Welcome back, Richest fans! When someone becomes wealthy, one of the first things they do is hire or buy a private jet. After all, if you can avoid the long queues on a commercial flight, do so. With a private plane comes a private pilot, of course. But is there a difference between them and the ones that work for airlines? Well, that’s what we’re going to answer today. We’ll look at all the facts and features of a corporate pilot for the wealthy. From what their job entails, their training, and their potential salary.
Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. Firstly, we start by looking at the roles and responsibilities that a commercial private pilot has. Which includes being a cabin crew and luggage handler! We’ll then see the costs of owning a private plane. Such as the initial price and the maintenance fees. Afterwards, we’ll see how to become a private pilot. Such as the various licenses and training required to take the skies for a career. Even looking at the massive costs of flight schools in the US and abroad! We’ll then see the annual salary of corporate pilots and how that compares to airline pilots. As well as the number of flight hours both have per month. We’ll even see what it takes to ferry the US President as a pilot for Air Force One! Finally, we’ll briefly look at the most expensive unmanned aerial vehicle, also known as a drone, for civilians. The EHang 216!

The caption makes it sounds like the pilot is a billionaire
Everything about this video is a LIE
From the cost of commercial flight training, you would have to be a billionaire to afford the cost of training. The caption was pretty much right.
True That hahahahahahaha
@@timothygeiger8271 the most aviation training will cost you is close to $300 000. It cost about $70 000 to get comme licence. This guy is lying to you guys.
@@jasonMB999 i would say he was still right on. If flight school costs $300,000, you would still need to be a billionaire to afford it!! When the average annual household income is far less than the $300,000 you mentioned, only a billionaire could afford it!!

6:10 - Pilots flying up to 240 hours a month is against Federal Air Regulations. You are typically limited to 100 flying hours in a month.
Yes, maybe they are paid for working hours of 240
Not for private pilots
This video uses the term "private pilot" when it should be using "corporate pilot," which is another type of commercial pilot. A private pilot cannot be paid to fly.
*Yes, somebody commented this as well.*
You must receive a commercial rating to get paid to fly.
You could also use the term “personal pilot”
There are a LOT of errors in this video. I flew dedicated charter and corp for 15 years. We often had a dedicated attendant on anything over 10pax. They're NOT "private" pilots....
Lol, channels like this one, Brightside and whatnot have no idea about anything.
These aren’t “private” pilots. They’re Corporate or possibly Commercial pilots. Private pilot is a specific level of certification. Student, Private, Commercial, ATP. These are certificates or licenses.
Airline vs Corporate or even Airline vs Commercial is much more accurate and way, way less cringeworthy.
Ya definitely commercial
Thank you!!!
Thanks for saying it…this is definitely Airline vs Corporate pilot…
Non aviators wouldn't understand.
Mmhm, ppl(private pilot) aren't allowed to work for money.
A private pilot and a pilot that flies a private plane are two different things -so you cant use those 2 term interchangeably
I must admit..I thought Private Pilots earn a little more than this but of course..their network they establish is priceless!
what useful network do they even establish? Celebrities?
@@Tururu134 Well celebs, useful politicians, high net-worth individuals basically movers and shakers in society.
@@jayinfluencer I mean how do they actually utilise that network, job prospects?

the title should be "Inside The Life Of A Billionaire'S Pilot" cause there is no such thing as "Billionaire Pilot".
- broke pilot ... LOL
only aliens piloting spaceship have more money than that
Kindly Rudy help m achieve my flying dream.
'Naire' in the same sentence as 'pilot' doesn't work out to well
The only "billionaire pilot" is probably the Sultan of Brunei.
lol true. closest us pilots have to billionaire pilots is John Travolta, Harrison ford and Tom Cruise
Thanx for the info
Airline pilots are limited to 100 hours of flight time per month, their monthly credit can be greater. There is a ton of incorrect information in this.
I met a very well-known billionaire private pilot. He was very nice and we had a good conversation.
Fun fact: We randomly find RUclips channels n start to watch them regularly
Literally every day
Haha that's me everyday

Thank you..
Love the vids, no cap.
His videos are hella amazing. If you enjoyed this one then you will definitely enjoy James Asquith YT videos
nice video
Nice video
It’s not private Pilot. Private pilots fly while being unpaid. Commercial pilots fly to get paid. These type of pilot have their CPL(Commercial pilots license) and they are called corporate pilots.
Drove me crazy the entire video.
The level of misinformation
"The cockpit either isn't closed, or isn't there". So, is it very draughty or is it a pilotless aircraft (UAV/Drone). Private pilot, billionaire pilot. What's he talking about? I gave up at 1 min 52secs.
Very Nice!

