My thoughts exactly. In BFDI, Flower got out first because shes a mean character, its KARMA. These characters in TPOT can do bad things, and get away scot free!!! Once a pillow hater, always a pillow hater. I dont care if she "has good character", SHE'S ANNOYING
I actually vote to save on a character i like who i think might be in danger. but it doesn't even matter when contestants like bomby and gaty get lots of votes to getting eliminated a few episodes after, tpot eliminations are so unpredictable and weve lost characters that can actually get development to keep one dimensional characters like grassy.
Honestly even if it’s the entire thing that makes the show unique I think they should just do contestant eliminations like TDI and II. With Clock and Gaty they put them in the kitchen to still give them character development which isn’t that bad of a solution, but I still think contestant elimination would be a bit better.
vote to eliminate isn't much better, idk why nobody brought this up yet but what happened with Leafy in BFB 2 looks a lot like it was supposed to be setting up an arc, when Leafy got eliminated that arc ended pretty much immediately, also I mention this a lot but when Match got eliminated she had already apologized for her actions _the episode before_ and the viewers decided to vote her out anyways because "sHe wAS mEaN", perhaps the viewers shouldn't have so much control over who gets eliminated?
this is the reason why Pillow is still in the game. She isnt that useful and usually is the reason why the team loses the challenges. Even robot flower in tpot 7-13. Its as if they like meaner characters because they are either shipped or just oh! We like them because they practically did nothing and get more screen time!
kinda obvious but ima say it The reason why most (including me) prefer VTE is that it's much harder to have a character get carried, for lack of a better word. It's much easier to get a buncha pillow fans to vote for pillow so theyre safe than to get a buncha pillow fans to vote nickel, or something. Its harder to screw with the results and contributes to a better playing experience. I feel that, for example, pencil might not have been eliminated in VTS in BFB 2 since she was a well-liked character in bfdi and bfdia. Its just annoying. Pillow comes up often in convos about BFDI voting, as her performance in TPOT 9 was really bad, and still being here instead of getting eliminated showed VTE's shortcomings, as instead of being eliminated for doing the worst, its for doing the least. The difference is that the latter is simply much worse from a voting standpoint.
not even in tpot this happens, in bfb dora got eliminated even tho she carried [insert team name] in most of their episodes like bfb 2, 11 and 6 and since she wasn't in the abandoning arc and because the writers wanted to save book, she was eliminated.
a character doing well at challenges means literally nothing about the character. Dora was a such a nothingburger at the time she got eliminated first off her team twice. If all Needle did was win challenges would she have half the fan base she does?
Perhaps the reason characters that people like are doing good with vote to save, is because vote to save is about voting the characters you want to stay in the competion, you know, the characters you like?
Seriously, vote to save is awful, the actually GOOD characters get eliminated (like Remote and Coiny), while the most ANNOYING characters (like Yellow face and Pillow) stay in because people are for some reason OBSESSED with them. They seriously need to bring back vote to eliminate.
Only issue is if one of the contestants aren't involved in some form of drama, they'll most likely just get voted out even if they help their team win. Just look at what happened to Dora in BFB
I think Stapy is the perfect example of why vote to eliminate works. He’s a chill guy and pretty nice, but voters WILL crack down on those responsible for a loss, as seen by Puffball over a decade ago. This is coming from someone who loves mean characters like Pencil & Match, Snowball, and Golf Ball, as well as someone who likes non-object characters like Roboty and Dora. Vote to save does have its advantages, as it allows voters to save those mean characters that don’t deserve to get out from younger voters who see them one-dimensionally. Same with Non-Objects. Dora carried Bleh for several episodes and voters went “Non-Object? DEATH PENALTY.” which sucks. I’d still say vote to eliminate wins out over vote to save because of your reasons alongside the fact that at least with eliminate voting the person will most likely deserve it (except for non-objects). At least Golf Ball is considered mean and demanding when she got out in BFDIA 14, losses like Eraser and Coiny left with no rhyme or reason. I don’t believe in voting out GB in BFDIA, but at least there’s an argument to it. Plus, the more “boring” characters will get snuffed out anyway: BFB 5 tracks with TPOT 2, as Pie was second to last and then last. It makes voting a lot less personal and removes voting power. When you vote to eliminate, you’re technically voting to save everyone else.
