@@myaacount G3 has only 120fps. So if you are happy with that, you can run at 120fps on S95C also.
The issues some (not all) have had with PC gaming is primarily when using 144fps.
In game mode, S95C has options for motion handling, the G3 only has this outside of game mode. The S95C also has less input lag with motion processing applied.
There are lots of things each TV does well or better than the other. But if you have a gaming bias, I don't see the argument for the G3.

I've got a stand with a mount on it already so it worked out perfect.
Rich colors, deep blacks, smooth motion in gaming and movies.
And the G3 is very bright, I've actually had to turn the brightness down do to it being to bright at times.

Something to note about Samsung: Their processor is very inferior. It can't process scenes down to the frame, just the entire scene itself. The more granular processing of the LG is superior. The Samsung also is limited to 40gbps on the 2.1 ports vs the full 48 over on the LG. The limitation is due to the one connect box Samsung uses.

Great review. However I think you did not turn on dynamic tone mapping on the S95C. With dynamic tone mapping, the S95C goes just as bright as the LG G3 specially on game mode. In fact the G3 is supposed to have a comparable washed out gaming mode cause it has to turn down color boosting to maintain a low input lag. The color brightness should be way lower than the S95C while on gaming mode. In the rest of the modes, the g3 should be brighter when displaying scenes with a white tone due to the white sub pixel config of a woled panel. Thanks for the vid

Considering the 95c might already be nerfed from the factory as before release the panel could originally hit 2k nits and sony is targeting the 2k for the a95l, they might be trying to get the best out of the panel without causing issues to longevity hence why the average cap for the 95c is 1400 to 1500 nits depending on panel lottery. So I think we're good on it being gimped in the future. Sony on the other hand has a heatsink hence why they're targeting the panels full capability.

I bought one of the first Samsung 8k models back in early 2019 Q900 82". Loved how bright the TV is and the gaming, hated that some movie and TV show dark scenes had the auto-dim all over the place. BUT the biggest issue was on year 4 the TV developed a bright spot (3-4 inches) and a smudge 0.25" that appeared as the TV gets warm. For a TV that was $7k I find that unacceptable and I lost a lot of faith of Samsung's longevity. Just because the screen looks great and has no issues it does not mean it will look like that after warranty. I gave my parents my old 75" 4k Vizio from like 2015 and its still running with no issues. Be advise - the Samsung S95C 2.1 HDMI ports do not give you the full 48Gbps through-put. They have it capped between 38-40Gbps. You can't have a flagship OLED TV with limitations like that..

Pretty fast way to get there.. & Imo webOS & Tizen quality just "ok", so its a tie in my book.. also I dont like to use the pointer option on LGs remote.. I prefer to use streaming devices for content which is better than either webOS or Tizen imo. Also in dark content, shows/games, like Resident Evil or GoT the S95c is cleaner especially with panning shots/scenes. Great Video though. Thanks for supporting my BB Co!

When we talk bout burn in, this two TV's are proned to damage both panels. But in Samsung, since it using QD-OLED or quantum dot - light emmiting diode, this is much better choice because quantum dot is not proned to burn in. And it will give you the best color contrast and brightness because of quantum dot technology.
And one more in terms of gaming. The samung s95c/s90c have the same refresh rate of 144hz, compared to LG G3 with 120hz refresh rate.

Motion is better, near black handling is better. And the G3 just won the double blind best tv of the year category in Germany.

Excuse me please 🙏 mr ckid ,i just saw both tvs lg g3 ,and samsung s95c in store however after carefully and gently touching both tvs, panels i noticed that the lg g3 panel gets quite 🔥 hot, while samsung s95c remains quite cool, is this a concern?? Does this mean higher chances, % that lg g3 will get burn 🔥 in😎?? Thanks for your reply 👍

No because the LG has a brighter panel which will help make the panel hotter. But it does not have any relation to burn ins. Yes Burn-ins is a risk but I wouldn't worry too much about it if you don't keep static images on your screen for like a year straight.

@caphan8897 since both TV's had different company demos I can't say they do not allow us consumer here in sydney to test the TV's they do not even have the TV's remote control 😒, however since you asked 🙄 the lg g3 demo looked very clear and crisp, and the Samsung s95c was showing brilliant colours against a totally dark background 👍
