Hey, Adam here! Wanted to weigh in and genuinely apologize to anyone who was offended by my “bribing stunt,” and this is a fair criticism. This may be a little hard to believe, but I’m genuinely a fan of BFDI. Before I had been involved in the show whatsoever, I was a fan first and foremost, and I think seeing Nickel so close to being eliminated had a larger impact on me than it probably should have. At the time, I really saw myself as another fan trying to advocate for his favorite character to stay, but having a layer of separation now… yeah, that’s silly given the circumstances. I’ve definitely learned my lesson in that regard and absolutely won’t be doing anything like this again! Really just a human error on my end, I can admit that. Regardless of Nickel’s fate, I’ll always be a fan and will watch, but I’ll stay out of voting in the show going forward, as to not influence anything! Anyway, just wanted to get that out there. -Adam

Pillow is just annoying. All she cares about is killing; actively disrupting her team from winning. Edit: But I’m not going to harass people and being extra over a cartoon character. Vote to Save is such a great idea in concept, but given the lengths people will go to try to protect cartoon objects with faces, it makes every voting period dreadful. It just turns the votings into "Let's spin the wheel to see who we can write off this time". Seriously, how has Vote to Eliminate been significantly less toxic and botted by comparison?
because it is usually a unanimous agreement that a certain character has done something irredeemable and deserves to be sent off compared to VTS where there is a lot more nuance for why each character deserves to stay

This video is exactly what the BFDI community needs, I can really tell you understand and acknowledge the show’s original intentions, how it's *supposed* to be casual and enjoyed like a fun little treat every other month or so. I used to be pretty involved in this fandom online, from like 2016-20, but after the steady decline of voting-wars and shady shit going on behind the scenes (along with my own run-ins with the absolute toxic sludge of fans), made me step back. I watch a new episode when it comes out, give my single vote, and move on with my life. But hey, Im also an adult with a life, college, hobbies etc. Kids whose major sense of connection, community, and friendships are within the OSC are likely to feel much more passionate about their vote and who they want to win-- like how when I was a kid, I was really passionate about watching the new MLP episode like it was the Superbowl. Things just feel way more important and world-changing when you're young, yknow? So, to have a show where you can directly influence what happens in it? This kind of reaction was bound to happen along with the natural growth of the OSC. Also you did NOT just use that video of Michael for his introduction LMAOO, that caught me off guard. Fun fact, I was in that stream; my username on twitch used to be "serpennnt" and if you look up the clip on r/livestreamfail you'll see me pop up in chat for a second after the accident lol. Anyways, this comment is long enough, thanks for the refreshing OSC content, Im looking forward to what you talk about next!
I like vote to save better then vote to eliminate because nonobjects and mean characters who need development would get targeted but vote to save needs something changed to fix these issues maybe taking down the sites for viewing votes? It's not a great option but it would fix the issue mostly :/

This has always been a topic i had with my friends, I'm a person who prefers vote to eliminate over vote to save, but I can see how both have disadvantages. Btw I really love the video. You have amazing potential, amazing editing, and voice!

I like how you explain how something that could be seen as a fun experience (talking about the voting wars), it's been taken instead on a road where people just take the voting WAY too seriously, to the point where people sent death threats for voting... But they SERIOUSLY, need to stop manipulating and treating other people with excessive death threats or disrespectful throwbacks just bc they didn’t vote a certain character they want safe, it is indeed ridiculous for a show made "for all ages".
It's a good concept but abused by certain people. I mean the whole reason team8s had a vote war Is because coiny got botted enough to overtake everyone in the bottom 4.(I like coiny but it made me pissed)
Voting as a whole is a problem TBH, Vote to Save was good at the start but then it’s biggest problem arose with fan favourites getting tons of votes and underdeveloped/unpopular characters getting screwed because of it. Vote to Eliminate was bad because interesting characters or drama starters were always the targets, while boring characters would float because they didn’t do anything “mean or bad”. The simplest way to fix this issue would be to stop giving the audience the power to eliminate or save someone, and instead go for a prize or advantage system instead, I understand there will be writer’s bias, however TPOT already suffers from this issue, characters like Naily, Foldy or Cake are interesting in one episode (Or none, that being Foldy) but then just get forgotten in later ones which leads to their eliminations, while characters like Pillow or the whole of “Death Pact Again” got so much screentime in the earlier episodes.
Either system has its flaws. Even if they ditched voting altogether to avoid botted voting (and lose a major appeal to their show), there'd still be writer bias, which the audience won't always be satisfied with. I'm pretty sure we've already had writer bais anyway. I haven't watched BFB in a long time, but I remember being pretty pissed at how forced flower's "character development" was, completely turning her into a different person.