I honestly disagree. Vote to save has caused some pretty bad eliminations in TPOT but I think that was a result of vote botting which isn't as much as a problem anymore due to the voting being in a google poll now, but anyways my point is that characters CAN get a bigger voterbase by doing substantial things in episodes. Just for an example, Fanny was in the bottom two twice and now due to her development she's one of the most voted characters. Same with Robot Flower, she's not a very popular character but she got a lot of votes in TPOT 13 due to her big role in that episode. I agree with a lot of things in this video, yeah VTS is partially a popularity contest, but I don't think that's all it is.
Just a reminder that leafy got the first boot from her team back when VTE was being used But what happened in Post-split? SHE LITERALLY GOT ONTO THE FINAL 5 (keep in mind that post-split uses VTS instead of VTE) I do kinda understand the difference between both voting systems. (I can conclude that VTE is way better by a mile)
Contestant vote is just the best It lets the characters actually decide their fate in the game Let's easily creating arcs and conflicts Makes it so smart characters like Golf Ball actually have an advantage somewhere And also lets the authors controll their own show, and write it the way they see it
I honestly think this is a double edged sword. Yeah it can possibly make the arcs better, but it can take away the charm of object shows. Without viewer votings, Object shows would just be another competition show with objects as the main characters. Heck they probably wouldn’t even be as popular as they are now without them. Not saying contestant votes should’ve never be a thing, but only having them would remove the magic of object shows IMO.
@@kirbyfan2088 Well even though i do see your point Seeing how much better Inanimate Insanity became when they switched the voting format, and the amazingness of Total Drama I think the plot is just a lot more interesting when contestants can ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING other then challenges, and characters like Pillow or Grassy don't stay for too long The positives of contestant vote are just too high compared to it's negatives(which barely exist) Contestant vote is just a win
@ yeah I can see that, as I do think contestant votes can be really great in competition shows. (Even if they can still go wrong when writing is still a concern). Voting is just an extremely hard thing to get right. Granted my main point was uniqueness, but that can go a long way for a series.
@@kirbyfan2088 i dont think the magic of object shows is based around viewer vote and inanimate insanity is a shining example of that considering that they have an entire season with contestant vote and it still has very cartoony characteristics that wouldn't exist in a competition show like survivor or even total drama island i think their identity comes mostly from the humor, characters, and world building rather than the system by which people are eliminated even object shows that arent competition based (i.e. no vote at all like love of the s*n) do have a sense of an identity with what it is to be an object show so I don't agree that taking away viewer vote can get rid of the charm from an object show

Mistakes: remote got eliminated in tpot 5 so how could she do anything in tpot 8? And saw got eliminated in tpot 4 not tpot 5 Sorry if I sound like a nerd lol
Tpot 8 & 9 have got be one of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen I’m my life. The eliminations were a huge problem and I will explain why starting with puffball. *Puffball:* Puffball was doing very well through out the season. Especially with fries, I was very upset to see him go but at lest she had the spot light for some time, but as soon as tpot 8 came out the balance beam challenge was probably one of the stupidest decisions considering the fact that the show literally had flying contestants. One episode later she gets eliminated just for not being able to complete. I don’t mind puffball getting out but that has got to be one of the worst ways that she could be eliminated. *Coiny:* He usually carries his team most of the time in the show like how in tpot 2 he suggested that his team should stack the blocks with glue. I found that a very good idea especially when it wasn’t against the rules so yeah he was doing just fine *Until tpot 8* Honestly the creators of tpot could have done so much with him this episode but no, just no. All they did was give him 30 seconds of screen time in literally a 30 minute episode. Next episode he gets eliminated for what? Just for not having the spotlight. I have so many questions to both puffball and Coiny’s eliminations *First of all:* What made them think it was a good idea to use the balance beam for the episode challenge when there are clearly better challenge ideas than that!? *Second of all:* Why the hell do fan favorites keep getting eliminated just for not doing well in challenges, not having the spot light or not being popular enough. Tell me, does this make 100% sense? *I THINK NOT!* *Third of all (Mainly for puffball):* The creators were very senseless with the 8th of tpot. Many fans thought puffball would have a huge role. That’s why they were so hyped, but it was just *CRUMBLED TO BITS!* Not only were they stupid enough to pick a challenge for that specific episode of tpot when puffball clearly cannot participate in because they can fly but they also put her whole team up for elimination which destroy all chances of survival. That’s stupid! *Fourth and last part of all (Mainly for Coiny):* Do not even get me started on this crap. In the beginning he is master but in tpot 8 he doesn’t do so hot. *HEY!* You do know that’s dumb right. Extremely dumb! *FIRE DUMB!* Especially when he didn’t get any screen time after this but Gaty did! HOW COME GATY GETS A SCENE AFTER SHE GETS KNOCKED OUT BUT COINY DOSENT!? This is not ment to bring hate towards Gaty but this is just bull crap. Then they have the audacity to *STILL* screw him over after he got out. *HEY!* If this happens to basketball in episode 15 then tpot might be worse than Bfb post split.
