Of course I love comics, but also Tonka trucks, Lionel electric trains, marbles, Topps Mars Attacks bubble gum cards, cereal promotions like baking soda submarines, voyage to the bottom of the sea lunch box, and so much more. I've worked hard all my life and just retired from the Summit County Sheriff's Office so life is serious enough. That part of me that loves these things will never grow up. That's what 'fun' means to me. Thanks for sharing your passion, and your wonderful memories.

Normally I see collectors that more closely resemble hoarders, but your collection is curated like a museum! Also, being eight foot tall, lines up with bumping into things🤣

Love how you got your boxes label with the picture sample of the books. Comic addiction is not a bad thing. Control of the wallet is something I forced myself to do. The first 2 weeks are the toughest! The pictures on the boxes represents what's inside, something I started with "Office Boxes" back in 1971. Thank you for the kind words!!

The Lunchboxes have always been there for me since 1966 when I got my first one (Batman & Robin) as a matter of fact, I didn't want to get rid of it..so my mom kept my Batman Cards in it for me.
You have to take another trip in that room. Did I see a matchbox display. When I was little after my haircut my grandmother would buy me a Matchbox car back in the 70s. And I also got a metal Howard Johnson's truck that I wish I kept. I enjoyed your video Happy New Year

the grading process is important. For me, thats step one. Bu then, I have to UPDATE my worth of my collection, by comparing it to the latest Price Guide list values for the comics based on their condition and title and issue number.
AFTA Comics I’ve got about 11 boxes of Platinum and Golden Age Comics, I’m always keeping tabs of their grades, but I also have a passion for studying them for their stories and art which is why I always handle them with kid gloves 🧤 and latex gloves when it comes to reading them. No CGC slabbing of them for me, it’s just archival storage of them in acid free Mylar and boxes.

That['s right!!! Matchbox was and early EARLY favorite of mine! .59 cents at the Wharton Pharmacy!!! I have all my originals plus my older brothers!! The display is an old Timex Watch case which was given to me about 30 years ago!0.
I haven't bought a comic in a year. No money. Although that has given me the opportunity to read some things I had on my shelf and I had yet to crack open.
I started slowly...first a closet...small One bedroom house behind us and then graduated to room #1..then room#2 (Which she vows is it) All the while..I had to keep it neat and clean!!!! Oh..and I bought her jewelry...that helped.
I haven’t bought any new comics or been in a comic shop or a convention since last March, but in my case it’s because of Covid 19 and I’m committed to social distancing because of my compromised immune system and also because I’m looking after an elderly mother, so no unnecessary shopping whatsoever until we get a vaccine at some point. Hopefully in 2021 sometime I’ll go on a comics shopping spree.
Yes! 2021 will be better! I have a 90 year old mom who lives by herself(With help) and I'm her caregiver, so I get it. No conventions or shops for me either since March.