I think the main thing about APOY in terms of the voting thing is that when TPOT 9 released, he made multiple community posts and videos in Pillow’s favour (4 videos and 2 community posts to be precise)
Yet that is still not comparable because all APOY did (please tell me if im wrong) was express his opinion on pillow. He never tried to bribe or persuade his fans into voting for her if they didn't like her, he just said he personally liked her.
something i wish you did put in this video is that adam bribed his audience another time back when the season 2 cast voting happened. for context: the voting we see in the start of season 2 episode 1 was actually voted on by viewers on who they wanted to join the show, and if you saw nickel was like top 3. this character we have NO idea on their personality of has like 10k+ votes, how does this happen? adam bribed his audience lol, he even admitted to it in the bfdia comments, you can prob find a video on youtube for a more detailed explanation but yeah. bribing votes for an web series about objects THREE times is crazy.
This. Those websites are what cause vote botters that start vote wars, which makes results too close to tell, which could cause arcs to be cut short, which means they now have to account for that, so long-term arcs probably aren't going to happen from now on. The bracket sites need to go.
this is a good video! i’ve always had an issues with how the votes have been counted recently. it resulted in some of my favorite characters being eliminated that otherwise wouldn’t have. the community is such a mess, too, and more people should realize that. the fact so many people voted to save pillow in the recent episode was kind of crazy. her character is really boring to me, and i need more book content. and you can tell some characters were definitely going places and they couldn’t completely have that story develop because of the voting wars and things turning out differently. doesn’t help that much of the community are kids, or teenagers that will say “vote for [insert characters] and i’ll follow you!”
That’s fair, I’m personally not huge on book (it’s not because of her lack of screentime, I just never found her interesting even with screentime) and love pillow, but I will admit pillow’s fans are absolutely rabid sometimes

I remember talking with you and a bunch of other people during the voting war. I think you're exactly right about the toxicity of the community. There was so much discourse between pillow and anti-pillow fans in #vote-spoilers. The bracket basically ruined the voting, but I'd say it's so much fun to watch the community discuss the voting war. Voting wars like this are the most involved I've been in the BFDI community.
ive been watching bfdi for 12 or so years, and as much as i like the voting style, i am convinced it will 100% be it's downfall. Ive had people get genuinely angry at me for the characters ive voted, and its kinda upsetting
I just wish they brought back the original voting method cause you have characters like Fries, Balloony, and Cloudy getting voted off of useless people like Yellow Face, Rocky, and Pillow
@@MalrusOSC I've seen people say that contestants votes don't "fit" the style of show of bfdi, and i'm thinking they believe that only because the contestants votes in the first season were done so terribly (ice cube's elimination comes to mind)
I think the best way to solve this is to get rid of the vote trackers. There was a similar vote war between Katniss and Trish for an MTV contest, and the fans for each character got invested to an unhealthy degree. I'm willing to bet that the votes being visible for that contest was the main reason for this. I doubt they could all be scrubbed completely, but people can probably discourage fans from using them at the very least.
maybe use a separate website (e.g. Google Forms) instead of comments, It's harder to track a private form vote since they're not visible to the public like youtube comments