You just stated a fact here....
Every Rich person is a risk taker, despite how these scammers have made crypto seems I don't joke with investment
I lost $2000 to a scammer recently, I hardly invest , and wouldn't do so until I have seen a sincere person
I know there would some scammer talking bullshit about trading or whatever
Airline pilot here. We are NOT salary. We are paid by flight hour, with a minimum of 72 hours of pay a month regardless. And LEGALLY we cannot fly more than 30 hours/week, 100 hours per month, 1000 hours a year. We do NOT fly 250 hours a month. And your pay is way off.
So cool to be a private jet pilot.
Awesome
This was incorrect. U.S. ATP required 1,500 hours before getting a job as first officer for commuter airlines which started at $30,000.
Student pilot certificate is required as you will not be allowed to solo without it and take the private pilot check ride. Student pilot certificate was previous part of the medical exam certificate.
Surprised with the shootout for Ehang at the end of the video. 😅
The way her pronounces "bombardier"

That sounds like an awesome job!
4:24: Thats hilarious! That FO doesn’t fly a real airplane (the E140/145), but an E175; yet the CPT they’re sitting in front of is for an E145. He was in my hiring class! Wow. That’s cool I know the guy, but why would the company have him promote the company and ATP, if he doesn’t even fly that fleet? Lol.
Thank you for the update, TheRichest..!! 5:50 Wow, that's almost 200k/year. That's good living..!!
Yea it is!
If you go to a local flight school, the money you spend is a lot less than atp flight school
I have always wanted to be a pilot my whole life but I don't have money to pay for my pilot training 😭😭😭😭😭😭
If i have jet private plane for myself, than safety parachutes for every passengers and pilots is must.
You need 1,500 hours to join the airlines. Restricted ATP is 1,000 hours. Student pilots license is basically a drivers permit. But you need to pay a lot more to get that. About 5,000 to 8,000 dollars to receive.
Licenses/Ratings as such for an airline pilot
- Private Pilot License ~40 hours minimum
- Instrument Rating ~40 hours minimum
- Commercial Rating ~250 hours minimum.
- Multi Engine Rating ~25 hours
- Multi Commercial ~25 hours
- ATP Rating ~1,500 hours minimum.
The information in this video is slightly inaccurate, especially in the airline pilot world. The actual statistics vary much greater than mentioned
you cant fly 240 hrs a month, the yearly limit is 900 hrs over the course of the entire yr. the monthly maximum is 100 hrs
Nice video , can you do , *The life of a billionaire child* the son or daughter of a billionaire

same
Me too
Yup
My dad is both a commercial pilot and flys private planes occasionally and I could assure you we are not billionaires 😐

