I am testing out the NEW Estée Lauder Double Wear Sheer Long-Wear Foundation SPF 19 vs the oldie but goodie Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Foundation SPF 45. I'm so glad I found your video! I have worn Doublewear forever, except for a period of time when I worked for Dior and wore the Dior Airflash. I have always worn Fresco in Doublewear, but felt it was too dark for my complexion now that my hair has lightened. I recently got a sample of the Doublewear, the Sheer Doublewear and the futurist. I have sampled all 3 and I'm really leaning toward the futurist! The sheer Doublewear doesn't cover the redness and acne scars. The original Doublewear feels too heavy for me now and tends to make my face feel dry. The Futurist gave me the smooth finish that I used to feel with Doublewear, and since the shade appears to be lighter than the original Doublewear - it's perfect for my complexion. I'm going to try each one again and then make a decision.
As for your test in this video, I have to say I love the Futurist side! To me, the shell color of the sheer Doublewear is too yellow for your skin and it doesn't appear to cover as well as the Futurist side. You appear to be concerned with the gray tones, but I have learned that gray tones cover redness much better and looks more natural. I always recommended cool tones for my clients with redness.

I use the same shade and the first time I used it I was worry I picked the wrong color. But u are right! After a bit it does change. I love it! I wanted to try the sheer one but I think I’m staying with the futurist one

I use 4w1 in Hydra Rescue (we are close in skintone). Estee lauder's neutral foundations lean very neutral, so Shell Beige should look beige and make you look less warm and more pale. I have obvious neutral-yellow/olive undertones so I always go for the W shades. It's more odd that the other one leans warmer imho

Hola! The Futurist side looked more perfected but I could see a slight grey cast in the sunlight. I would def go with the sheer version too.
Right now I have my eye on the Nars Climax palette and I’m waiting for the Glowish blushes, Glamlite Martini palette and the new Adept Cosmetics palette to drop. 😁

I don't like the Hydro Rescue foundation. It wears very unattractively under sweaty conditions; I live in a hot country so I cant have that. Since I exclusively wear it over chemical sunscreen I far prefer the Huda Beauty Luminous Matte foundation to this one. I always mix it with a hydrating primer so it gives me a radiant finish as well. Better coverage, better longevity, water-resistant, and looks smoother. I bought EL HR because Hot and Flashy claimed it looked good on top of mineral sunscreen, and I agree it looks better than most foundations I have on top of mineral ss, but it still doenst look great.

Do you know what is going to substitute the ESTEE LAUDER ENLIGHTEN EE CREAM ? Is was like a BB cream, only 3 shades available, 30 SPF, very light and sheer and amazing glow, but is out of the market… such a magnificent product. I wore it for years now! Is there a new product that is a spin off of this?