To be fair, The Huang Twins have done the same thing as adam, just not on object shows. They have influenced their audience to vote for some different forums, like the Vote for Yoylecake thing. They also asked their audience to vote for bfdi in fictional voting competitions. Thing is like im not saying this is far worse than what adam did but like they too tried to persaude ppl into voting before.
But thats like... the point of those competitions? Like when you run for president you dont just sit inside your home, drinking tea and thinking about "why do dogs hate cats" or some other stuff. Its the other competitors fault they didnt talk to their community about these.
Hello, I am CNNM, one of the people involved in the voting war to try and get Pillow out. I just wanted to say I regret being involved in the voting war, and I apologize to all the Pillow fans and people who got involved. When I was shown in this video, I was embarrassed on my past behavior. I just wanted to make an apology, because I was hating on people for voting Pillow to be safe. I didn't know getting involved in the voting war means not only embarrassment, but also consequences. I want to say I'm sorry for what I've done in the voting war.
I mean Derpy "Adam's Cousin" Hooves made Teardrop get eliminated to save Coiny, who happens to be the character that Adam based Nickel on. Now around ten years later Adam Katz tries leveraging his own shows popularity and bribing with merchandise to keep Nickel in the game. Time really is a flat circle. (Also did people seriously try and compare Adam bribing his fans to APOY making a video about a character he liked?)
they actually changed the voting. it makes me really happy that we arent able to see votes now and that they actually listened. thats one of the reasons why i like bfdi so much :) the episode was so good too.

its insane how a character can go from a fan favourite to forgotten in the span of 2 episodes. we saw what happened with someone like remote, who had racked up 10000 votes in episode 1, just to get eliminated with half of that. she went from a fan favourite to being forgotten. point is, people we assume will make it far obviously wont, such as coiny and puffball. but, thats what makes vote to save good in my opinion. people who usually wouldnt get the spotlight such as gaty and needle. also really liked this video! earnt a subscriber!
On one hand, vote to save is really helpful, giving characters time to develop like the before mentioned GOAT, but on the other hand, it really screws over a lot of other great characters, like, 2 of my top 3 favorite characters got eliminated in 1 EPISODE, but at the end of the day, these are just animated inanimate objects, no need to bribe people or send death threats, its just a freakin Golfball with legs and face. (btw, i recommend to slightly increase the volume of your voice in these videos)

I was shocked when I realized this is only your second video and it's this good! Very well-put together and pretty much echoes a lot of my concerns with TPOT's voting system. I genuinely wish voting was done on Google Forms or somewhere where the votes are private because it really does take the fun out of the show. I've been in the OSC since 2012/2013 and I remember getting so excited for new episodes of BFDIA, mainly because I didn't know who would go! Along with the rampant vote botting, I really do hope something gets changed in TPOT or at the very least in Season 6.
I think that one of the reasons that made people want Pillow out so much here in this specific elimination was because she has always been a fan favorite, in every elimination that she was before TPOT 9, she was always the first one safe from her team by getting the most votes, since even though she has been hated since early TPOT, she also has a pretty sizeable fanbase which would always keep her safe, and in TPOT 9, she was for the first time caught in a vote war which could get eliminated, by seeing this, people who hated her started shouting that it "finally was our chance to get her eliminated!", since she was not far from being at the bottom and many times during all this she was briefly the one of the least votes, it was like an once in a lifetime thing. Personally, that was an important reason for why the hate for her blew up so much here, even with her hate, she has always been secure, so this event was rare and wanted by a lot of people.
Another reason is that this feels like the climax of her massacre in TPOT. All her killing justified with the excuse that “according to my research” teams that revolve themselves around death are much more successful than ones that ignore it or avoid it culminated in her murdering her team.
I didn’t know that there was so much controversy behind voting on BFB. But it would explain why jacknjellify made a video saying keeping BFDI casual. Honestly great video of the insight on the whole situation, its crazy to see the situation of voting.

It goes into a lot of detail about the issues in the community and states the main issue with vote to save perfectly. Also love the editing style, kept me engaged the entire time! Great video!

