Hello Jash! have been following your content for quite a while now ,All your posts are very good & informative, Thank you so much for all such wonderful videos. Myself being data-engineer with 1.5yrs experience in a consulting firm, I am able to relate more to your videos😃, now I am looking for a change to move to a product based company, what will be the correct time to make a switch to companies like MAANG, (because of the lay-offs happening all around the world ,it is little bit scary now) can you pls provide your thoughts Jash. Thanks again and pls do continue making more content for the enthusiastic data world☺
Thank you so much! And right now I would suggest you to wait for 2024 before you make a switch because of layoffs.

Sir in next 3-5 years due to increase in advancement of AI , number of jobs will decrease like if we need 100 sde in a good startups like cred , razorpay etc we only need 10-15 sdes ? What's ur opinion on this sir ?
I don't think it will be that drastic. I have personally started using some AI tools to make my life easier but it's not good enough to replace engineers for at least next 5 years
@@JashRadiaSir but look at some good resources which looks scary for frontend developer and many of the backend development task is getting automated
Everything is good, but these companies don't hire freshers in the cloud domain. Either they fill their seats internally through reference or they train their own employees who work in different domains and appoint them in their organization. People who apply for thousands of jobs in a day from the naukri portal and linkedin get hardly one or two calls, and that too they ask for a minimum of three years of experience as a fresher. Now I don't understand this logic how can you call someone a "fresher" after they have had 3 years of experience? so companies should think about fresher level people as well and give them a chance too.
Fresher positions are also there but not sure if they are open right now.. Even in my team there are 2. Also if you have 3 or more YoE, you get paid differently and most likely have different level than freshers

Hi Jash, How is data engg role comapred to other software frontend or backend dev in terms of pay, wlb, stress? As a fellow data engg I am working very long working hours every day and so does the stress level with lower salry than traditional software dev. should i stick with it or move to another role? Also give comment on Data engineers dont get any visibility.
Would be nice to see one video on whats in the day/week of a data engineer like..

@@JashRadia i very well meant not to see the particulars which will obviously be confidential but trying to picture what is the work like. Not every day we build a new pipeline but generally we build more worthy datasets on some existing railings

Just one question Jash - I worked for two years as a senior data manager for a multinational consultancy involved in major civil engineering projects. The type of data exchange format was AGS, so obviously very different from the wider tech sector. My question, in transitioning my career, do you think this experience would be looked upon favourably and make me stand out? My degree background is engineering geology.
I don't think it will be looked upon. It's all about wording your work in an impressive way and it can easily be done with the experience you have.
@@JashRadia OK, that's good to know thanks! The teamwork, soft skills and work environment are obvious stand-out transferrable skills. Also, the data integrity and responsibilities, meeting submission targets etc will be good to mention.

Sorry if my question sound silly, I am working in a service based and being treated very badly, I got into mental health therapy because of the toxicity and partiality I had to go through. I really am putting 3 hrs a day after work to study hard, and get myself to a better place. Please answer, whenever you would be free. Really grateful.
Overall the work culture is good. People are supportive and understanding of your personal time boundaries so work life balance is good, too. Manager depends on the team you work in.

Should I learn everything like python, SQL, data visualization tools separately by myself from different sources or enroll in a proper course like google data analytics course, IBM data analytics course?
Thank you! Either way works. Depends on what is best for you. If you are disciplined enough, then learning on your own is also a good option.

If any fresher join Google as a SDE then the salary is same for all locations in India or it will change according to city?
All locations have SDE roles even at Pune we have it

Right now I know little bit python and SQL
But it will create any problem if i directly learn cloud data engineering and will not learn tools like Hadoop spark Kafka etc...
Spark is must. Even in cloud data engineering. You can learn from databricks if you're focusing on azure

hi. thanks for this motivation. I am a machine learning engineer trying to enter google. I have a small doubt. I am suffering from piles complaint. so, in my office, maximum time I used to stand and work. For first half an hour I will stand and work and another half an hour I may sit and work. So my doubt is, IF I crack google interview, will google allow me to stand and work? (In your video I saw a guy who was standing and working. Amazing video Jash! I have around 1.5 year of experience in Oracle ERP with skills of SQL, Erp functional Analysis. Will switching in Big data engineering filed (as i know SQL, Python, Spark from personal project and also preparing on Azure data engineering certification) will count my current experience or They consider me as fresher?
It is hard to get into Google as a fresher de but can be done with a referral and a good college. Otherwise try to get experience and yes in any company certificate will be helpful

Hi Jash, I am working in ETL space on Third party tools like Abinitio, etc, Now if I want to switch to Google, at 9 exp, I dont have relevant hands on in pyspark gcp or data engineering tools that's being used in google, In that case what do you suggest as to get into here at Google
Pyspark is a must and they don't care about you knowing GCP in interviews. But knowledge of any 1 cloud is required too

Not really. But because you have done diploma, your technical skills will be better so you can prepare better for interviews. But you don't get any specific advantage for it

Both pay really well in good companies and mediocre in mediocre companies. One role doesn't excel in pay or growth

That's half of it with GCP. Other half of the job is to create internal product pipelines

Does Google Cloud Pune office provide wfh?
Google has both options hybrid or wfh. In case of 100% wfh, you won't be assigned an office and your location will be remote.

@@pushpendraupadhyay6941 no. They haven't. They only said they will reduce some cafes inside large offices to save cost. Pune office is very small so only has one cafe and one MK. No changes. Free food is still there in all Google offices

You can either do that or learn it yourself. Both options work well!

There are no shifts as such. Flexible timings generally 8 hours a day.

We have no fix days to come to office. We can come when we want to. There are remote options open too
