Thank you for the walk through. Really useful even though I strayed off the path a couple of times. like trying to open the bin, instead of just dragging it across to the mic2. Best Dave
Thank you for your support and your comment. I also did the same thing by trying and opening the bin file (but I edited out). Hope you got it sorted out.

Thanks so much for this video. I spent the last three days trying to update the mic 2 until i stumbled on your video and saw you actually just drag the download file into the folder and that did the trick.
Thank you for your comment and for turning in. I’m glad this helped. Hopefully future updates for the Mic could be done through the app too.

Thank You 👍👍👍
Thank you, I’m happy that you tuned in.
Thanks so much for the walkthrough. Because of this I was able to resolve a firmware update failure, I kept experiencing. I even sent it back to DJI. They updated it and sent the same osmo pocket 3 back to me. Then the next firmware update came out. Then again I had firmware update failure. I thought no way am I shipping it back out again. I searched forums and support with no real solution. I came across your video and followed it precisely. The absolute first thing I noticed that no one pointed out, not even DJI support, was that the battery handle extension was not connected in your video!😮😅 Ugh! I disconnected the handle and tried and it worked! Hope that helps someone experiencing firmware update failures!
Thank you for your comment and point out that important part, removing the battery handle first. I’m glad this video helped and resolved the problem. 😀
it helps thanks