I'm pretty sure D.E.A.T.H. Pact Again's drama is still going on. There have been two episodes since Fanny's retaliation in TPOT 7, and those two episodes have still shown some inner issues in DPA, just less intense because not every episode can have something big happen in DPA.
"I've been watching this for twelve years man..." ...what I now think when I notice staged introductions to character arcs. I do love this show and started watching early first season, and the idea of it is so novel. I see more cracks every episode though, between voting, the episode-by-episode writing, and a lack of character depth. Season 4a's lava episodes were amazing because they added character moments 1. in relation to what was happening and 2. in addition to BFDI meta humor. Not the shoo-in development occurring just before a challenge or the non-meta equivalent of Bomby's lines in IDFB, but each character having a moment true to their character. Can I tell you what each character on Team8s did during that plate challenge? No, and I only remember what Just Not and the ocean gorge teams did in that episode. I can tell you what each character on BEEP, iance, and Death PACT did during the lava challenge, despite each team competing among their teammates for screen time. The lava episodes were only 2-3 in number, but spreading character personality over that longer period of time helped so much. Compare that episode's Taco-Book storyline to early BFB's Taco-Book storyline. In the early season, the scenes appear so disjointed. In the imposter challenge, Book's outrage at Taco disappearing fades in and out of the episode as their team's POV fades in and out. Their active story wasn't planned in advance of the episode, despite it seeming 'important.' And, despite their team not being up for elimination anytime soon, the writing didn't want to deepen the storyline in case it was cut early. How can this be fixed? Honestly, just plan more episodes out at a time. Decide which teams are up for elimination before you even know who's going to be out by then. Take the time to roadmap arcs over that period of time, and if an elimination is going to potentially impede an arc, do what you did for Clock. It was clear his elimination was setting a precedent on eliminating a character still in an arc. AKA get a producer behind the scenes.
tbh yeah even with several characters i like that has gotten eliminated, i do think them not having a rejoin or at least not a voting style rejoin would be for the best@@nathanterho-streck5546 hell might even be best to change the elimination style as a contestant vote even, may be

6:13 I agree so much, in BFB we clearly had arcs being set up for Match, 8 Ball, Liy and then they just GO AWAY? I'm so glad the save the character format is a thing so characters that have arcs can survive.
Honestly, Adam rigging the election so coiny doesn’t get emiminated in BFDIA was honestly for the best. Coiny was a much more interesting character than teardrop at the time, who never talked. Meanwhile coiny and Pin’s friendship became one of the best parts of the show. Their coleadership is honestly something never seen anywhere else except for MAYBE golfball and tennis ball, who are both often not listened to.
Well my comment aged poorly, as did with this video since not only was the teams of bfdia disbanded into new teams, but the way voting is done has changed once again. Still if I could change one thing of what I said, I would say that rather than blatant rigging and vote manipulation, a video where you give your opinion and argument on why X contestant should stay/be eliminated would be more good than a video where you just bribe people to vote for x contestant.
I'm not nearly as deep into object shows as I used to be, but I've had similar thoughts to you about viewer voting on these shows for a while now. This was a well-made video; best of luck if you continue with this.
i honestly believe they should just make their own website and then have zero way for people to see votes except for their own, it will be a bit worse preforming but just like the bfdia voting it doesnt deter people from clicking on an another link. plus this will be much easier to sort out bots since these websites usually have ways of sorting them out unlike what youtube has.
It looks to me as if they saw the criticism and took it, cause at the end of TPOT 10 they had us use a Google Form instead of anyway that could be easily traced. I could be wrong, tho.

really high quality video, thought this was from some larger channel for a second lol i do agree that the voting scene in general for TPOT episodes nowadays has become really overblown. i usually don't have time to watch or vote on episodes on time, but recently after every new episode i get recommended a lot of posts and videos on the voting scene, as well as TPOT voting results only hours after the deadline i guess i don't really fully understand the investment in heavily monitoring the votes. i actually kind of miss it way back when BFDI was still very young, back then i always enjoyed the surprise of the results or what's to come in the next video. for me personally, i would say attempting to expect or influence the votes kind of ruins the excitement behind the show in the first place edit: typo also wanted to add that i'm also kind of glad this is being talked about, i've been definitely feeling something about the voting scene for a while now but the topic is usually more in the background

