Excellent restoration work, as usual. Looks French Vanilla to me, very tasteful, absolutely love it! Is the shade signed? Wondering if the (topper?) on the shade might be lighter color?
Good question. No signature on the shade but that is not unusual for this company. It's also just a "trick of lighting" but the shade cap is the same color as the base. It's just a lighting illusion that makes the cap look much darker. Thanks for asking!
Oh, Scott! This lamp is so beautiful your restoration brought me to tears. So grateful for you showing us your process as you bring these beautiful pieces back to life. Thank you.
Oh I spent hours and hours!!!!! But I enjoy working with my hands and it's a pleasure to bring a well made object back to life. Thanks so much for watching.
That lamp came out absolutely beautiful love love the shade you do some some fantastic work bringing back old antique things back to life again what a gift thanks for sharing Scott take care
Satin almond sounds like a night club performer you are a 🦉 hoot awesome restoration. You fly by the seat of your 👖 (as my Grandmother would of said) with your unorthodox approach to Making this lamp new old again 🤗 you are now a mixed medium artisan 👨🎨 Fabulous job dear Scott. Bravo 👏
I love all things Arts and Crafts and you did a splendid job restoring this lamp. The shade painting does remind me very much of Newcomb College or especially the Saturday Evening Girls! It's so heartbreakingly beautiful. I would never be able to part with it. I'm so glad you shared it's story!
Thanks for sharing your process in restoring this beautiful lamp. The shade is gorgeous and delightfully different from the classic style this aged lamp usually has.
That lamp is absolutely gorgeous! The shade is so unusual. This is something that would look absolutely stunning with my decor. Too bad I'm on a "beer" budget. Congratulations to the lucky person who snatches this up!
Hello Scott, thank you for the video and the restoration work. I love this lamp, it looks so modern country styler, mainly because of the shade. A little french vibe too ... lol. This was a great find!... Have a nice day...
You put a lot of time & LOVE restoring the lamp to its former beauty. It's a one of a kind. It would be hard for me to sell it; I think you should keep this treasure!
It's fabulous. The ivory goes fantastic with the shade (silly me would have gone with a metal color, guess it's what I see most), so glad you went authentic. Thanks for sharing.
Scott! That lamp is breath taking!!! I love it and you did a fantastic job in your restoration. I think $800 is the price range...oh heck I don't know. If I had a place for it I would buy it! I so love watching your videos ❤️
We have a lamp similar and the shade is very realistic. Ours almost looks like a photo in the winter woods. The style on this reminds me of almost the Disney Silly Symphony “Flowers and Trees” with how the outlines almost make it appear to be from an old animated film. Really neat!
You did a fantastic job with the restoration! I liked everything about it...except for that plastic cord😬 Your work on that base is beautifully done, and it complements the shade perfectly! I would think somewhere in the $750.00 to $950.00 range would be a good price for it.
How far to take a restoration? You did an excellent job of knocking off the dirt (and mint green paint) and keeping the history. I have rewired some vintage lamps over the years and always try to keep the original hardware if I can and it's safe; I have boxes of old lamp parts to dig through. This video is motivating me to have another look at the projects I have. Thank you for sharing your process. And by the way, I love the basket lamp!
I agree with you totally about keeping as much original headwear as possible. Little details like that sure do make a difference. Thank you for your comment.
I love the lamp and the shade. I have never seen a lamp that used pull chains to cut it on. And, I love the black cat at the end. The restoration of the lamp was interesting.
I agree with Leesa, I would go for 800.00 for the lamp. It’s unusual, it’s restored, and I’m sure that all the work you put into took a lot of time. I can see that fitting in with a lot of different styles. Just price some of the high end new lamps. That was just the starting price. 👍💕
Super restoration, 1000 times better than mint green. I don't think I could part with it, if I were you. And I definitely couldn't ship it. If you decide to list it go for local pickup only because it would be a tragedy to lose that shade.
I got $750 for my Roseville Futura Balloons, 6 months ago. I started at $1100. That lamp is certainly worth more than my pottery piece. That would light up an entire house. Don’t sell yourself short. People have plenty to spend on decorating. They have missed at least 2 $2000 trips to Disney World.

Goodness. No one else would take the time. You have such patience.

Great job, Scott. The lamp is lovely. Love your videos because they aren’t long & drawn out with unnecessary

The lamp looks awesome Scott. You should be proud because you have a talent a lot of people wish they had.
Great job! Although I've never been a fan of those ivory colored lamp bases, you definitely made it look 100 years old!

Lovely lamp! Where did you ever learn how to refurbish lamps?! You have so many talents!
My father always worked with his hands and I grew up watching and learning from him.
Love, love, love this lamp and shade would have it in my room any day 🇬🇧. 😀
It is very cheerful!
Aloha Scott! Lovely! So beautiful! Aloha!🥰

Nice. Your lamp might be a Pittsburg lamp as well.

Scott how stunning! I know you’re in the business of selling, but I don’t know how you could part with it! ☺️🇨🇦
gorgeous shade.
It's beautiful Scott, I think you did just the right amount of aging.
The shade is spectacular! You did a wonderful job bringing the lamp back to life. I was skeptical about the ivory at first, but it really works.
Thanks, Del.
Scott, this lamp has such appeal especially with it English arts and crafts style shade.

Beautiful job..gorgeous lamp….MEOWW
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful job on the lamp in a totally different topic Scott, will you ever be getting another cat? Just curious 😊
Thank you and yes....some day in the future.
Why did you not match the top of the lamp shade cover the same as the base Scott?
I did. It is the exact same color as the base. It just looks darker in the video because of the lighting.
Super restoration, 1000 times better than mint green. I don't think I could part with it, if I were you. And I definitely couldn't ship it. If you decide to list it go for local pickup only because it would be a tragedy to lose that shade.