Eraser, puffball, lightning should have stayed they were literally some of the best characters in TPOT plot wise, ppl need to stop saving characters like TV and pillow, etc and think who’d be the best winner
It shouldnt be who plays the best, because thats subjective. VTS allows mean characters to stay. Look at the bfdi final 6 before flower joined. It was all made of nice characters who never did anything bad (except leafy) Compare this to bfb pre split, where by the final 6 (before profily) we had a good split of nice and mean. VTS isnt bad, its just how some characters get out after being good
egggggggggggggggggggggy also how is there more donut fans then coiny fans?!??!?! I know lots of people like pin so I can just vote someone else knowing she's prob safe she's my fav but i feel like im gonna change my fav character soon maybe pie
Yeah you say this until we get an infinity worse elimination order with Vote to Eliminate where all the good and interesting characters either get setup or die first, and not even ones where it would be for the better like Coiny’s was 🥱 Don’t even try to use the Contestant Vote excuse because not only would that not work in BFDI, it kinda defeats the point of the show
"saw was one of the most useful team players, always willing to take on challenges" she didnt do anything in tpot unless you count her teammates using her as a tool in every episode she competes i don't find bell interesting, the thing her string is attached to is scarcely mentioned and the show doesn't seem to want to answer it, her getting out over rf was def good for rf's storyline
I do sorta agree SOMETIMES, but you all seem to just be upset over your untouchable favourites getting out. I personally enjoy unpredictability in a season, it makes it far more engaging. You’re only saying that it’s being ruined just because you’re mad that characters you like are out/at risk, something us fans of underrated characters are more so glad about, as it gives our favourite a chance. It also sounds like you’re a Pillow hater, and thus want VTE to get out characters you view as “bad”, which yet again, is opinionated and the show it’s being objectively ruined by it. (Not a Pillow fan btw) Unfortunately not many will agree with me, since well, the characters are popular, so you’ll be on the “BOOO! THIS SUCKS! HOW DARE YOU LET A SEASON NOT BE PREDICTABLE !” side. Also side note, every example you used was from when TPOT didn’t have poll voting, most examples you use are a result of voting wars, an issue that was solved.
That still makes it suck tho, cuz now forever characters were robbed thanks to the voting wars, maybe it’s fixed now, but certain characters will never get their time to shine thanks to that method, Soo I can kinda see the hatred for the VTS system still
ill be the one to say it... grassy is way too overrated. he doesn't even do that much anymore, and the only thing semi-interesting is his friendship with snowball, which doesn't even make that much sense. yet he'll probably make it to top 10 (or possibly top 5) because he's "cute"... right...

yeah I’ll agree, the best way to solve this is dual voting (people get a vote to save and to eliminate)
That sounds too complicated imo, I think VTE is the best but that’s just my opinion
@@Objectcubedbfdia does this perfectly

TPOT VOTE TO SAVE IS AWE-
My thoughts exactly. In BFDI, Flower got out first because shes a mean character, its KARMA. These characters in TPOT can do bad things, and get away scot free!!!