In my personal experience (as well as some friends) I have never one partook in a vote war. Usually because I like several characters and choosing one is hard, but also because it's extremely meaningless when the majority of the fan favourites already have so much screen time so you could just go back and watch older episodes.
i never knew there was a war between them, im glad i never been on any one, i love bfdi and i think puffball is my favorite character for her personality of agressivity and judgement upon everyone. but i actually cant difference all the characters personallity, i dont mean they are the same but, there are so many of them is hard to choice wich one is better
[BED] and [BAD] were both completely destructive during this vote war, and I am actually close to [BAD]’s founder, this video really puts me to think about the situation a lot.
It's a good thing I'm not over-dramatic about the voting. I feel suspense when watching the votes be presented in an episode, but it's not something I take very personally. I have no reason to engage in activity involving swaying votes, but much like APOY, I'd be happy to share my thoughts or "evaluations" about characters, which is fine. Great video. 👍

Vote to Save is such a great idea in concept, but given the lengths people will go to try to protect cartoon objects with faces, it makes every voting period dreadful. It just turns the votings into "Let's spin the wheel to see who we can write off this time".

because it is usually a unanimous agreement that a certain character has done something irredeemable and deserves to be sent off

This video is exactly what the BFDI community needs, I can really tell you understand and acknowledge the show’s original intentions, how it's *supposed* to be casual and enjoyed like a fun little treat every other month or so. I used to be pretty involved in this fandom online, from like 2016-20, but after the steady decline of voting-wars and shady shit going on behind the scenes (along with my own run-ins with the absolute toxic sludge of fans), made me step back. I watch a new episode when it comes out, give my single vote, and move on with my life. But hey, Im also an adult with a life, college, hobbies etc. Kids whose major sense of connection, community, and friendships are within the OSC are likely to feel much more passionate about their vote and who they want to win-- like how when I was a kid, I was really passionate about watching the new MLP episode like it was the Superbowl. Things just feel way more important and world-changing when you're young, yknow? So, to have a show where you can directly influence what happens in it? This kind of reaction was bound to happen along with the natural growth of the OSC.
Also you did NOT just use that video of Michael for his introduction LMAOO, that caught me off guard. I like vote to save better then vote to eliminate because nonobjects and mean characters who need development would get targeted but vote to save needs something changed to fix these issues maybe taking down the sites for viewing votes? It's not a great option but it would fix the issue mostly :/

It's a good concept but abused by certain people. I mean the whole reason team8s had a vote war Is because coiny got botted enough to overtake everyone in the bottom 4.(I like coiny but it made me pissed)
Voting as a whole is a problem TBH, Vote to Save was good at the start but then it’s biggest problem arose with fan favourites getting tons of votes and underdeveloped/unpopular characters getting screwed because of it.
Vote to Eliminate was bad because interesting characters or drama starters were always the targets, while boring characters would float because they didn’t do anything “mean or bad”.
The simplest way to fix this issue would be to stop giving the audience the power to eliminate or save someone, and instead go for a prize or advantage system instead, I understand there will be writer’s bias, however TPOT already suffers from this issue, characters like Naily, Foldy or Cake are interesting in one episode (Or none, that being Foldy) but then just get forgotten in later ones which leads to their eliminations, while characters like Pillow or the whole of “Death Pact Again” got so much screentime in the earlier episodes.
Either system has its flaws. Even if they ditched voting altogether to avoid botted voting (and lose a major appeal to their show), there'd still be writer bias, which the audience won't always be satisfied with.
I'm pretty sure we've already had writer bais anyway. I haven't watched BFB in a long time, but I remember being pretty pissed at how forced flower's "character development" was, completely turning her into a different person.

I think the main thing about APOY in terms of the voting thing is that when TPOT 9 released, he made multiple community posts and videos in Pillow’s favour (4 videos and 2 community posts to be precise)
Same with GiantSnowball who incited evryone voting Foldy in TPOT 2.
Yet that is still not comparable because all APOY did (please tell me if im wrong) was express his opinion on pillow. He never tried to bribe or persuade his fans into voting for her if they didn't like her, he just said he personally liked her.

something i wish you did put in this video is that adam bribed his audience another time back when the season 2 cast voting happened.
for context: the voting we see in the start of season 2 episode 1 was actually voted on by viewers on who they wanted to join the show, and if you saw nickel was like top 3.

