David, the young man here in the video died after being on ARS. Someone stole the lamps (his neighbors). David had a friend Bob and they talked everyday. Most days two times a day. Well Bob hadn’t heard from David did his research and found out David had died. He saw that the lamps were missing and called the cops. Bob had spoken with the neighbors and asked them if they knew that David had died they said yes. Bob asked them if they knew that his lamps were missing and they said well he had been selling stuff before he died. Bob had that feeling that something wasn’t quite right and called the cops. Well the cops sent someone out and that was it. They didn’t talk to anyone. So Bob hired an PI and the PI went to the neighbors and asked them about the lamps. They said yes we have them. That David had gifted them the lamps. The PI said well how about when the cops found David they took pictures and guess what was in the pictures? Yup you guessed it. The lamps. So there is no way that he David gave you the lamps. Then the guy said well I have a receipt so the PI said oh yeah. May I see it? They told him no. Well needless to say he the PI was able to get the lamps back and he text Bob to let him know that he has the lamps. David’s estate contacted the lady in this video. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name. The appraiser and asked her to seek the lamps. Well she brought the lamps from David’s estate and they were in her gallery and then sold to someone else. Thank you Bod for doing that for your friend and his family. Also the floor lamp was damaged when the heisted them over the fence. It was repaired.

Terrific! Arlie is ALWAYS SO SWEET and "dry" - she' wonderful! This gentleman is SO deserving of the fine news that he has fine Tiffany lamps! Wonderful session!
When she started waving around the shade you could see the anxiety in his face sky rocket.
The value of Tiffany lamps has skyrocketed since 2008, with exceptional examples over $1M.

The Floor lamp is very desirable and collectable..😲 It's very beautifull and would love to have in my home.. It would look lovely next to the Tiffany vase wrapped in bronze I own..👍💕🔥🤙

I’d bet my bottom dollar that he had those big white tube socks pulled up to his knees when he got there, but the producers made him push them down for filming.
After going to the Roadshow in Santa Fe this year, I no longer love the show. Mostly, you spend the whole time waiting in lines, you can't really see others items, the people and the appraisers were not friendly. Watching the show on TV(before I saw behind the scenes) turned out to be more "fun".
People are taking their privately owned items in for financial evaluation, that is private information. Not for you to see.
@@PDC1987 I'm not interested in seeing anyone's private info - all I'm pointing out - for my personal experience - it LOOKS more fun than it was in person.

These reappraisal shows are so fascinating; I enjoy them as much as I love the brand new episodes.
For those interested in finding out what happened to these lamps (and to their owner, David), I highly recommend an episode in the Detours podcast. The podcast, in general, does follow-ups on items that appear on Antiques Roadshow. For this particular episode, called David and the Two Lamps, besides talking about these two lamps specifically, it goes into the history of Tiffany and how Arlie became "the" current expert on Tiffany.
There are so many times that I wish the original owner was hearing the appraisal. This is one of those times.

Do you mean the gentleman in the video above passed shortly after the show? He seemed uncomfortable on camera, nervous a bit, but if true that he did pass soon after, that is very very sad.
Edit: It is indeed the gentleman in the video. The story of the lamps going missing was fascinating! He had a good friend in 'Bob' who followed up on the case years later.

Arlie has overvalued both these lamps . This table lamp is more in the 35k and the floor lamp is more in the 65k 2022 prices . Both of these are fairly plain design mass produced Tiffany lamps . They still look great !
