In this video Davide demonstrates the new content and features from Scaler 2.1 which is a free update for Scaler 2 users and available to download from your PluginBoutique account (login and click on my account).
Scaler 2.1 features over 100 new Performances, Phrases and Rhythms in triplet feel and 3/4, 5/4, 6/8 and 12/8 time signatures. There's an all new 'Chord Edit Mode' which allows you to create or edit chords including velocities. The audio detection has also improved significantly plus there are lots of new improvements and features.

It's like having all the chord books I ever owned packed into a robot that's smarter than me, yet still subservient. I love this plugin.
Scaler 2 is probably the best plugin of 2020.

GREAT update! Wow, I'm impressed with the developer's commitment to improving their product without reservation. I haven't been productive musically for many months but this just inspired me to fire up Scaler and start messing around.
I hope all the other companies are paying attention. This is what continued support for a product line looks like.
Congratulations. Scaler 2.0 was great. Scaler 2.1 new functionalities are extremely great. It is a big help. Al hthe armonization weapons in a piece of software. I purchased Scaler and I am proud to have it. Good design, serious company and support. This video demonstrate all of that.
Scaler is the best of all midi chord generators. i have lot of them and lock them all but Scaler is hands down the best to me!

Scaler is becoming a must-have tool.
Would love to see separate midi-outs for Chord and Chord-notes/Scale notes. Create some strong melodies that way. (I can do it with two instances of Scaler on two separate tracks, but I have to sync them and its slight messy). I think you guys are aware of that request on your forum though.
So many excellent additions and all this in just a point update. The slash chords addition alone is something I’ve wanted for ages, the others things I’ve wanted without realising I wanted them!

I read books for thirty years and didn't learn a damn thing about music theory. (To be fair, most of those books had nothing to do with music theory.) With scaler I learned so much in a month....dude you can type in a short sentence that makes you look like a jerk or you can go make a tune and give the world something. I'm with DJ Pants here: it is a fantastic tool and I love it.

I think you have made the best vst of this century... I know music theory, but Scaler 2 is challenging my ideas in composition... giving me new ways to go... new ways to think of music... it is truly inspiring to work with. A big thank you for supporting and developing on your product... you will be legends in the music industry. :) Only thing I miss from you is a more technical video... about how to connect Scaler 2 to other vst's in different DAWs... I am really struggling with the technical aspects.... because I am not interested in that, but I realize I need to know to get to the best use of Scaler 2.

I bought Scaler 2 yesterday, I am a complete beginner to music theory, DAWs, music production, I cant play piano. I'll be giving it a good attempt. Lets see how i go with it. It's well spoken of.

What I like a lot about Scaler 2 is that when you drag out the midi and examine it.. It's easy to understand what it's doing.. So you can also be learning while using it.
One day, I will actually sit down and take time to learn how to use this thing properly : -D It's a wonderful tool and I can see all the potential in it, but I still find it imposing and complicated.

Scaler 2 look as a promise of more improvements and features with each update. I think Santa's sleigh this end of the year will be loaded with exciting surprises, and even maybe the Halloween witches could speed up their brooms and get ahead of the long-awaited red old man.

I cant seem to be able to use the New time signatures in the playback performance area. I can see them buy they are greyed out. Anyone knows what i might do wrong
That seems exceptionally odd, either you have them or you don't. Ensure you have the relevant performance turned on. Head over to scalerplugin.com and ask the users there if you need help

These guys have their monitors placed so far apart and then sit close up to them in an isoceles triangle. Is that a good idea??
Great phrases with strings, but what about horns? Got phrases that make horns pop?
Indeed they work great with horns, particularly the new rhythms and triple feels.
Can Scaler2 be used to help harmonize a melody? I.e., try out different chords that sit in a scale and could go under a melody line? With all its features I thought it might, but I can't figure it out (I bought it last week solely on the strength of the YT tutorials ;-) )
Also, I have the latest version installed, which should be 2.1, but under Other time signatures it is only showing 5/4, not the other sections you are demonstrating. Are you demoing a beta version perhaps?
Yes that's the whole premise of Scaler, identify your key and scale based on chords or melody you are playing and suggest scales and chords to go with. You are only looking at the rhythm section of expressions. Look under phrases and performances and you will see the other time signatures.
In Neo-Riemannian modulation mode (and this may be all modulations), what do the letters "P" "L" "R" "N" "S" mean above the various chords? Thanks for the update and the helpful video.
Parallel, Leading Tone, Relative, Major (or Minor) Dominant, Common Third.
