Hey Robert,
We have a close friend of ours, Brian, who got ran over by a tractor that slipped into gear. He survived thankfully but suffered internal bleeding, a fractured pelvis, 6 broken ribs, and a fractured jaw. The doctors stopped the internal bleeding and have him in a medically induced coma until they operatedon him. He could use all the prayers sent his way, Thank you.

Hey Robert, He's out of the coma. They did some surgery on him they removed his spleen, and they put a metal plate in his chest because he was having trouble breathing from his broken ribs, which were pressing against one of his lungs.

Not much has happened lately, they did surgery on his face. Brian's health has been improving. He starts therapy soon.

Grateful for the deckhand that properly educated me and kept me safe after I landed a MASSIVE lion fish a few years back about 60 miles off of SC! I was oblivious to the risk.

@@boitanoexcavation3564 It was easily a pound. Honestly could’ve been 1.5 pounds or more. It was oddly big. Captain bashed its head in and tossed it in the trash so quick that my bro-in-law and I barely had time to react. I was not too familiar with them so didn’t realize what we had caught. The second one we caught was much more normal sized.
I find myself praying with you guys when you bless your meals. lol My wife and I always give thanks wherever we go for our meals.

That’s a funny situation. Seething in pain at the back (couldn’t tell too much) of the boat, friend comes over gives him food hoping it may help him, then all of a sudden, the one seething in pain reacts to a rod bending😂😂. Definitely a “you gotta be tough” kind of moment😂

Constricted blood flow probably, You see it in obese people and people with heart problems alot, usually the legs. Interesting it happened from a lionfish, probably swelling constricting your blood flow more than likely.

Rob you need to get you a first dive lion fish sting kit. I have been hit quite a few times as well and even though the kit doesn't kill 100% of the pain it sure knocks it down and is worth every penny.

Barbed myself one time and I can't tell you, it's a weird throbbing pain. Instant swelling occurred, slight headache ( maybe from overthinking ) and it lasted for maybe hour and a half. ALWAYS CUT THE SPINES PEOPLE!!!!!
I feel you and know that pain! A deep one from a Rockfish gave me a large bump (maybe scar) on my finger that I still have 2 months later.

While I haven't experienced the pain of a lionfish sting, I have been stung by a stingray in the ankle while surfing just north of San Diego, CA. I had to soak my foot in hot water for three hours-it was excruciating. I'm glad to hear you made it through. It could have been much worse.
Pain is weakness leaving the body
Rob, Years ago I blew a disc out in my lower back. The pain was nearly unbearable! My chiropractor immediately put a huge bag of ice on my bare back. Within 20 minutes I could feel nothing! Pain gone!! He was able to work on the disc to get it back in place before the ice wore off. Prob Solved! That was all I could think of when I saw your pain! ROB PUT YOUR HAND IN THE ICE!!!! It totally deadens all nerves! Next Time!?? lol Thanks for the vids you do... appreciate you my friend!

Hot water as hot as you can stand it I stepped on a stingray the barb went through my ankle was ready to pass out the emergency room said put it in the hottest water you can stand and the pain went away immediately but as soon as the water started cooling off the pain came rushing back I told my sister more hot water pain went away slowly got better and better that was many years ago it worked
We literally boiled water and it did. Nothing… I kept my thumb in it till it was boiled! It really did nothing!!

I feel your pain! When I was a kid I got stung in the eye ball by two wasps.
Uncle Rob is just the coolest. I must have gone like 20yrs without being stung by any bees or wasps, and a few summers ago I got nailed twice by yellow jackets in the span of one week. Apparently, I became allergic as an adult, and those stings hurt and swelled something fierce. I know that lionfish must be on a different level of pain...

Robert, you have done one thing that leaves an indelible mark on my mind. And that’s, that you never can be too careful, but you can end up being too confident at times! As many videos as I have seen you and your groups get lionfish And lobster, it’s almost as if we assume that you are going to handle it and nothing’s going to happen. There’s an old saying that it can happen to the best of us! In my book, you are some of the best of us! I love you and your family come even though I’ve never met you personally. But I’m sure if I ever get a chance to it would be a great experience. If you ever come to Kauai, I’m easy to spot!