Well done! Thank you. Have you ever thought of recording a relaxation podcast. Because you're super chill delivery really can mellow a guy out!
Thank you for your comment. Appreciate your saying so, it would be interesting to record relaxation podcast. I would have to look into what I could talk about. Thank you again. 🙏😀
Hi Thanks, crystal clear! Just a quick and stupid question please: When the firmware update is done on the Mic transmitter, do we leave the DL file in the root folder ...or do we can delete it?
Hi, thank you for your comment. There’s no mentioning in their Release Notes. However, when the next Mic update is released, you would have to delete it for the new one. For me, I just leave it there until then since it hasn’t affected anything. Hope that helps.
Thanks for sharing this info, very helpful. What magnetic cable are you using with the transmitter?
Just seen an advert, looks like a Static 360º cable. Best Dave
Thank you for your comment. I got it from Amazon, it’s the “USB C Magnetic Adapter (2 Pack)”. They’re cheaper on AliExpress, but long wait time when shipped. Hope that helps.
Thank you for commenting. It’s really useful. It’s a “USB C Magnetic Adapter” that I got from Amazon. It attaches on the ends of a USB-C cable. You could find it for cheap on AliExpress. Hope you found this video helpful. Thank you again.
Thank you for your presentation. I understand that prior to using the device, you must register by cellphone? Is this true?
Hi, thank you for your comment. For what I know, you would have to register to activate it. However, I believe you could still use it without having to. But they recommend that you should.
The battery handle is automatically updated to the latest firmware if it is connected while doing the firmware update for the pocket itself.
Thank you for sharing this, I didn’t know. I like it, even quicker.
what does the new firmware do to the battery handle?
I couldn’t find any notes on DJI website. I assume for the battery to charge properly without issues.
@@TossSongaccording to infos suppport streaming 1080p and 4k 10bit normal mode besides hlg hdr and d log .All 10bit which is astonishing for editors
Yes, this is quite a big update. I’m still testing and comparing to how it was, but loving it so far. Thank you for your comment b
Thanks for the helpful guide video. My question is - How could we update the Mic 2 if we don't have computer or laptop?
Actually, it should work the same way with an iPad or a tablet-if the bin file can be downloaded onto it. Let me know if manage to do it. Thank you again for your comment.
@@TossSong I think the question was is there a way to update the DJI mic without a computer or laptop?
Thanks, got it. In that case, I don’t know. I’m sure DJI would eventually implement the update method for the Mic through the Mimo app also. Hopefully soon.
@@TheXpatx Correct. I only have a smartphone.
I see. I’m sure eventually DJI have to implement the update through the app, for this to be truly portable experience.
Awesome video, thanks! all like the video went well except for the last point, the battery handle. It wont update automatically. How can I update it please?
Hi, if you updated the camera with the battery handle attached, it was already updated along with the camera. Just check to firmware number to confirm. Let me know how it goes. Thanks.
@@TossSong No I didnt.
Double check the firmware number on Both the camera and the battery handle by attaching it. (As you know, the camera needed to be updated first). If anything else, I wouldn’t know what happened. Hopefully you tried everything, like draining the batteries (both the cam and the handle) and recharging them. And check everything.
The issue? Well while using the receiver with either transmitter and shooting video with the factory IPhone camera/video app it will not transfer the audio to the iPhone, you can see the level meter from the mic(s) but it still records with the iPhone built in mic.
Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. Hope someone can assist in providing the answer to this issue. For me, I use the Mic 2 but transfer everything off the SD card.
I don’t have a computer, can I use my iPad to do all these updates?
Thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can as long as it’s can transfer file. Let me know how it goes.
I downloaded the bin file from the site to my phone, plugged in the mic 2 to my Samsung S23 Ultra's usb-c port, powered on the mic 2 and dropped the bin file into the root directory of the mic 2 and once I disconnected from the phone, it updated
Thank you for your comment and for sharing. I was wondering about mobile devices, I assume that it would work as along as the bin file can be downloaded and transferred. Thank you for confirming it. Hope people can read your comment if they want to try with their mobile devices. Thank you again.
Anyone else having the issue where your pc or Mac doesn’t even recognize the mic? Whenever I plug it in to a computer, the mic vibrates and blinks a green light, but it won’t let me access any files. The “no name” drive doesn’t even appear
Hi, thanks for reaching out. I assume you’ve tried restarting the computer already. And using a data transferable cable. Let me know. Hopefully someone having the same issue can chime in.
I encountered an issue with the installation process (no response at all)
switching to a different browser to download the file resolved it.
Just sharing this with everyone here
Thank you for sharing and for your comment. Glad you got it resolved. Hope this comment will help others with the same issue.
Hi, I tried to update the Mic2 but didn't succeed. I first updated the Pocket 3. That was working nicely. The Mic2 after my attempt to update, gives a Green flashing Light and can not connect to the Pocket 3 anymore! I tried 3 times to update. No way to solve the problem. Can you help me to fix this?
Hi, I would plug the Mic 2 in again. And then delete the old bin file that you transferred in. And start again-but make sure you drag or transfer into the root directory of the Mic drive. Do let me know how it goes. Hope this works. Thank you for your comment.
The issue for me was that I didn't 'EJECT' the No Name microphone before unplugging it. Once I clicked EJECT and then unplugged, I got the update.
Great, glad you got it working. I believe even without ejecting it (after bin file transferred), the Mic should still go into update mode with alternating red and green lights. But no matter, you still got it working. Thanks for your input and for your comment.
Mimo app claims it can also update the transmitter when it's connected to DJI Pocket3 during firmware update.
I read it after I updated it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Going the USB way then :D
Thanks for your comment. That’s interesting (possibly for future update releases). Because even the “DJI Release Notes,” they themselves mention it has to be done through a computer. I’ll be looking into to this, it would be so convenient through the app.
You forgot how to update the usb cable, and the magnet for the DJI Mic 2 😂 😅. I got the soft case updated though. It's now a briefcase 💼 😳 Just kidding. Thanks for helping folks that aren't technically savvy.
Thank you for your comment. I know, I’ve using the “USB-C magnet adapters” for everything now. They are so convenient. I got them off Amazon. They are cheaper on AliExpress. Anyway, I’m glad this video helped. 😀👍
I've updated the deadcat / wind shield on the microphone... the hairs are much longer now.
Thanks!!
Thank you for tuning in.
Thanks