First of all no airlines flies 240 hours a month for airlines the max a pilot could fly doing overtime is 100 hours and average monthly hours worked is 75 hours. Also to fly for an airline you must have 1500 hours, and the airline will pay for your atp training and type rating to fly there jets. Also average pay of a legacy airline pilot is around 200K also various stuff is misinformation
Interesting
I love how he says bombardier he says it bomb ar deer
This man said made by Bomba Dear lol 😆
my uncle is a helicopter pilot so he joined the military and eventually he finished and begin teaching at a university
This reminds me of that we parked our € currency nice and cosey between pound and the dollar Lol. Up until the introduction of the Euro my national currency, the guilder was worth half a dollar on average and the US was very expensive.
Now markets and daily costs have evened out and most parts of the US are affordable travel destinations.
As an airline pilot, you can only legally work 100 hours a month... anyone trying to work 240 hours has no life.
student pilot certificates don't cost a dime. the only cost is the painful prosses of filling out the iacra aplication
@@melamassoud7428 hello
European salaries usually are before tax! Has that been considered in the comparison?
PPL OR CPL WHICH ONE IS BEST
For a video about "Private jets" you sure did show a lot of b777 cockpit footage.. lol
Current ATP school costs 10% more than he stated for those wondering.
1:33 what do you mean the cockpit isnt there? thats a bit concerning...
paid per hour? with some thats also not the case, getting paid a salary and if your lucky, also being allowed to fly aircraft when your guy isn't doing anything with the planes
that is though, only for some. Point is with private pilots, it really can just depend on every factor
It’s required to get an ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot’s License) to work in an airline, not to work as a pilot. To work as a pilot all you need is a commercial pilots license.
You don’t need an atpl to work in an airline, you need an atpl to become a captain in an airline
@@mitchellgreig8442 You DO need it for the airlines. But the airlines will pay for it.
Your page has missed pay on both corporate and airline pay.
Bit confusing to people whom may not know aviation, private pilots are anyone who owns a pilots license that is for personal use. The pilot you are referring to is known as a corporate pilot.
......and thus a commercial pilot.
Pablo Escobar's pilots were the OG billionaire pilots
Hello my early people ❤️
This concludes this "voiceover" audition reel. Private inquiries only...
I guess you can say its flying money
Hahhahahah you are very hilarious. You kinda remind me of James Asquith YT. He does such videos as well
After watching this I'm just thinking, the less problematic job as pilot have to be fly freighter. What do you think?
now i wish i was rich
this is what happens when someone who’s not a pilot tries to talk about being a pilot
They really think someone with barely min hours at 250 will be flying at GulfStream. Haha
Did you just say a student Pilot certificate costs $200? So much incorrect information in this video smh
I am confused if there's a billionaire pilot but you might want to watch James Asquith vlogs, he's honest with his reviews and videos and it's funny at the same time that you will subscribe to his channel automatically because of humor.
“Private pilot” is a non commercial pilot, you’re thinking of a corporate pilot
Also, airlines don’t usually fly 240 hours per month, not sure where that number came from, too much misinformation in a video with a narrator that doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
Thanks for your feedback, for more gudiance , I can link you up to a booster sector

+..1=5=1=2=3=6=4=0=5=3=1,
Absolutely, Jeb. I wish there would be a little more research done before terms like this are bandied about. Causes a bit of confusion with the uninituated. Corporate pilot is of course right.
Airline Transport Pilot* Vs. Corporate/Charter pilot would be more accurate terminology. There’s an important delineation between an “ATP,” “commercial” and “private pilot.” And for the record- if someone ends up working for NetJets or FlexJet they can easily earn just as much, if not, more than someone at the top of the pay scale at a major/legacy carrier (200-300k+). These pay scales that are used by these channels these days are wildly off in the numbers they’re putting out there, and don’t account for soft pay incentives and day rates that often accompany base salaries. So, a base salary for a first year FO at a charter company might be $80,000, but they might get an additional $300-600/day that they fly, in addition to per diem, or incentive pay for extending their rotation beyond their obligatory schedule.
Awesome guys go for it 👍
THUMBS DOWN. Narrator keeps saying "private pilot" when in most cases "commercial pilot" should be the term used. Or perhaps "corporate pilot" would be a better term to use.
Why such a less salary ofna pilot in the UK?
Some of the info in this video is wildly incorrect, also don’t refer to private jet pilots as “private pilots” because that creates some crazy confusion since actual private pilots can’t legally fly for hire
Caption should be 'Inside the life of billionaire's pilot'
The music just is sound overload.
Up to 240 hours of flight time for an airline pilot in one month?? That's a joke! In Europe legal maximum is 100 hours of flight time in 28 consecutive days. Talking about duty time maximum is 190 hours in 28 consecutive days.
Fun fact: In China, some airline captains make $300,000 USD a year
Same in the US
Someone tell me when this channel starts giving credible information

airline pilots work between 80- 120 hours a month, idk where 240 came from.
They could maybe if they are a iternational pilot flying 747, a380
The student pilot certificate is free
Cost at least 25k ha. I wish, more like 50k minimum for everything.
hey!!!!! a "private pilot" is not a pilot that you are describing. Literally and legal- a private pilot is the lowest level of pilot, and that class of pilot cannot be paid for their services.
Right, I think he means “corporate pilot”.
To the person reading this, you're AMAZING! Keep grinding hard for your life goals and remember, dont let anyone bring you down! God bless you :)
Airline pilots are paid hourly and they do not work 240 hours a month
This video is really mixed up and it starts from the title. Too many terms used wrongly and some wrongs stats too.
*When you focus on problems, you will have more problems. When you focus on possibilities you will have more opportunities!!*
Private plane pilots are not called "private pilots" , they'recalled CORPORATE pilots.