i have thought of this for a long time now
I actually vote to save on a character i like who i think might be in danger. but it doesn't even matter when contestants like bomby and gaty get lots of votes to getting eliminated a few episodes after, tpot eliminations are so unpredictable and weve lost characters that can actually get development to keep one dimensional characters like grassy.
and i think they should stop the double eliminations now aswell
@@BattleOfColors I mean, I get everything else, but there's like 60+ contestants, that'd probably be too many episodes
@@greaterthan-colon-three but at this point of the game, they should stop.
grassy is actually good, he has a relationship with snowball and he literally made his team win
@@cloudyfromtpotreal this "potential" only happens for a few episodes
I think they didn't want people getting mad that they're favorite character was getting hate. And vice versa
Honestly even if it’s the entire thing that makes the show unique I think they should just do contestant eliminations like TDI and II. With Clock and Gaty they put them in the kitchen to still give them character development which isn’t that bad of a solution, but I still think contestant elimination would be a bit better.
vote to eliminate isn't much better, idk why nobody brought this up yet but what happened with Leafy in BFB 2 looks a lot like it was supposed to be setting up an arc, when Leafy got eliminated that arc ended pretty much immediately, also I mention this a lot but when Match got eliminated she had already apologized for her actions _the episode before_ and the viewers decided to vote her out anyways because "sHe wAS mEaN", perhaps the viewers shouldn't have so much control over who gets eliminated?
i agree. it kinda is actually.
0:41 fr, it's not like there were two teams up for elimination and the voters had only one vote at the time smh.
bro saw was literally so annoying with her screaming 8 little thing
Don’t blame the fans, blame the writers they ruined her
It makes things even more polarized 😭
Saw is SO overh8ED
this is the reason why Pillow is still in the game. She isnt that useful and usually is the reason why the team loses the challenges. Even robot flower in tpot 7-13. Its as if they like meaner characters because they are either shipped or just oh! We like them because they practically did nothing and get more screen time!
kinda obvious but ima say it
The reason why most (including me) prefer VTE is that it's much harder to have a character get carried, for lack of a better word.
UGH I LOVE DORA
@@Ribbitalyou do realize Dora became more popular then needle right? Not to mention your reasoning sucks
@@RibbitalIt means a lot actually, we are talking about a joke character, a joke character who's actually doing something for her team.
I really loved tpot 14. But I love both Needle and Barf Bag and I don't think they deserved to be eleminated.
Agreed some people are getting beacause of one episode
Perhaps the reason characters that people like are doing good with vote to save, is because vote to save is about voting the characters you want to stay in the competion, you know, the characters you like?
Cool video and i agree with you
they shouldve done it like II bruh 😭
TRUTH NUKE
rip foldy
Seriously, vote to save is awful, the actually GOOD characters get eliminated (like Remote and Coiny), while the most ANNOYING characters (like Yellow face and Pillow) stay in because people are for some reason OBSESSED with them. They seriously need to bring back vote to eliminate.
frrrrrrrrrrrr
I wish they swapped between vote save elim and vote to save
Only issue is if one of the contestants aren't involved in some form of drama, they'll most likely just get voted out even if they help their team win. Just look at what happened to Dora in BFB
I don't accept much of the fact that you call Pillow or Yellow Face fans obsessed, but yes, the vote to save is somehow ruining TPOT.
@@greaterthan-colon-three coiny elim developed pin and remote did nothing on the show besides watch pillow?
Same happened with needle
Remote's elim was 100% deserved tbh she only did stuff in TPOT 1 and that's it
Vote for save for me was good in BFB post split, but not good in TPOT
Just a reminder that leafy got the first boot from her team back when VTE was being used
But what happened in Post-split? SHE LITERALLY GOT ONTO THE FINAL 5 (keep in mind that post-split uses VTS instead of VTE)
I do kinda understand the difference between both voting systems. (I can conclude that VTE is way better by a mile)
Eraser was out When he tried and ice cube just dies and is safe she probaly is Not going to do anything
0:33 the reason why saw got eliminated was because of the 8 gag why are you ignoring that
it's always been like that
Contestant vote is just the best
It lets the characters actually decide their fate in the game
Let's easily creating arcs and conflicts
Makes it so smart characters like Golf Ball actually have an advantage somewhere
And also lets the authors controll their own show, and write it the way they see it
Which is exactly why I’m so glad II started doing that after episode 11 season 2
@@kirbyfan2088 Well even though i do see your point
Seeing how much better Inanimate Insanity became when they switched the voting format, and the amazingness of Total Drama
I think the plot is just a lot more interesting when contestants can ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING other then challenges, and characters like Pillow or Grassy don't stay for too long
The positives of contestant vote are just too high compared to it's negatives(which barely exist)
Contestant vote is just a win
@ yeah I can see that, as I do think contestant votes can be really great in competition shows. (Even if they can still go wrong when writing is still a concern).
