I always loved Robert California. I think the main reason people didn't appreciate him back then was because they were still hung up on Michael's departure and were resistant to any change.

I hope someone can someday track down the 'Halloween ' episode when Robert California narrates a speech about how much we let fear control out lives. It was one of the most brilliant things I have heard.

Let's be honest everyone, USA is not the only American country. Not even the only ones who are a bunch of States United in North America (Mexico is another great example). We are just arrogant self centered douches who wanna think we're the only Americans in the world even tho we stole cultural staples from Latin America, Africans, Carribeans and Europeans. We're not all of America, we're a small part of it and I wish we'd stop referring to USA exclusively as "America" when americana stretches from the top of the Yukon all the way down to Tierra Del Fuego.
Though Michael Scott IS missed, Robert California is my favorite character, besides Stanley on the show. Spader really brought a different flavor to a show that was in some ways suffering post- Carell
