- Here's part 4 of my day in the home studio. It's 3PM and it's a session for Fox via ISDN (which is a link to their studio using stereo phone lines). This is only the first part of the session the rest is coming soon. In this part I do some of the promos for "Cops" I was the voice on these promos for about 8 years. You may recognize it when you hear it but probably never knew it was me. Enjoy, JAT

holy crap. i never knew that promo voice was you. great range you've got there!
I swear, I'd be singing "Batman smells" every time. It's a hard habit to break. Keep cranking these out James, they're impossible not to enjoy.
It's almost a mind-trip to see that voice coming out of your mouth, just because it's a voice that is usually detached and never given an image. It's like I can't see it belonging to a human. You amaze me!
...never uploaded a Part 5 :(
Hey James, thanks for putting this up. I am an aspiring director and if/when i get to call people such as yourself i can have knowledge on what you go through and have more respect for it now. I believe it is important for a good director to see and try what they expect their actors to do so that everyone has a better work environment. Once again thank you for the glimpse it is very entertaining and appreciated. (also thank you for doing what you do. your voice has entertained me a great deal)
I meant to say. That was awesome. It is neat that you were the COPS promo voice for the last 8 years.
These are so awsome James. Thanks for sharing can't wait for the next one :)
Thank you so much for sharing these James- I learned so much from these videos. You are an inspiration sir!!

GAH! I never knew that was you in the Fox Promos!!! That's so cool! haha

"Jingle Bell, Batman Smell-" lol
I could see anyone making that kind of mistake when people sing Jingle Bells. XD
Once again, I always like these videos you put up James. I cannot wait what you have in store for part 5.
Love you James! You're my inspiration. I'd love to have an exciting career like yours.
Glad you're still uploading these!
This is awesome!
Thanks so much for posting these day in the life of videos. I'm a new voice talent and trying to learn and absorb as much as I can. I learned a ton watching you perform. Gesturing, breathing, etc. All of these videos are superb.
You are an amazing talent. Great stuff
JAT - Just wanted to say great work on the Back to the Future Video Game as Young Emmett...even though it took me forever to solve one of the labratory puzzles and I had to hear you yelling at me and emphasizing words in the background for a good five minutes. Haha.
I love these videos!! I wish I had scratches for all the auditions I do!!! haha...
haha, great stuff, your southern accent is better than mine! and I LIVE in the south!
Omg! That episode of batman is my favorite!!!!! And green arrow and black canary's song is my favorite :)
"Fringe"? That show's awesome! I didn't know you did a promo auditiion for that! =D
You're hilarious dude! great talent
@JamesArnoldTaylor Thank you. I loved your role in Final Fantasy X as Tidus and because japanese games have a connections to anime, I would suspect that you might have done roles in the anime department also. Someday when anime actors get paid better i hope to see you star in future anime series. Your voice acting work is just too awesome to not have touched every area voice work has to offer. I support your work all the way.
Lovin the wee goatee you're rocking, making you that little bit more like obi-wan :)
@r3dronin Yes, I hear that in my headphones whenever they have their "talkback" button pushed. But usually not when I'm voicing the promos. and Yes, it takes a lot of getting used to. Thanks for the question Best to you!
JAT
My dad is watching "Cops" while I was watching cops! Great job! JAT! I'd never thought I'd say this to anyone, but you are way better than Clemson. You sir, are AWESOME! :D
this guy is awesome
I can't sit still when I'm doing voice acting, I have to physically act it out.
Good to know I'm not the only one.
This line of work looks really fun to do, and I'm glad I discovered it. I'm getting decent recognition for my RUclips voice-over work, and I really hope to be in the professional business someday.
XD
loved it!
"The "Granny Smith" Green Apples"...my brother used to like those when he was younger. (according to my mom)
@LysergIY Anime is generally done outside of the Screen Actors Guild or Radio Television guilds contracts,so union actors like myself are not eligible to do the work. Also, they are not usually recorded in Hollywood. It is usually very taxing work for very little pay and I commend the actors that do it for the love of it. Thanks for checking out my stuff! Best to you! JAT
Still waiting for Part 5 James. :P
going to see ttm in may
:D
Hmm Granny Green apples, I should use that thanks for the information I can tell that to stage actors I know. :)
I really love you as young Emmett Brown :)
Just had to say that.
"Batman smells" bit sounds like something Oliver Queen would break into, also Green Apples... Green Arrow... Harry Osborn... Green Yoda? Hmm
Hey JAT!Your my favorite celebrity and have been ever since u talked to me on Facebook!Your Awesome!Im gonna mention u in one of my youtube videos if its ok with you.IDK when i'll make it though. MTFBWY and God bless!
~!Sarah Gabrielle McNair!~
Still waiting for part 5 after 4 months =(
Oops! I meant I was watching the commercial for "Cops" by James Arnold Taylor. XD
I must say that I'm amazed at the versatility of your voice. Did a lot of that come naturally or did you have to hard work on it?
@AhsokaTano14 I agree, after singing the Batman smells for almost my whole life, it's challenging to get out of the habit. Wait, Ahsoka?
My dream is to be a voice actor, I hope I can reach my goal like you did.
How many promos & voice over work do you go through exactly & how many takes do you have to do?
you are the most rockinest actor i know that can do an obiwan voice
The green apples are good though tart. However I can't tell if they're granny smith. So how do you know?
@AhsokaTano14 I learned from the Batman cartoon in the 90's.
@Traivlin Ditto..... Shame we couldn't see him doing the dialogue, would've been interesting..
So with the ISDN echo, do you actually hear that through the headphones, and if so, was it difficult to adjust to?
i can kind of do obi wan myself but i need help could you upload a video to help me
i looked james up on wiki and he hasn't done any anime roles. kinda surprising. why?
Pro.
Are you voice acted Spyro the Dragon?
Easy. He said they were that brand.
That eas
@JCHIV1989 This is coming from a guy who does commercials for my school doing an imitation of Tom Kane's Scrubbing Bubbles voice (Me.) Ask your local News Station or Radio Station if you can promote ads for them, they may not pay you a whole lot (I do it for free.) But they will offer you to do it for other programs and etc. When you do National Commercials that's when the money comes in. Trust me.
Batman. Hahahaaaa.
