  • In this video, we are going to take a look at the VKB-SIM T-RUDDER PEDALS MK.V. I normally don't make hardware videos, but since there were no videos out there for the MK 5 version, I decided to create one.

    Got mine about a month ago. They are great.
    I don't even care about the lack of toe brake. I have a dozen other HOTAS buttons for that.

      I agree. The higher spring tension was a must for me personally.

    Thank you for the review of the Mk V peddles. I have the Mk IV version for about a year now and love them. I totally get what you are saying about the addiction and wanting to get the latest versions of these peddles. Fortunately for me my son plays Star Citizen and I will pass my Mk IV peddles to him once I pick up the new one.

    VKB really should do Rudder pedals with Toe Breaks .

    • @David-id2ks
      @David-id2ks 5 месяцев назад

      Toe brakes are only used when taxiing aircraft on the runway. They literally do nothing in flight.

    • @dealwolfstriked272
      @dealwolfstriked272 2 месяца назад

      @@David-id2ks I have these pedals and curse myself that I like them so much. I put a large curve in them to balance out the short throw and they are superb for ground attacks. But no toe brakes sucks! If you fly DCS you just cant turn some older planes as they rely on differential braking to turn.

    I ordered this due to it is compact and can put in to the floor next to my sim racing pedal.

    I have the MK V rudder with a Gunfighter IV right hand premium (omni) and Glatdiator NXT EVO (omni) lefthand and consider this the ultimage setup for me. Even compared to having 2 gunfighters together or a virpil. I mostly use mine for Star Citizen though and don't require pedal brakes. MKV is built to a last and is ultra sensitive for tight flying. Havnn't experienced any other rudder pedals with this quality of construction.

      Yeah, i would like to know that too to see if they'll fit on my wooden DIY rig/cockpit.
      Strange that you can't find the dimensions on the VKB website.

    I bought the vkb mk-v rudder pedals because they were the least expensive non-plastic option, and have a small physical footprint. Yeah, I'd like toe brakes, but I don't need them at my current level of sim immersion. I've never built a gaming rig, so I had to swallow hard buying quality HOTAS, rudder, and GPU just to play a "game". Anyway, my limitation is not the gear any more, it's putting in the practice hours.

    Hi thanks for the video. May i ask:
    being rudder pedals with no toe-brakes means i cant use them to apply brakes on the landing gear when i have landed?
    If thats true, then, which peddals would allow me to do so, that can be used for MSFS and DCS and are compattible with my VKB Gladiator Joystick?
    Sorry if its a dumb question but im new into all this.
    Thank you.

      You can always use another button or axis for brakes but for a higher end option with toe brakes I would either go for the virpil ace interceptor pedals or the new winwing pedals

    The movement is not natural, looks more like braking action by pressing the pedals. I prefer MFG Crosswind with double action, ruddering and braking.

      The rotating movement is common in sailplanes and helicopters. It's not really anymore unnatural than any other type of movement
