This is a really good scene if what I’m thinking comes true, they build up peters relationship with mj and his friendship with Ned a lot more in this film so in the end of the film When strange casts the spell again and everyone forgets he’s Spider-Man and hell maybe peter Parker too, the impact of Ned and Mj not knowing who peter becomes a lot more hard hitting

This appears to be after Strange conducts the spell, erasing everyone’s memories that Peter is Spider Man and erasing all evidence of it from the world. Also making everyone remember the video Mysterio had his goons send to the bugle actually show him revealing his plan to his goons. I’m guessing that this is how Peter proves his innocence, too bad he’ll have to fight the Sinister Six to prove he’s a hero.
You can tell MJ will have a problem with this whole situation and probably break up with Peter so that she can have a normal life. Based on the way she says what she said
She's not gonna break up with Peter if she doesn't remember they were together in the first place, literally the last moment between well non memory wiped MJ is a kiss goodbye and Peter promixing to fix this.
