It's good to know I'm not alone when I'm making funny faces and noises in the car. Or wherever. Thank you for sharing these. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks so much for sharing, James! You're providing an amazing resource for voiceover actors like myself (also glad to know even the pros get self-conscious at stop lights :P)
I think its great what you're doing here brother. I'm a voice actor in Toronto, Canada and hope to be moving to LA soon; I have an opportunity with an agent down there. Its a big jump though aha. Anyways, keep these awesome vids up! This is such an unknown industry, you do a great job shedding light on it (: I'll be watching!
this is all very cool to be able to see! love behind the scenes type stuff like this. Would love to see you on set somewhere doing the recording as well, but I'm sure that would be restricted.
Thanks for the tips, Mr. Taylor! This is really helpful! As someone who wants to become a professional VA, I know this'll come in handy! So thank you! :D
yeah I was about to say what would other drivers say when they see you doing that lol, I also saw a movie your going to be in called Wilde life I think it's called. looks good.
This is awesome! And very informative. I wish to one day become a voice actor just like you, and this here is getting me closer and closer to my goals.
Hey James, Thank you for all you do for us aspiring actors! Huge blessing! You shared in one of your videos (warm ups part I) building up the muscle in the register transitions; when there's no break, your muscle is built up in that specific area. How exactly do you build it up? There are days when I can do a complete vocal range exercise and there's no breaking. but there are others when I'm cracking and breaking like crazy. any ideas? Also, may I send you a mock demo voice reel for constructive criticism from you? If so, what email should I send it to? I'm just getting in the business and would love some help from someone who (though I haven't met you) appears to be very kind and respectable. Thanks again, and I will not be offended if you decline my request. I'm not used to the voice acting culture and am very ignorant, so please forgive me if this was out of line. Thanks! Feel free to PM me!
Haha. I was thinking people must think your crazy and then you brought up not doing it during a red light. Course that doesn't mean passangers that stare out windows wont think that
Great blog, James. You are charming and wonderful.

Even though I am not a voice actor (or have the capacity that I know), I have thoroughly enjoyed these vlogs!
I'm not a VA nor do I ever plan to be, but I love these vlogs! It's super interesting watching you work.
+vsc _ Thanks! glad you're interested

This is very beneficial, due to having problems with speech.
I'm sorry I laughed! This is how he warms up and I can't help but laugh! XD

Very insightful. Looking forward to part 2.
Watching some old vids and this is great! Might use this to see if I could ever do voice acting! XD not that I’m good at that. I’m not vocally ranged.
Burbank? Top secret video game?
Insomniac, maybe?
+RFR Films Ratchet and Clank, possibly!?!?
Well, he claims to have never played the game or seen the characters, so it can't be R&C.
+RFR Films Maybe his NDA is really strict so he's not allowed to reveal anything whatsoever.
That was my first guest or FFX-3
thank you, Jat😎👍
Nice vlog. I was curious if you do video game work in your home studio or if you have to a studio.
+BoukenGreen Always at studios they don't do them from home studios they like to have you there for them.
+James Arnold Taylor ok thanks for answering and it makes sense going through scales to warm up I did that with band
His faces are golden XD
Interesting channel! Will watch more of you ;) ;)

Toxic mold? Was it sins toxin that got to you?
imagine people walking past looking in like hmm interesting lmao
first
I really hope its Kingdom Hearts 3.
It's not he said at the end he's never played. Any of the characters in the game
+BoukenGreen So how is it not KH3?
+MrJoshura you're right it could be I was assuming he meant any voices in the series which ruled out KH3 because he was Capt. Jack Sparrow in KH2
