The black screen means if an error occurs like opening something while doing something else, it does NOT mean missing files or corrupted BIOS. It happens to me, you just have to unplug and replug it in. It happens a lot on Xbox one s
I got something similar because i was watching youtube on my xbox one s and it crashed so i turned it off and a got black screen and i had to cold reboot it to work
Same thing happens with me if I turn it off the wrong way like being in a laggy Situation and it won’t turn off and just a black screen.

How to format the whole xBox?
Follow these and you'll get a great result!
(only works in wireless controller support xbox)
1- Hold the connect button and on/off button for 40 seconds.
If you get 4 beeps every 10 seconds in the time, the configuration screen will show up.
2- Pick "Reset Xbox"
3- Choose "Reset The System"
4- Select "Done"
5- Wait till it updates and done!
If it don't work, then you will need a factory reset, or contact #XboxSupport for help.
This worked when this happened in my xBox, but it was in a GSoD, so it might not work very well as expected.

The BSoD could appear when you turn off the console during an update. You can fix that by manually installing the update using an USB pen.
Mine did that, but then I realized it was not a failed update or anything. I tried reinstalling the operating system with a system restore USB, but it didn't work. I realized the hard drive failed. I got a new Xbox.

Here’s a lil story:
One time, during summer. My brother was playing Doom Eternal on the family Xbox One. While he was playing, the game froze and the Xbox crashed. We started up the Xbox One again and the same thing happened again (I think). It was really funny and that was one of the first errors we ever got on the Xbox.

Heres my story. I was playing slime rancher on my xbox one project scorpio (A.K.A xbox one x) and out of litterally NOWHERE my console reset . My dad took the system apart to try fix it and found one glaring issue, the thermal paste was COMPLETELY DRY we replaced it and never ramdomly resetted for 2 months straight. I dont think it will have that issue ever again

Heres a few error i just remembered after encountering one that i never seen before myself:
Internet errors
1. Game internet error
(Easy)
Usually happens when an Internet connection is very very slow or is completely lost when on an online game/ app
2. Game start Internet error
(Easy) same with 1st but when starting a game/ app that requires an internet connection
3. Xbox live login error
(Medium)
Happens when you enter your password to login when console has started up and no internet connection can be connected to when it processes the login
4. Console must be online
The one everyone has when you dobt have internet at all and then start the xbox without doing the offline thing. So (easy)

E100 usually means the update on the hard drive is corrupted. the best way ive found to fix this is to enter recovery mode and usb update your xbox. If that doesnt help, it could be related to a BIOS corruption, but ill admit, that is EXTREMELY rare, hope this helps!

the system error codes are hexadecimal. At 2:54, those codes mean 0xE102, 0x10070C02, 0x8B060008

I had this problem to. I did it the same way. I did a factory reset to my Xbox One S (thank god that my data were saved in the cloud) and since then it works like the first time.

Xbox errors are kinda rare unless its just a bad hard drive unlike ps4 literally the only thing ps4 is good or is its games
Ps4 always overheat and crash and can barely run most of its games and have very cheap hardware. The lunch ps4 literally had no room to breath so it overheat then they fixed it but not really with newer models but still overheat and games crashed even more. The slims fan is too small to overheat and games crash. The pro was claimed to support 4k but sony lied and had the worse overheating problems and reports then any other ps4 and crashed ALOT.
I don't know if this counts as an error since nothing is involved with the screen, but I have had this before. Sadly, I didn't tape it.
Something mild may have messed up on the Xbox (One, nothing special) and it won't turn on. Not even the controller, nor Xbox, just a light on the power box. The cause of the error, like I said earlier, unknown, and you have to unplug the box from the console and wall for 10 seconds and plug it back in. It'll turn on like normal. Hopefully I helped/contributed!

I found a new error/glitch. When you open an application and it gives you the “try again later” error, i think very rarely (not sure if its rare or common) it will go to a grey screen after closing the notification and it will stay on the grey screen. Restarting your xbox fixes it though although mine didnt turn off on the first touch for some reason. Also any action on the controller doesnt do anything.

I have had a Bad BSoD I think it's a BIOS Corruption or something I've never had any specific error screen similar to 2:47 area I've had a bad error just today forcing me to do a 10 second restart to get back to my original screen from just loading fortnite which then gave me the BSoD anyway help would be appreciated I'm struggling keeping my Xbox alive I've only had it 3 years I'm looking to change to PS4 or as a game coming in around 2 3 maybe 4 years a new game is coming possibly only PS5 anyway like I said thank you very much everyone please help I really dont know what I need to do for my xbox to keep going at least another 2 years for reason I cant really explain lol so yeah I need some help to keep my Xbox going I dont wanna get no more errors anything like what happened today it was unusual anyway sorry for the very long comment please give me tips thanks bye

USB pen if the BSoD on your Xbox One if you accidently turned off during a update.
1:23 if you're still having this problem it's not hard to solve u just gotta start ur Xbox check if the error is still happening turn off ur console and wait till it stops and then unplug the power cable (the one that keeps it going) take a break from it and continue after 15 mins 5 or 10 mins if this doesn't work ask someone else

On my old Xbox one, I’m still not sure what happened to it but it had a GSoD, then continuously had error messages, then when my dad went to check on it it had a BSoD and we just gave up and got a new Xbox one

At number 2 when you get bSOD you have to factory reset if it does not work you need to disconnect it for one day you get it from the Xbox having a error on the system that shows the screen so its just black

It's easy if you have the original model, but if you have an Xbox One S or Xbox One X, then it's hard to get this error. However, it is really easy to get this error with backwards-compatible Xbox 360 games.
This screen usually appears when your Xbox One starts up with the green screen and you start playing the game once you get to the dashboard. And the error says this:

Not really black screen of dead is acctually simple to fix... just wait until screen saver comes up and then, press xbox button on your controller and highlight home button and press menu and press refresh.

Just do a simple reset: ( AKA with the xbox one powered on, hold down the power button on the console). This will force the console to properly reset without you losing any data.
Idk if I'm too late or anything but if anyone has the black screen of death I recommend you keep the console unplugged, and either just leave it alone for a hour or if you have the patience just hold the power button for 30 seconds and that will be a full reboot. I had that once.
Um edit : It literally open for few seconds and turns off instantly...
