In this video I am out in the field with West River Equipment in North Dakota as they deliver this BRAND NEW Deutz Fahr 8280 TTV Tractor and Krone Triple Mowers to a farm near Wahpeton North Dakota. The dealer delivered the tractor to the customer and we started mowing right away. We had to make a few adjustments and get everything set and things were going good so I popped the drone up in the sky and got some footage for another RUclips Video.

Thats a really nice healthy thick alfalfa field. Nice thick wind rows very good for dairy cows.
Really cool to see that Deutz brand is becoming more popular in the USA. They are very reliable and look great 👍🏻
I don't like the look of them. For me they like a green painted Easter egg on wheels.

It's crazy how enjoying it is to watch this and think about yourself in that cab, listening to music and mowing hay. Love the drone video showing the tractor mowing with the green hay field waiving with the wind, nothing better than that. Sweet tractor and mower, that's for sure.
I’ve always been a Deere and fendt fan but i am changing to deutz for sure they are building probably the best looking tractor on the market now

Hi Mike,
Lots of European machinery creeping into the American farms. These mowers set up been common in Europe for many years. I think at one time Krone used to make the mower beds for a few different manufacturers.

Hi Mike. Great video like always. I have been looking into tractor prices and I can see that a John Deere in same Hp would be at least K200 + more than the Deutz Fahr. And Deutz comes fully equipped. Deere and all other brands charge for every nut and bolt extra.

I really enjoyed this video Mike .I wished some day to try one of these tractors as well as the mowers. But it doesn't alway fit every operation I have short fields and lots of rocks

I think you said the horsepower rating on this tractor was 380. What percentage of that horsepower was being used to move this tractor and the triple more across the field?

Does the alfalfa need to be replanted every year or does it grow back after the winter
You can get 2 or 3 cuts per year. It grows back every year.

After 4 or 5 years it will slowly die out, but yes, alfalfa is a perennial and a healthy stand gives vigorous regrowth for years.

John Deere and New Holland offer triple mowers. Are theirs European built as well?
The Deere is built by Kuhn last I knew Not sure about the New Holland

Yes but I believe the Deeres are made by Kuhn Not sure on the New Holland
John Deere's is just a rebranded Kuhn mower.
I just learned the New Holland triple mowers are built in the Netherlands by Kvernaland
