- This was just what I needed and did it ever feel good to be surrounded by greenery, a stream near to the path and the birds joining in - when they chose to!!
I cant imagine living without the joyous sound of birds .
Sundown is a powerful time of change from daylight to moonlight .
The birds........all then sing to celebrate the days end .
I am my happiest when surrounded by nature to see, to hear, to reach out and touch but mostly to soak in the feeling of calm, peace, tranquility. D

Beautiful. I’m reminded of walking down similar paths as a child. I so loved those paths and trails. Calming. Sometimes I’d be by myself with an imaginary friend…or my dogs. Not far from my home. I have walked there many times as I’ve grown older…all at different ages of my life..but last time was many years ago. Walked with my children…with my grandchildren also. We’d look for smooth white pebbles and make a wish on each pebble and put in our pockets. Can’t count the number of pebbles I’d find at the bottom of my washing machine, sometimes, after doing a load of laundry. 😊. I still have one of my pebbles saved in a tiny jewelry box…and I don’t know why I even still have it, but I do. 🤔. Thank you for sharing your walk (in this tranquil setting) with us. I know what you mean about things in pockets into washing machines! I too have little tokens that to others are meaningless, but to me stir happy memories. D

One of my favorite places is my front yard. We have 1 acre and the front is partially wooded. My husband mows winding trails for me to walk through the trees. I love hearing the birds and seeing the sun within. Also my back porch watching the sunrise along the pasture next to us. It's so quiet and peaceful.

@@karin0963 Have visited Texas but mostly DFW AIrport. My ex was an aviation artist and we made prints of American Airlines aircraft - and we were over having chats about these! Long way to go to visit an airport. D

Wonderful! - I don't see many crockles round such places, maybe a couple of folk from the narrow boats on the nearby canal. I used to live in Devon, so well versed in crockle avoidance there. D

Every single thing is a miracle, isnt it?! I know what you mean about city noises....but sometimes, I stand outside at night and listen. I often hear a distant siren....and a faraway dog barking, barking. I don't know why those sounds are so evocative. But they are. Lots of love ❤️

I’m like you Dee and just enjoy a much slower pace of life. I even enjoy driving around our country lanes at a sedate speed ( not when anyone is behind me though as everyone seems to be so impatient and always in a rush) I think we just like to enjoy and appreciate the now.
On a different note, did your car pass its MOT? 🙏🏻
I agree - except I believe I always say that I have important people behind me as they seem in such a rush.
As for the car - when I got to the garage they were just finishing the MoT and I heard a bang. The brake fluid pipe had burst. They said were busy and friends kindly let me borrow a car. Then 2 days later - phone call and my car sorted. D