This. Those websites are what cause vote botters that start vote wars, which makes results too close to tell, which could cause arcs to be cut short, which means they now have to account for that, so long-term arcs probably aren't going to happen from now on. The bracket sites need to go.

this is a good video! i’ve always had an issues with how the votes have been counted recently. it resulted in some of my favorite characters being eliminated that otherwise wouldn’t have. the community is such a mess, too, and more people should realize that. the fact so many people voted to save pillow in the recent episode was kind of crazy. her character is really boring to me, and i need more book content. and you can tell some characters were definitely going places and they couldn’t completely have that story develop because of the voting wars and things turning out differently. doesn’t help that much of the community are kids, or teenagers that will say “vote for [insert characters] and i’ll follow you!”
That’s fair, I’m personally not huge on book (it’s not because of her lack of screentime, I just never found her interesting even with screentime) and love pillow, but I will admit pillow’s fans are absolutely rabid sometimes

I remember talking with you and a bunch of other people during the voting war. I think you're exactly right about the toxicity of the community. There was so much discourse between pillow and anti-pillow fans in #vote-spoilers. The bracket basically ruined the voting, but I'd say it's so much fun to watch the community discuss the voting war. Voting wars like this are the most involved I've been in the BFDI community.

I think the best way to solve this is to get rid of the vote trackers. There was a similar vote war between Katniss and Trish for an MTV contest, and the fans for each character got invested to an unhealthy degree. I'm willing to bet that the votes being visible for that contest was the main reason for this. I doubt they could all be scrubbed completely, but people can probably discourage fans from using them at the very least.
maybe use a separate website (e.g. Google Forms) instead of comments, It's harder to track a private form vote since they're not visible to the public like youtube comments

Now around ten years later Adam Katz tries leveraging his own shows popularity and bribing with merchandise to keep Nickel in the game. Time really is a flat circle.

On one hand, vote to save is really helpful, giving characters time to develop like the before mentioned GOAT, but on the other hand, it really screws over a lot of other great characters, like, 2 of my top 3 favorite characters got eliminated in 1 EPISODE, but at the end of the day, these are just animated inanimate objects, no need to bribe people or send death threats, its just a freakin Golfball with legs and face. (btw, i recommend to slightly increase the volume of your voice in these videos)

Very well-put together and pretty much echoes a lot of my concerns with TPOT's voting system. I genuinely wish voting was done on Google Forms or somewhere where the votes are private because it really does take the fun out of the show.
I've been in the OSC since 2012/2013 and I remember getting so excited for new episodes of BFDIA, mainly because I didn't know who would go! Along with the rampant vote botting, I really do hope something gets changed in TPOT or at the very least in Season 6.

I think that one of the reasons that made people want Pillow out so much here in this specific elimination was because she has always been a fan favorite, in every elimination that she was before TPOT 9, she was always the first one safe from her team by getting the most votes, since even though she has been hated since early TPOT, she also has a pretty sizeable fanbase which would always keep her safe, and in TPOT 9, she was for the first time caught in a vote war which could get eliminated, by seeing this, people who hated her started shouting that it "finally was our chance to get her eliminated!", since she was not far from being at the bottom and many times during all this she was briefly the one of the least votes, it was like an once in a lifetime thing.
Personally, that was an important reason for why the hate for her blew up so much here, even with her hate, she has always been secure, so this event was rare and wanted by a lot of people.
Another reason is that this feels like the climax of her massacre in TPOT. All her killing justified with the excuse that “according to my research” teams that revolve themselves around death are much more successful than ones that ignore it or avoid it culminated in her murdering her team.
I didn’t know that there was so much controversy behind voting on BFB. But it would explain why jacknjellify made a video saying keeping BFDI casual. Honestly great video of the insight on the whole situation, its crazy to see the situation of voting.

I'm pretty sure D.E.A.T.H. Pact Again's drama is still going on. There have been two episodes since Fanny's retaliation in TPOT 7, and those two episodes have still shown some inner issues in DPA, just less intense because not every episode can have something big happen in DPA.

