Nice setup man. I especially like how you were a able to fix your iPad on a stand in your booth. I’ve noticed that some recording studios are fraying away from traditional copies and going towards a tablet based way of offering copies

I am currently working at my church where I film services, opening videos, and any other job they ask me to do. The guy I actually work under his main thing is sound mixing, which hopefully he'll teach me, but I WISH his station was as neat as yours it'd make finding things a whole lot easier.

Why thank you, I've actually been organizing their storage units which I'll hopefully finish by tonight because by golly they needed it done. After that CHRISTMAS!!! and maybe sound mixing. :D

Great tour, James! Always love seeing what you're workin' with. Blows me away every time. That dual monitor setup is brilliant. I may have to do that myself! Looks easier on the ol' neck, too, when working long editing hours. Can't wait to see what your setup looks like in a couple of years for the next studio tour, haha.

4:20 This shows how tech savvy I am. The thing I am finding most interesting is that rock under your ISDN Box and you never even said what it was... I am actually super interested to know what its importance is for it to live on your desk.

What are you using to mount your mic boom arm to the wall? It is surprisingly bare bones for a wall mounted solution. It doesn’t look like the Heil WM1 so I’m curious. Thanks!!!

Hello there
Are you going to be doing anything the windows or floors?
How do you prevent computer fans from interrupting your mic?
You could keep the computer outside of your studio, and/or get a computer that runs quietly while recording.
You could also record on a computer/tablet that doesn't even have a fan.
Hey JAT, how often do you redo/adapt your studio's desk? I just looked back to an Ask JAT from 2016 and it looks significantly different. Does it change to suit your needs every few years or is it in continuous change?
bobbob123ful this desk is gonna stay with me for a long time. It was something I had wanted for a long time but hadn’t found the right technology that offered a sit stand option and all the rack space until now. I’ll be keeping this one! 👍🏻😜
So Star Wars the clone wars coming out for battle front or the TV series???
When you did the voice for Obi Wan for Battlefront 2, was that from your home studio or a Lucasfilm studio?
Actually neither... It was recorded in Burbank CA

Well now that I know that James Arnold Taylor is in it and have a more reliable job that could pay for the PSN subscription, I might actually be able to play the games!!!