Voting is just an extremely hard thing to get right. Granted my main point was uniqueness, but that can go a long way for a series.
@@kirbyfan2088 i dont think the magic of object shows is based around viewer vote and inanimate insanity is a shining example of that considering that they have an entire season with contestant vote and it still has very cartoony characteristics that wouldn't exist in a competition show like survivor or even total drama island
i think their identity comes mostly from the humor, characters, and world building rather than the system by which people are eliminated
even object shows that arent competition based (i.e. no vote at all like love of the s*n) do have a sense of an identity with what it is to be an object show so I don't agree that taking away viewer vote can get rid of the charm from an object show
I'm still mad at naily's elimination cake lost the challenge for team just not but my favorite character naily is eliminated it just makes no sense and don't get me started on nickel's elimination

Mistakes: remote got eliminated in tpot 5 so how could she do anything in tpot 8? And saw got eliminated in tpot 4 not tpot 5
Sorry if I sound like a nerd lol
0:18 Romote in TPOT 8?
I have so many questions to both puffball and Coiny’s eliminations
*First of all:* What made them think it was a good idea to use the balance beam for the episode challenge when there are clearly better challenge ideas than that!?
*Second of all:* Why the hell do fan favorites keep getting eliminated just for not doing well in challenges, not having the spot light or not being popular enough. Tell me, does this make 100% sense? *I THINK NOT!*
*Third of all (Mainly for puffball):* The creators were very senseless with the 8th of tpot.
*HEY!* If this happens to basketball in episode 15 then tpot might be worse than Bfb post split.
imagine how the tpot finale will turn out
IT better not be tv winning

BFDI fans when the characters in an elimination based competition get eliminated:
Hes critisizing the elimination order
He’s talking about how the characters get eliminated
Yeah and then pillow and yellow face stay in the game for some reason
It shouldnt be who plays the best, because thats subjective. VTS allows mean characters to stay. Look at the bfdi final 6 before flower joined. It was all made of nice characters who never did anything bad (except leafy)
Compare this to bfb pre split, where by the final 6 (before profily) we had a good split of nice and mean. VTS isnt bad, its just how some characters get out after being good

Yeah you say this until we get an infinity worse elimination order with Vote to Eliminate where all the good and interesting characters either get setup or die first, and not even ones where it would be for the better like Coiny’s was 🥱
Don’t even try to use the Contestant Vote excuse because not only would that not work in BFDI, it kinda defeats the point of the show
"saw was one of the most useful team players, always willing to take on challenges" she didnt do anything in tpot unless you count her teammates using her as a tool in every episode she competes
i don't find bell interesting, the thing her string is attached to is scarcely mentioned and the show doesn't seem to want to answer it, her getting out over rf was def good for rf's storyline
Well bomby took down pillow, he got first safe so I understand
I do sorta agree SOMETIMES, but you all seem to just be upset over your untouchable favourites getting out. I personally enjoy unpredictability in a season, it makes it far more engaging. You’re only saying that it’s being ruined just because you’re mad that characters you like are out/at risk, something us fans of underrated characters are more so glad about, as it gives our favourite a chance. It also sounds like you’re a Pillow hater, and thus want VTE to get out characters you view as “bad”, which yet again, is opinionated and the show it’s being objectively ruined by it.
(Not a Pillow fan btw)
Unfortunately not many will agree with me, since well, the characters are popular, so you’ll be on the “BOOO! THIS SUCKS! HOW DARE YOU LET A SEASON NOT BE PREDICTABLE !” side.
Also side note, every example you used was from when TPOT didn’t have poll voting, most examples you use are a result of voting wars, an issue that was solved.
That still makes it suck tho, cuz now forever characters were robbed thanks to the voting wars, maybe it’s fixed now, but certain characters will never get their time to shine thanks to that method, Soo I can kinda see the hatred for the VTS system still
@@awesomeaustenkittythe thing is, it's not a VTS problem. If TPOT was VTE, the vote wars would happen anyway and good characters would still get out
