Great content! Is there any option to enable that "haptic feedback" notification on Dji Mic 2 that we got from Pocket 3 Creator Combo? Because I dont remember that my unit has one.

It should be on by default, but if you need to double check, on the Pocket 3 swipe down, hit the gear icon in the lower left corner, go to Wireless Mic (make sure it's connected) and scroll down to Vibration and make sure it is enabled.

Other youtubers have noticed that the Mic 2 sounds muffled vs the Mic 1. WayneRecs noticed that if you purchase the two transmitter option, his mics sounded different from one another. Curtis Judd noticed some sound problems. Have you looked into this? I felt your voice being recorded directly from the Pocket 3 sounded crisper than from the Mic 2. What can we actually expect in terms of quality? Shouldn't that be the ultimate buying consideration?

Can the receiver be plugged to a desktop/laptop via a cable? Or does the receiver have to be connected directly via the little usb-c connector? I’m afraid of the usb-c connector breaking over time when attached directly rather than by a cable like the hollyland.
I’d like to be able to connect the receiver to my computer via usb-c cable if possible for Zoom calls.

If using the receiver, you can plug into any action camera that has a 3.5mm mic jack. In the case of the Insta X3 and GoPro, you’ll need to add on their custom 3.5mm mic jack adapters. Via wireless Bluetooth, this mic system is officially only compatible with the DJI Osmo Action 4, but it does work with Insta360 Ace Pro too.

Noise cancellation is not available in Bluetooth mode (per the user manual). Apparently the noise cancellation happens in the receiver module so it only works on WiFi mode.
Edit: Wow, this is a bit confusing, but further research revealed that when using the Pocket 3, noise reduction is available, but that's apparently because it's built into the Pocket 3 itself. If you use a Mic 2 in Bluetooth mode with something else, the noise reduction is not available. The User Manual is not very clear about that.

    • @janoroh

The Bluetooth protocol doesn't allow for high quality audio, so a BT connection will always sound worse than a wired or direct connection. Otherwise, Sennheiser, Rode etc. would have long come out with BT mics. It's a nice feature to have, but basically unusable if you want to get the best out of the mic.

A little underwhelmed with this. Is the product so mature already that DJI only saw fit for this evolutionary step? 32 bit float is great if your workflow needs it. The noise cancellation is a nice touch but I could hardly notice the difference. Preset receiver gain is a neat touch but again….
There is no doubt it is lovely looking and no doubt very well built. However as wireless mics stands today I prefer the Rode range for usability and audio quality and the Hollyland for value.
