I am a big fan of meta company and I am doing work hard to get a job on future in meta company I am at 2nd semester student of computer science but have a craze to get a job earlier if you will see me review plz comment and share your thought
When i work at home, in the pause of coffe always i watch this type of videos, is soo relaxing

Hey bro love your videos! I want to ask which macbook pro you use, 14" or 16"? I'm a computer science student and currently using a 15.6" windows machine and i'm considering 16" macbook pro, is it okay to work portable with that? I'm thinking yes but some of my friends trying to convience me not.
Hi! 16" MBP is usually the standard for software engineers. I think it's portable and big enough to get some work done. I'm the most productive with dual monitors, however. I hope that helps and thanks for watching 😊

Yeah I would say that we are doing agile development. We have 2-week sprints with 2 stand-ups per week. Sprint planning before the start of a sprint.

I’d value knowing more about meta performance evaluations, the different axis (the renamed people, etc) and how evidence the different aspects. 😊
I’ve seen a few videos like these, programmers and such at these big companies. My question is, what’s with the late start to the day? Is that a super common thing among young people in tech?
Most younger tech people I know are not really morning people
Agreed most prefer a couple hours in the morning to chill instead of having to wake up at freaking 5 AM and then battle traffic.

We're on a hybrid schedule. There's typically less people coming in on Fridays. And thank you!

There's less people around on Fridays and I try to avoid recording other people in general 😌

What switches are you using? They sound smoooooth
Gateron Pro Brown but the keyboard itself contributes a lot to the sound (like the brass plate). It's listed on my website if you wanna check it out 😁

When it comes to programming languages I only learn what's needed. What's needed depends on what you want to do, however. And unless it's something that you can't use JS for, I would just keep using JS. I plan to make a video around this topic in the future.

You never know unless you try. I didn't learn to code until college. It really depends on how much you want/like it.

You mean if you're to replace the switches? I have no idea. But the current switches are Gateron Pro Brown (there's a link in the description).
As much as I love working from home and having a pretty horrible place to work at the office 😂😂 it's kinda sad to see yours so empty and dead, it reminds me covid times where everything was a desert
We're consolidating offices so the offices are going to be more lively from now on but that also means I probably won't be filming much in the office going forward. Also Friday is a pretty common WFH day for people.

No matter how good office looks and facilities it provides, but truth is these are tactics by giants to make you spend more time in office.
Remote work is actually future of work.
Great amenities certainly help with getting people into the office.
@@calvinxli whereas remote work allows diversity plus people work who are in remote areas, company will have more reach.

It's from Mission8. I've been having some issues with water coming out at an angle from some of the holes. I think it needs to be cleaned but I can't open it :(

@@calvinxli Thank you. We have done a course Introduction to Human Resources Management. We have chosen Meta as a case study. We knew that Meta employed 360-degree review, but we were required to create an appraisal form. We have been struggling with this terrible form for many days :>> LOL.
Anyway, we appreciate videos like yours a lot because we can imagine what a job looks like. Thanks to your video, we received positive feedback from our lecturer.

Hi Calvin! I really enjoyed your video, but I wanted to let you know that someone unexpectedly altered the message you intended to convey in your vlog on the internet. You mentioned in the video that it was Friday, so there were fewer meetings and tasks, but this individual added their own narration, misinterpreting it as you leading a relaxed life as a Meta intern every day, indulging in food and drink. They even shortened the parts of the video where you were working and claimed you were dissatisfied with your quitting time that day (however, they did compliment you, saying you're good looking). Fortunately, a kind person posted the link to your original video in the comments, and that's when I realized your content had been misinterpreted😥😥
