get stale (though I liked her arc in Season 9 & 1!).
    She has long overstayed her welcome (like most TWD characters, some might say). And c'mon, she's 60 years old and they expect us to believe she is still out there taking on thugs half her age? You know what would be FAR more interesting than what they are doing with her so far? Showing how a badass deals with issues that come with aging, losing the edge they once had and having to come to terms with it. It would be realistic and something we don't see that much. Same with Daryl honestly, though I think he's a bit younger. Carol's arc should have ended when she was still a plausible character.

    Hey Ronnie! What's going on with Doomsday Kingdom? Still working on it? Also, have you seen the show FROM on MGM+? Dude it's AMAZING! Give it a shot! You may want to do reviews on it. It's up to season 3 and it's great! Cheers 🍻

    1:04:00 Collecting comics is a bit of a trap. I've been collecting on and off my entire life. And while I absolutely love a lot of the comics I own, they all just end up in boxes sitting in closets. I live in a condo, and I don't have room to store all of my long boxes, so most of them have ended up at my parents' house. And if I ever did want to sell them, it would take years to get rid of them all on eBay. I'd have to just sell them back to a comic shop and get pennies per issue.

    They missed the Boat when they introduced the Dixon series in not showing that when Daryl shows up in France we find out besides Merle ,
    That Daryl went there to reunite with 2 other brothers that we never known of and both their names are also Daryl

    The Walking Dead is absolutely a dead franchise now. It has no relevance in the pop culture zeitgeist anymore and I don't really know anyone aside from the hardcore shills (who would watch paint dry if it had the brand name attached) who even watch it anymore. Even TWD channels like Trevschan2 aren't really making videos on it anymore. The Season 6 Negan cliffhanger combined with the slow as molasses pacing of Seasons 7-8 and Carl's death really killed a lot of the audiences interest in the IP.
    I didn't even watch Season 2 of Daryl Dixon: Book of Carol (Jesus who comes up with these shitty titles?). I don't give a shit about Carol anymore. They've literally repeated her character arc multiple times at this point. She should've died at the end of the Whisperer arc but there so afraid to kill any major character off after the dumb backlash they got from Glenn's death being "too brutal" even though this is supposed to be a horror show. The thing is there's no more plot to tell with these characters. Rick, Daryl, Carol, Maggie, Michonne, Morgan etc. stories are over. They caught up to the comics and they rebuilt society for the most part. Negan is like the only one you could do something interesting with but instead they paired him with Maggie which was stupid as hell. He should've had his own solo show were he went off on his own and encountered new people. The only way this series recovers is if they reboot or tell new stories with new characters and locations within the same continuity.
    Why watch these spinoffs when there's plenty of better stuff out there to watch like The Penguin, Tulsa King, Shogun, The Gentlemen etc. that actually have story to tell and arcs for the characters. All the Walking Dead feels like now is a money laundering scheme for the actors to get paid and AMC to make a quick buck. No heart, no passion, no soul anymore.

      Well said. I 100% agree! I just can’t with the TWD franchise anymore. It’s so sad. The original show used to be everything to me… well… up to the S6 cliffhanger, and some spotty episodes beyond. S8 was the worst for me.
      What had so much potential became an embarrassing, soupy cringe fest. Has felt like such an insult for far too long.

    • @StraightEdgeJunkie
      @StraightEdgeJunkie 25 дней назад +1

      I agree completely. The core story of The Walking Dead was always about the survivors' struggle to adapt and find their place in a world turned upside down by the zombie apocalypse. Over the years, we’ve seen them not only survive but also rebuild society, form alliances, and take down major threats. That journey is complete, and the core characters have reached the end of their arcs. At this point, it feels like there's nothing left to tell. The series has lost the heart and momentum that made it compelling, and now the spinoffs seem like an effort to keep things going without a real story left to explore. It’s time to let it rest.

    Nothing was as bad as FWD. The writers wrote the kids fixed a crash airplane and then it landed in a field without lights…and pilot accomplished this difficult move without night goggles. Then the writers stopped writing about the smartest kids in world…they were just written off.

      i think its more because theres alot of goofy moments like in fear season 7 and 8. combined with that they basically reboot the show by killing off issabelle to make room for carol. kind of what they did with madison to make room for morgan jones is season 4 :P

    • @NinaWiriamuzu
      @NinaWiriamuzu 26 дней назад

      Like I said the writers were better off adding more seasons for TWD World Beyond at least it gave us a look at the CRM. FWD did the impossible in a zombie series, they killed characters off and brought them back alive just how stupid can a writer be to do that.

    I'm so sorry that I missed this. RUclips has become an overwhelming burden with their ads (as if Google doesn't make enough money to support RUclips with their data mining and harvesting), that I rarely come here any more. Even worse is how TWD has become such nauseating garbage that I cannot stomach watching it.

    Hot take: The franchise is still good, but y'all are still upset over stuff that happened in the main show.
    There are franchises/shows that are a lot worse that are just being milked dry but y'all are still eating it up.
    Marvel? GTA? Pokemon? Grey's Anatomy? Supernatural? Call of Duty? I can keep going.

    • @BlackChad792
      @BlackChad792 24 дня назад

      Your comment is satire right? Its like you are simply naming random franchises in the hopes of making an argument and even then you failed miserably, when you said that GTA, a game with 5 mainline entries, is as milked dry as walking dead with dozen seasons, and half a dozen horrible spin-offs.
      As someone who has been with walking dead since the beginning: the show is so bad its hard to not see it as comedy at times. Even without the mainline show the spin-offs deserve awards for being some of the most idiotic cheesy written pieces of media in existence. Walking Dead is so bad that mainstream viewership don't even hate on it anymore, they simply forgot it exists.

    • @greedythegoon8607

      @@BlackChad792 There's nothing satirical about my comment, and that's all I need to say.
      Half of these franchises I named are ass and have been milked dry. But if Walking Dead wants to make one spinoff, then it's automatically bad lol.

    and we have tee shirt girl up for what reason? Have a favor to ask is it possible for you to expand your vocabulary from almost totally cursing, the very thing you abhor in the writing and activity you provide as commentary. How cringe? And under the topic Season 2 finale review we get a droplet about gaming. To quote you, I'm tapped out. I'm sure that you are providing something for someone, however at this point you are coming over as repetitive and crass.