I do love this show and started watching early first season, and the idea of it is so novel. I see more cracks every episode though, between voting, the episode-by-episode writing, and a lack of character depth. Season 4a's lava episodes were amazing because they added character moments 1. in relation to what was happening and 2. in addition to BFDI meta humor. Not the shoo-in development occurring just before a challenge or the non-meta equivalent of Bomby's lines in IDFB, but each character having a moment true to their character.
Can I tell you what each character on Team8s did during that plate challenge? No, and I only remember what Just Not and the ocean gorge teams did in that episode. I can tell you what each character on BEEP, iance, and Death PACT did during the lava challenge, despite each team competing among their teammates for screen time. The lava episodes were only 2-3 in number, but spreading character personality over that longer period of time helped so much.
Compare that episode's Taco-Book storyline to early BFB's Taco-Book storyline. In the early season, the scenes appear so disjointed. In the imposter challenge, Book's outrage at Taco disappearing fades in and out of the episode as their team's POV fades in and out. Their active story wasn't planned in advance of the episode, despite it seeming 'important.' And, despite their team not being up for elimination anytime soon, the writing didn't want to deepen the storyline in case it was cut early.
How can this be fixed? Honestly, just plan more episodes out at a time. Decide which teams are up for elimination before you even know who's going to be out by then. Take the time to roadmap arcs over that period of time, and if an elimination is going to potentially impede an arc, do what you did for Clock. It was clear his elimination was setting a precedent on eliminating a character still in an arc. AKA get a producer behind the scenes.

Honestly, Adam rigging the election so coiny doesn’t get emiminated in BFDIA was honestly for the best. Coiny was a much more interesting character than teardrop at the time, who never talked. Meanwhile coiny and Pin’s friendship became one of the best parts of the show. Their coleadership is honestly something never seen anywhere else except for MAYBE golfball and tennis ball, who are both often not listened to.
I agree, however. Its still the fact how a chill web show, has evolved into people manipulating each other to keep a virtual character in.

Well my comment aged poorly, as did with this video since not only was the teams of bfdia disbanded into new teams, but the way voting is done has changed once again.
Still if I could change one thing of what I said, I would say that rather than blatant rigging and vote manipulation, a video where you give your opinion and argument on why X contestant should stay/be eliminated would be more good than a video where you just bribe people to vote for x contestant.
I'm not nearly as deep into object shows as I used to be, but I've had similar thoughts to you about viewer voting on these shows for a while now. This was a well-made video; best of luck if you continue with this.

i honestly believe they should just make their own website and then have zero way for people to see votes except for their own, it will be a bit worse preforming but just like the bfdia voting it doesnt deter people from clicking on an another link. plus this will be much easier to sort out bots since these websites usually have ways of sorting them out unlike what youtube has.

i do agree that the voting scene in general for TPOT episodes nowadays has become really overblown. i usually don't have time to watch or vote on episodes on time, but recently after every new episode i get recommended a lot of posts and videos on the voting scene, as well as TPOT voting results only hours after the deadline
i guess i don't really fully understand the investment in heavily monitoring the votes. i actually kind of miss it way back when BFDI was still very young, back then i always enjoyed the surprise of the results or what's to come in the next video. for me personally, i would say attempting to expect or influence the votes kind of ruins the excitement behind the show in the first place

In my personal experience (as well as some friends) I have never one partook in a vote war. Usually because I like several characters and choosing one is hard, but also because it's extremely meaningless when the majority of the fan favourites already have so much screen time so you could just go back and watch older episodes.
i never knew there was a war between them, im glad i never been on any one, i love bfdi and i think puffball is my favorite character for her personality of agressivity and judgement upon everyone.
but i actually cant difference all the characters personallity, i dont mean they are the same but, there are so many of them is hard to choice wich one is better

It's a good thing I'm not over-dramatic about the voting. I feel suspense when watching the votes be presented in an episode, but it's not something I take very personally. I have no reason to engage in activity involving swaying votes, but much like APOY, I'd be happy to share my thoughts or "evaluations" about characters, which is fine. Great video. 👍
